If you're originally from the New York or New Jersey area and you want pizza that tastes as close to home as possible-make this your new spot. Imagine this: pizza with delicious savory toppings and a generous amount of cheese than isn't greasy, light airy crust, large slices and the option of personal pies so it's not just a treat but an actual meal...that's what I had. To be more specific I had the Michaelangelo personal pizza 10" which had tender chunks of chicken and roasted peppers as a topping. My husband had a slice topped with buffalo chicken. We both sat and ate in silence which for us is a sign that it tastes really good. The decor inside is simple but cozy, clean and inviting. Although they offer pizza by the slice that they make beforehand, but the personal pizzas and most other items on the menu are made to order. My husband spotted the guy working his magic with the dough for my pizza. When they brought our pizza to the table the aromas were a pleasant signal of what we were about to have. We will definitely be back to try one of the many other menu items like the hot subs or pasta dishes that all sound very tempting. Come show them some love-great spot! read more

Great thin crust pizza in many different varieties. Clean with plenty of seating. Service was pleasant and food arrived quickly.

Service was great, not feeling the NY pizza comparison but the cheese topping was good.

Great wings. Delicious Eggplant Parm. Excellent service! Conveniently located. A local hidden gem a short drive from Main Street.

Meh. So many Redditors equate this to the pizza at La Pizzeria Metro and boy are they incorrect. The place actually has nice ( very basic) atmosphere. Beers are cheap and cold and service is really friendly. Unfortunately the pizza is nothing special and the ingredients are not fresh or imaginative at all. My pizza had what seemed like canned mushrooms and canned pineapple and was fairly greasy. Again. Nice place just not great fresh ingredient, light pizza. read more

I am glad I went here for a slice of pizza before my art class, which was in the same shopping center. Usually, I am picky about my pizza. The cheese pizza was so good. I particularly enjoyed the cheese. I went here again, and it was just as good. There were nice men behind the counter. They had Diet Caffeine Free Coke, which was a help with a night class. I took a slice of pizza to go. I really would not get a whole pizza, because I would be tempted to binge! read more

Amazing Pizza! I've been going here for around 8 years or so. The service is always prompt and friendly. The Pizza is always done just right, the crust has just the right amount of crustiness. It's a great place for me take my Mom when I visit her read more

Great pizza, service, and timeliness. We've always had a great experience, even when placing large orders with little notice. BTW, if you put pineapple on pizza your review should be disqualified :) read more

The best pizza around!!! The garlic knots are a must try.. absolutely love their food ! read more

The pizza is a thin crust with a very nice blend of cheese. It is very tasty either warm or cold. Yes sometimes I like to eat it cold. It is delicious either way. It is a New York style Pizza. Way better than Grottos's or Tony's. I have had great sandwiches and pasta here but I really love the pizza. Definitely the best around. I have been going here for at least 15 years. read more

Food is delicious. Eat in or take out it is great. I order online and it is ready when I get there. Eat in, it is quiet so you can have a conversation read more

Amazing Pizza, baked rolls/Strombolis , old staples like parmigiana which are served as hoagies or entrees and traditional dishes like eggplant rollatini. (You can an tell the owners are from New York). The menu is perfect size and there is a large, comfortable outdoor covered patio if you'd like to enjoy the weather. I've enjoyed many meals inside, outside and take out. I do recommend skipping the garlic knots. They are fried so they have the texture of a zeppole but instead of powdered sugar they are brushed with garlic and olive oil. One other thing- the Grandma Pizza is delicious but the crust is all wrong. You can order it, but it may not quite be what you are expecting. read more

More than decent good pizza. Thin with a light bottom crisp, not too doughy, and not overly greasy. I wouldn't mind dining in as the place seems clean and follows strict guidelines. Also there's outdoor seating as well. Nestled in Louvier's Plaza so it's a bit more calmer than being out on Main Street. The staff here are nice and plenty of parking. Will be returning to indulge their Margherita's Pizza. read more

Cacciatori Pizza & Pasta - Primavera - Pizza Near Me - Newark, Delaware

Just got takeout for the first time. Chicken parm was very tasty with huge amount of pasta-enough for two. Meatballs were average. Lasagna had not enough pasta. read more

Great pizza, outdoor patio, nice folks. Slice or whole pie, many creative combo's. Worth a trip.

Best pizza in the area. Wife love's the Grilled Chicken Cacciatore salad. Never had a bad meal. Great owners.

I moved to the west coast from the east coast 18 years ago & every time I come home to visit I want good NY style pizza. It's impossible to find in California. The pizza here at Cacciatori is absolutely incredible! We got the 14" but I wish we would've gotten the 18" instead. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town. read more

Stopped in last night for the first time just craving some NYC style pizza and this place was pretty good! Monica was a very friendly waitress who greeted us and made us feel welcomed. The sauce has a subtle tang but it was good. The toppings were generously spread throughout the entire pie. The crust was crisp with the perfect amount of depth (not too thick, not too thin). Nicely done read more

I was sitting at my desk and I opened up my pizza box and garlic knots I took to go. Next thing, I happened to be back in Brooklyn eating the finest pizza. Cacciatori Pizza & Pasta - Amazing pizza and garlic knots - Pizza Near Me - Newark, Delaware

Best NY style pizza in the area. Very consistent. Been my favorite for many years. Xtra large pies really are Xtra large!

I have to preface this review by saying this is strictly based on Cacciatori Pizza & Pasta's pizza. I have not had any of the other menu items they offer. I'm originally from the NY area and I'm very particular about my pizza. I have to say these guys make a very good pizza. I would have given them four and a half stars if I could have because that would be my true score. A nice crispy crust with a tasty sauce and generous with the toppings. Their X- large pizza is a good size at 18 inches and really delivers on taste. The employees are very friendly and they are very efficient at getting you your food. No standing around waiting. I love that. I would have given them 5 stars however theirs's isn't the best pizza I've ever had. That being said their pizza is one of the best I've had in the area. This is my go to place when I order pizza. read more

If you leave a tip at the counter, the owner splits it with who works the counter. You should know who you are really tipping when you leave the waitresses your money. You are putting more cash in the owners pocket while he takes from employees that make much less. read more

To start, what makes this pizza place so special is the staff. Always pleasant and friendly. Then there is the pizza. Great selections and gluten free pies that are just as good! I also can honestly recommend their pasta and salads dishes too. FYI, Their house Italian dressing is killer! read more

It has very good service and food, especially for the price people are nice and they take care of you

Best pizza in Northern Delaware. There really is nothing more to say!! Like pizza? Go to Cacciatori's!

This place was recommended by a Celiac friend so I tried it too. Yes, they pay attention to special needs. I now know a good place for Gluten Free, read more

Great pizza, Great staff, Great service !!!!!!! Try to eat there, a slice coming out on the oven is terrific. One of the best if not the best in Newark. read more

Good pizza with a crisp crust. I pass 4 pizza places to get to this one. Mini pepperoni rolls are good too!

First time customer in search of the best local NY style pizza. My last favorite place closed. This place is a little out of the way for me but I think it will be worth it. My son & I both enjoyed an XL Cheese Pizza and I liked the personal size Primavera pizza. Well cooked, not burned, plenty of cheese and you can fold a slice in half to eat which is the way pizza should be! Will be back again. If quality is consistent, I will up my rating to 5 stars. It's not easy finding good pizza in DE, but I think I found it! read more

Your everyday Italian/pizza joint selection. Pizza is good, never disappoints. Sandwiches are good, but nothing to wow you with. Nice place, and staff is always kind. Never had a problem and always game to go back. read more

I've been a customer and fan for over 7 years. Never had anything but a good meal here. I go for the Chicken Park entree and its enough for leftovers for lunch the next day. read more

The food is good, but rather expensive for what you get. The employees aren't willing to give you anything for free. If you want more ranch dressing for your salad, you will be forced into paying 50 cents. Tony's Cafe is a better option than this restaurant, considering that Tony's has soda machines, the food is much cheaper, and the employees are willing to do anything to make your experience good. This doesn't mean that I don't like this restaurant, because I do, it's just that the prices are out of this world crazy. The facilities are extremely clean and the employees are very nice. If the prices became more reasonable, this restaurant could easily beat Tony's. read more

Cacciatori Pizza & Pasta - best buffalo chicken pizza of all of delaware. - Pizza Near Me - Newark, Delaware

For never having actually been to this restaurant, I have had their pizza a fair amount and it is really good. On Friday nights they fairly regularly provide free pizza at Deerfield Fine Wines next door. I have tried their plain cheese pizza there multiple times and it is always pretty good. Recently a girlfriend had a party at her house and got the Bruschetta pizza and that is when I knew I had to do a review. The bruschetta pizza was so good! It was pretty much a tomato pie with a very flavorful and fresh bruschetta on top. I could (and did) eat a ton of it! I feel like I need to go and actually order directly from Cacciatori's sometime and try out some of their other pizzas. I think at that point I may have to add another star. read more

This is some of the best Italian food you can get anywhere. Not just Delaware, but anywhere. I recently had the Zuppa di Pesce and it is one of my favorite meals. My wife had the Chicken Piccata and my kids had the Chicken Parm. All amazing. The people are friendly and the food is awesome for take out or eating there. When I'm not in Delaware I miss the food at Cacciatoris. read more

We just moved here from Staten Island, NY. The food was great and the prices are good. The pizza is pretty much NYC pizza. I'm so happy to have found this place. It wasn't by accident a gentlemen told me about while I was waiting online to go into Bings Bakery. This will definitely be our family pizza and pasta place going forward. read more

Love their Pizza, especially the San Gennaro! And all the other dishes I've had from this place. The Garlic Knots are awesome, and the Penne Vodka is perfect. Have eaten inside there a few times and the wait staff is friendly with no frills. read more

Outstanding. I used to go almost every Friday when I worked close to the shop. Once my office location changed where I would be 30 the wrong way from home it was impractical. Well last night since I was in the area I picked up a pie. Better than I even remembered. Will make it a habit of going again. Not every Friday but hopefully once a month. Best pizza by far read more

Grandma's Pizza and Chicken Bacon Ranch slices are the best, hands down. Actually, everything is good, this place will never disappoint.

Never fails to disappoint. Had quite a few of their food options over the last year or so and always enjoy it.

Hands down my favorite pizza restaurant in all of Delaware. This place not only serves delicious food but has amazing customer service. I've worked in some of the best Restaurants and hotels and I know good food when I see it. Literally have been coming here for years and it makes me think of my grandmas kitchen even though she's not Italian m. Angela, Gianni, and Anthony have the place running with supreme customer care putting out the best food. They make you feel like you are eating at the kitchen table. Not everywhere can you feel that way. Hands down my all time Delaware favorite. It's not far from the university and has great pizza and pasta. Favorite slice hands down grandmas. I love the people and food here. It's so great. Really a great place to make you feel at home! read more
