An ok pizza place at a reasonable price. Their crust is almost a cross between a pan crust and a thin crust. I tried the meat-lovers pizza. It had a good amount of toppings on it. There could have been a little more seasoning added. The staff was not very friendly. When I stopped in to pick up my pizza, the staff was not friendly at all and didn't even say hello. Seasons Pizza maintains a nice little perch midway down the pecking order of Newark pizza places. It may not have the great location of Margherita's, the quality ingredients of Wood Fired, or the dollar slices of Papa John's, but it beats Pat's any day and is a far cry better than the 'za at 7/11. Most of my food from Seasons is ordered online, where I can make the most of their $5 two-topping pizzas with the web topping selection system. They usually have the pizza ready within twenty, and the walk over is a brief one for me. On occasion, I've eaten whole medium pizzas in one sitting, but they generally feed either two people or make for two meals. I like steak, chicken and Alfredo sauce with basil, garlic and oregano. Keep your bottle of sriracha handy as it makes every pie just that much better. read more

Chicken fingers were terrible. But the pizza was okay for Newark, Delaware. I recommend the thin crust pizza with extra cheese and spinach. I think it's better than grottos down the street, the price was right for what you're getting. It was less than $10 for a medium pizza with the extra toppings which easily feeds two people. Love this place but the other night ordered a chicken sandwich that was supposed to be grilled and they sent me the sandwich 3 times two where fried and the last one was raw cold i gave up bc it was like 10pm by the time it showed up. Not a fan at all. I like the location, the building, and the people are all very nice. But the pizza. Their slogan for a time was something to the tune of "We're more than just a pizzeria." Well, there's a reason for that. The pizza is awful. There's no cheese, the crust (and really the whole pizza) is so greasy, but the worst part is the sauce. I am convinced that it is not tomato sauce but in fact rather a combination of ketchup and red dye #3. It is so gross. And one more thing- this pizza becomes 10 times as nasty when eaten cold. Most cold pizzas are just as good, if not better, than their heated counterparts, but this is certainly not one of them. All that being said, the only other thing I've tried on their menu is the Seaso-bites. These are very good. In fact, if I were just to rate them on their Seaso-bites they would probably get 4 stars. But alas, Seasons is a pizzeria, and their pizza is disgusting, thus they get 2 stars. read more

By far the worst pizza on Main Street. If you are going here, you are wrong. There are zero redeeming qualities about this establishment. I refuse to call it a "restaurant" because one would expect to find something edible at a restaurant. The pizza is greasy and spongy yet tastes like cardboard. The chicken bites are rubbery and flavorless. The tuna fish is 98% mayo. The salads are only wilted on a good day. There are plenty of other places on Main Street to grab a bite to eat. I have eaten as several different Season's Pizzas to get an understanding of where I would go for different things. This particular Seasons was okay for the pizza. The crust was standard. Sauce was a little light. Toppings were average quality, size, and amount spread across the pizza. It is not the worst of the Seasons; but not the best (or top 2). The good thing about this Seasons that bumped me up to 3 instead of 2 stars was the club sandwiches. This site lets you substitute fries for the chips in the club sandwich order. That alone was a plus, but they put more bacon in their BLT then some of the other sites and bacon does make everything better. Would I return? For sandwiches and fries yes. For pizza, no, I would go to a another Seasons. read more

Saw this place on my way to work one day and decided to get some quick dinner later that afternoon. I never realized it was a chain because I'm not from this area but more on that later. I ordered a cheesesteak and slice of pizza (was curious about it) to go. Upon entering, the girl at the register barely acknowledged me and simply took my order, which is fine but when I asked if the cheesesteak came with potatoes or peppers, she looked at me like I had three heads. I guess those are NJ toppings so I learned my lesson. Anyway, the cheesesteak came with lettuce and tomatoes. It wasn't great and it wasn't horrible, it was barely ok. And the pizza was the same, not overwhelming in taste. I think the worst part of my experience was not the food but the customer service. It started with the girl at the counter but it ended with a guy who handed me the food without saying "thank you," "come again," or anything really. Something about it was unpleasant and the sense I got was that these people simply did not want to be there. I don't think I would go back. I really like the pizza here. It's thick and has a very signature taste. All of the food is pretty fresh and of high quality. There is one man who works the delivery who is a bit rude but other than that the employees are nice. Make sure you ask for your pizza to be thick, or they will automatically make it thin. This is one thing that I'm not to fond of. The facilities are very clean especially the bathrooms. I would definitely recommend. read more

Seasons Pizza in Newark.... I just ordered a chicken Caesar wrap. Its disappointing to say the least. It had lettuce, chicken & parm cheese on it. Did it have ceasar dressing on it? Did I taste a drop? Or was that all in my head? Here's a tip,,, Free of charge... because I really want you to do better.... Toss the lettuce in Caesar dressing before you put it on the wrap. That is how Caesar salad is made.... not a couple miscellaneous drops through out. Thx for a crappy lunch. We the people expect better! read more

Just received my soggy pizza and poorly put together spaghetti with meatballs. After waiting over two hour on the delivery, the order was free but the food was not what I came to expect as we order from this location regularly. I will not be ordering from this location anymore. Poor quality food on top of a late delivery is not acceptable. I guess I will be ordering from Claymont, Pat's, or any of the many other establishments in the area. Used to love seasons. We orde from Seasons almost every Monday night during Monday Night Football season. 1st they take Chicken Gyros off the menu, which were REALLY good! Then the club sandwiches were done away with! Now their crab cakes are GONE too! I loved the crab cake dinner platter and sandwich. UGH! Tried a new wrap to see if there was something new I could try to like, Chicken Burrito Wrap. It's good but says it comes with a sriracha mayo on it. Last week, no sriracha mayo...ok, maybe it was an off week. Tried it again, no Sriracha mayo. Dry again. It's not bad, just dry. Even double checked the menu to see if maybe I misunderstood or if there was a 'dressing cup' of the mayo in the bag but nothing. The pizza is just ok. Crust tastes premade and tasteless. So I liked that I had other go-to's that I truly enjoyed at Seasons that were different from other pizza places but not anymore. read more

I've been there several times. The food's always been fresh and tasty. Service is so so. Twice I've had to wait way too long for slices of pizza. Not sure why since they were sitting there. Should've only taken seconds to reheat. But, they're only 99 cents and they're not bad. I love the soda machine. It's the one that has 100's of choices. And a lot of them are low calorie, which is what I need. My favorite is the cheese steak. I love how the cheese just melts in my mouth. Only other complaint is it's hard to get in and out of. This place is so bad, I had to make a Yelp account to warn others. You can get a better pizza at Subway...yes the sub shop. This is the worst pizza place on Main Street. Margherita's and Peace a Pizza are both great, Papa Johns and Grottos are mediocre but all of them are still way better than Seasons. I walked inside around 11:30am for an early lunch after their "$6 medium cheese" deal grabbed my attention. Every step I took, I had to peel my shoes off the floor. It was like they moped with soda. I don't know if they're not used to customers coming in that early or what but it took a couple minutes for someone to greet me at the cash register. I thought "Ok, whatever good food always trumps bad service", ordered my food and waited....and waited. After about 20min I started to look into the kitchen to see if I could witness any progress being made. Luckily I saw progress, but unfortunately for me it was in the form of the chef getting ready for work putting on his clothes. Seriously? they could have at least told me I was going to have to wait a while. Another 20 min later, I receive my pizza and take it back to my apartment. The only redeeming quality about it was its temperature. I will not subject myself to that experience ever again and actively tell others to avoid this hellhole. Finally went up & asked said if was just coming out. We'll, got a fairly good tomato sauce a few chunks of mozzarella, and nothing else, on a fairly thick crust that seemed pre-made. Asked him @ the basil (shown on the menu). A bit of a blank stare, he said he'd get. Another 10 minutes later, went up & asked again. Oops, he forgot. This is specifically for the Newark Main Street location. The food is good, salad ingredients very fresh, but it doesn't seem to be doable on a lunch hour, even when you only work a block or so away. The past 3 times we've gone for lunch, timing seems to be an issue. The previous times, we had the time to wait, but lunch hour turned into lunch 1.5 hrs. This last time 4/30, we sat at a table through our lunch hour waiting for the order (3 slices of plain cheese pizza, 1 side-salad, 1 rice pudding). My coworker had to go to the cashier and change it from "eat-in" to "to-go", then he left to return to work for a meeting while I stayed to collect the food when it came out - 3 cold slices of plain pizza. Don't know what took so long. The pizza tasted fresh, but was cold - like refrigerator cold. Placed an order for delivery last night (Saturday) for a chopped anti pasta with oil & vinegar, and an order of meatballs. Easy enough, right? We live a quarter mile away, college is out... so we figured it wouldn't take too terribly long. About 80 minutes later we finally got our order. The salad was a few big hunks of lettuce barely broken from the head, 3 pieces of cucumber, rolled meats and American cheese, 4 Greek olives, no onions and some tomato's. Oh and not oil and vinegar. Seriously? You can't get this right? We received two round containers of olive oil vinegarette that looked like white colored creamy Italian. Threw that out. I chopped up lettuce,and some cucumber,onion and cherry tomatoes from my refrigerator and used Caesar dressing of my own. Dear God can you just do this the right way, please? Meatballs were pretty good. Bottom line, we will never order from seasons again. Plain laziness or possibly stupidity on part of the person making it. We learned a hard lesson. Delivery food is consistently wrong! Food has really gone downhill in the last year (and we have been ordering for over 8 years). Some examples include... If we order extra cheese on a quesadilla, it will come with no cheese. Since when does a quesadilla have no cheese at all! We ordered the Thai Chicken Bowl and it was so drenched in salad dressing, it was wilted and uneatable! "Well done" wings were under cooked. Our plain cheese pizza was burned and black on top. There's not much to say about Seasons. They're not bad, but they're not that good either. With so many Pizza places just on Main St, let alone in the Newark area, I don't know why you'd go here. Pat's and Grotto's are the other local chain pizza places that are very similar. I like them both more, but pizza is very much a personal preference kind of thing. I'd recommend Peace A Pizza or Margherita's if you want good pizza. If you don't like NY style thin slices, then I'd goto Pat's which offers up fluffier pizza. read more

I give this location two stars because I have in the past two years gotten what I ordered only 20% of the time. Seasons makes a good pie and everything else is good quality at other locations. We eat in at Ogletown Location twice a month and have no complaints. However, this location abuses its' proximity to a college campus and desperate students. My family lives within the delivery radius of this location and can't get anything we actually order. Two years of "freebies" to make up for messed up orders just doesn't cut it anymore. Poor management, poor quality control, poor performance and zero execution. The taste only matters if you get what you ordered. Go to Grottos. read more
