My husband and I have been going at least once a week to the Newark Buffalo Wild Wings for over two years since we moved here from NY. We always sit at the bar and always order the same thing. Although it's often "iffy," meaning they get something wrong or something is cold, they fix it, so we deal. TODAY WAS A FIRST. We sat at the bar 20 minutes before getting to order our drinks and food. Then another 20 before the drinks came, but no sign of the food. The bartender went back and checked, nothing, then eventually a waitress brought the food. Cold, especially the fries. So we asked for fresh fries. Another 10-12 minutes, nothing, so we asked about them. They finally came, colder than the first. We complained to the manager, who pretty much treated us like the whole situation was OUR FAULT. Here's our response: people want hot food the way they order it and shouldn't have to take anything less. HIRE MORE STAFF AND TRAIN YOUR MANAGERS. After being regulars for two years, we won't return. Very poor experience today. I felt bad for the server as he was the only one on the floor and was more than quadruple sat at the same time and no manager or anyone else came to help him so we all had ridiculous wait times. Our mozzarella sticks were exploded and they still served them to us which we had to send back. Buffalo Wild Wings is consistently inconsistent. It is the definition of rolling the dice when you want to eat/order out. The wings can be cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. Or they can be so deeply fried that the bones splinter in your hands, and the meat breaks into shards. The wings can be absolutely drenched in some of the best sauces around. Or they can come out so dry that you question if they even have sauce on them. The dips might be exactly what you asked for, or they can be completely forgotten. And servers and hosts can be warm and friendly or so amazingly uninterested in paying customers they will ignore you while you wait patiently in front of them. I've had food brought out within 15 minutes of ordering on some of the busiest nights a restaurant can have. But I've also sat in an empty Buffalo Wild Wings and waited half an hour for service, let alone food. My point is, for the ridiculous price that their food comes at, I'm not willing to gamble that money away. I'm writing this review in hopes that someone at Buffalo Wild Wings will see it and want to make their business better. Until then, I'll be taking my business somewhere else. read more

The chicken is supposed to be fried in Buffalo sauce. I got grilled chicken that was extremely tough with wing sauce poured over it. Then, ordered ranch instead of blue cheese and got blue cheese. We were in town for a hockey tournament and our team and all of the parents decided to go to BWW for lunch and to watch a hockey game. The service was outstanding and very cordial. The food, on the other hand..... Two of our players ended up sick and threw up all night and several of the parents got sick, as well. The wings were significantly undercooked which, we believe, was the culprit. The players and parents who did not have the wings were just fine. The S&V has very little flavor, Walmart makes much better. The mild looked brushed on and no sauce left in the pan. The $6.50 large fries was in a large container but only 1/3 full, about enough to fill a McD container. So, the cheese curds were good, way to go. My daughter and I enjoy going to Buffalo Wild Wings and have consistently found the service excellent. The servers are always friendly and timely. The food is excellent (hamburgers and wings are exactly what my teenage daughter loves) and the tables and bathrooms are always spotless. They are a 10 plus in our book! read more

My first, and LAST, experience with Buffalo Wild Wings was courtesy of this location. First up was a wait for a booth while one was "cleaned". There was no one in front of us, or behind us, while we waited. After a few minutes, someone comes back to escort us to the booth. The guy who escort us to the table sees this and with a chuckle says "Oh sorry." On the floor, I can see more food and paper trash too. Then we wait a bit, and after about 2 minutes a server comes over. I am exhausted even thinking about how much I'll have to type here to express my frustration. The server was very pleasant, but would disappear for a solid 10 minutes at clip. The first fountain drink I ordered was abysmal. What in the world is coming out of those taps? An order of wings, just classic Buffalo, took almost 25 minutes to appear on our table. The explanation according to our server "Sorry it took so long, we had to use fresh wings". So, let's think about this. What is everyone else eating? Not fresh wings? Old wings? The wings were "ok". In my opinion, not cooked consistently. Skin was mostly rubbery. Sauce was fine. Nothing more than I could make at home with a stick of unsalted butter and some Red Hot sauce. $19.99 for 20 wings? That's truly robbery, and we paid it. Ouch. Then, onto my wrap. New Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant near the U Del campus. New building, nice layout and decor (read: lot's of HD TV's and projectors/screen). Our large group (~10) did not need to wait for a table on a Saturday night in late August. Parking lot was completely full even though all the tables inside were not. Good beer selection and good wings, although most of the 50 we ordered were a bit dry - could have used more sauce. This alone made it a three star showing - when Wings are in your name you need to do them perfectly. Variety of flavors and spiciness was good. Drinks were filled pretty frequently. Sampler appetizer was a good size/value/variety of items. Would try again, since it is a newer location they might still be working out the kinks in the kitchen. read more

I've recently started to do Newark De reviews since I got a new job down this way. Today was my first visit to Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar and I think I can sum it all up in one familiar phrase: You get what you pay for. Having visited them during lunch on a Thursday I availed myself of their 5 for $3 boneless wings. There are over 15 different ways they can prepare your wings and there is a reason for that. The boneless wings are prepared first, LATER spiced which makes a difference because you could taste the rubber texture of just how long those boneless wings sat under a heating lamp. Desert Heat = rubbery chicken with a simple cyane pepper and chillie based rub with too much salt. Mediocre combination at best. I followed this up by the cheese burger sliders, a lunch menu item, which didn't really improve things. See the meat was definitely from some sort of frozen, pressed and fried source.. all flavor having left before the actual process of cooking occurred. The onion rings tasted faintly of dish soap. I rarely pan a restaurant this badly but Buffalo Wild Wings earned it. Final bill $14.56... and I got what I paid for. This is a place where they have cut corners to the point of destroying their food. They even use their own Ketchup instead of Heinz, that's so un-American you might as well hand out pamphlets and erect a statue of Lenin in the parking lot. Any good points?
