Omg a vegan Italian place!!!!! My niece brought me to this casual eatery. She ordered the Bee Sting pizza which was spicy, flavourful and absolutely amazing. It was on a regular crust as they do not do gluten free crust. I ordered the gf vegan lasagne which was served a bit burnt. It was a bit dry and bland but tasted ok with chili oil. The menu mentioned gf focaccia but they didn't have any so I ate the regular. It was tasty but upset my tummy so I'll stick to only gf next time. We did not have room for dessert;)

Really fantasticoooo pizza! Owners are the same as Via Tevere so I'm not surprised it's killer pizza. The crust is perfect and chewy, alittle less on the bubbly/charred side but so damn good! We ordered the arugula salad to start and it was a great portion size especially for their happy hour $9 price. It had salty capers, red onions, arugula and a delicious dressing topped with pear. Would totally order again as it was very addictive! For pizza we got the spicy margherita and it came with toppings of olives, marinara, cheese and cracked chili and basil. I personally wanted more heat but realize I love spice more than the average person. We added hot chilli oil (it's truly the best) and cracked chilies to our pieces! The beers on tap were tasty too with a Brassneck IPA and a Off The Rail Pilsner we were thrilled with our brews and zza! The biggest difference on the pizza that gave away the vegan twist was the cheese. I've just never found vegan cheese appealing and while it still tasted good on the pizza, I'm a mozzarella girl through and through and need a gooey cheese stretch. Will definitely be back tho and I want to try more pizzas! The best for plant based pizza by far in this city!!!

Killin' it since day 1. We came here the first day they opened up to the public - I put their page up on Yelp! You're welcome. I'll take credit for that. Rocky time to start a restaurant as we were just easing up on COVID measures, but they followed the regulations and hit it out of the park. Entire menu is plant based (vegan). If you're not one, don't let that stop you from eating here. The toppings, the cheese, the dough, are all spot on. This is great pizza!

Went with a few friends and tried the Tartufo and Pesto pizzas (2 pizzas split 3 ways), and the Tiramisu. I liked the pesto best because I thought the zucchini was interesting (never tried zucchini on pizza before and it worked surprisingly well) and I liked the salty bite of the artichoke hearts. The truffle paté on the tartufo was really good but aside from the bites with paté, this one was pretty simple, it just tasted vaguely mushroomy and didn't have a whole lot going on. I though their crusts were really good - the body of the pizza wasn't flimsy, but foldable if you like to eat your slices NY-style, the edges were thick and pillowy, and it was just a little charred. However, despite the good things about both pizzas, I found that they were both way too oily for my liking. Both of the friends I went with were into this, but I'm just unable to enjoy pizza when it's drenched in olive oil. I felt like the vegan cheese had a lot of potential to be good, but all the olive oil mixed in with it made it liquidy and diluted. I probably would have given 2 stars for the pizza alone. The tiramisu was the redeemer here. I usually like a moister tiramisu, but I thought the denser cake layers worked well here. The cashew cream had an amazing texture and flavour. It was generously topped with very fine chocolate shavings, and I really liked the fine shavings as opposed to coarser pieces because they didn't disrupt the creaminess of the rest of the dessert. This was pretty big - we split it 3 ways and everyone still got a good amount since we all just wanted something light. The service was great, and the prices are fair for the quality and portions - the ingredients were clearly fresh and the vegan cheese seemed to be of very high quality, it was just the preparation of the pizza with the oil that ruined it for me. I wouldn't go back, but if you don't mind a little oil this may be the place for you since both of my friends insisted it was the best vegan pizza they've tried.

First time going to a vegan pizzeria - by chance! We didn't realize until we sat down and got the menu in our hands, but it was WORTH IT. The pizzas we ordered were delicious. The atmosphere was quite loud, I was shouting across the table to talk to my partner. I didn't mind it to be honest, it made it more lively if anything. I always appreciate a pizzeria with an open kitchen. Our server was super friendly and accommodating with my allergies. We ordered: - Diavola, tomato base. I really enjoyed the cashew mozzarella!! Plant based pepperoni tasted like real pepperoni too. - Gargonzola, roasted garlic base. I'm not a huge fan of onions, but this one hit the spot. Would definitely recommend trying this place out. On my next visit, I will be trying the Bee Sting.

Friend and I came here and we got 2 pizzas to split. 1. Bee sting ($23) very flavourful. I was curious was vegan honey was and all I can say is that I got a sweet hotness. Overall, I liked this one a lot 2. Salsiccla ($24): my friend and I were very curious as to to what whipped potato was and it was more or less mash potato. I liked this one too, but I don't think the olive oil alone did it Justice. I think I'd get it again with the roasted garlic purée.

Oh. My. Amazing pizza, all plant based. My wife is vegan and I dabble with it, so I have my share of experience with vegan food and non. And this was better than literally any pizza I've ever had. The Gorgonzola in particular. Just wow.

Great to see yet another vegan pizza joint in town, and yet another vegan food restaurant in Mt Pleasant. Lots of different pizzas available, with four different bases. Plus a bunch of appies / salads. We ordered an arugula salad ($12), a salsiccia pizza ($21.5), and a diavola pizza ($20) through their online order system. The arugula salad was very tasty, but quite salty. The dressing was nice and all the ingredients were fresh--the feta-like crumble was a tad too salty though. 4/5 Both pizzas were tasty, though not all that crisp or sturdy--maybe the slight sogginess is just a function of take-out. The salsiccia pizza was really nice, with the whipped potato making this very creamy. The roasted pepper and caramelized onion were both great. Very nice. 4/5 The diavola pizza, with a tomato base, was really nice. The spicy pepperoni and chili packed quite a spice and added a nice layer of complexity to this. Quite spicy, but not too over the top. This was our preferred over the two. 4.5/5 Overall, the pizzas were good but not close to worth the price--especially compared to, say, Virtuous Pie, where you can get just as interesting, artisan vegan pizzas for quite a bit less. However, the pizza sizes at Grano are a little larger. Worth trying and the quality is good, but not sure how good the value is given the prices.

Delicious vegan pizza. And I mean vegan pizza that actually tastes like the real deal. They have a good selection of pizzas to choose from. Luckily, I was able to try a variety of their pizzas and was happy with all of them! They were all tasty and had their own distinct flavour. Prices may seem a bit high, but it's worth it for the quality and taste.

I've been meaning to try this place as I've been a big fan of Via Tevere. The ingredients were fresh and the food deliciously made, but not being vegan I probably prefer Via Tevere over Grano.

    Picture of my pizza

Visited recently and will say pizza is... BELOW... my expectations. Starting off with a cheese pizza I expected it to be good.. I mean how can you fuck up a cheese pizza am i right? WRONG. The Co-owner (DOM) walks out with what looked to be shit on a plate. I genuinely could've thrown a thin crust guiseppe in the oven and that bitch wouldve smacked harder than this booty dank pizza. DISRESPECTFULLY, never pullin up to this joint again cuh.

I'm a fan of Via Tevere but haven't been since becoming vegan 3 years ago. When I heard that Grano was opening I was super excited. We ordered a pizza and 2 desserts to go. The pizza that we decided to try was the Tartufo. The crust was amazing, perfectly charred just the way I like it, not over cooked. The toppings were good, the only negative, there was missing just a little seasoning which made this pizza a little bland. For dessert we ordered the Tiramisu and a Cannoli. As an Italian, I was super excited for these 2 and my hopes were really high, especially because this is an Italian pizzeria. To be honest, these were a huge disappointment. The Tiramisu, i'm not sure that it can be called Tiramisu to be honest. It was nothing like it. It was dry, missing that coffee and liqueur flavor like an actual tiramisu, I know it can be improved cause I make an awesome one.. (hint hint if you read this Grano, message me) And well for the Cannoli, I'm not sure what Italians from Italy would call this, it doesn't have the crispy shell of a cannoli, and filling can be made better. To be honest, I will be going back to try another pizza and maybe a few drinks. I won't give up on them cause i'm sure that they will improve their desserts.

I didn't have very high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by the pizzas here. They offer a variety of veggie and meat pizzas that can be made with regular crust or deep dish style. We ordered a small deep dish margharita ($19.99) and a medium deep dish butter chicken ($23.99) pizza. Both weren't true deep dish pizzas, but the crust was nice and thick. I'd recommend the pizzas here to anyone who likes a breadier crust. My only minor complaint is that the pizzas didn't have enough sauce to complement the thick crust. The pizzas kept well for leftovers too. They tasted just as good the next day heated up in our toaster oven.
