Grabbed a pizza to go…read more Ordered a half pepperoni and half killer bee. They don't let you do half on all pizzas but the first 5 or 6 on the menu. The pizza was great. Nice crust with a good chew. Good amount of toppings. Really solid New York style pizza. Dave Portnoys pizza review went to their downtown location and gave it a 8.4 if you follow him. There was no parking on Avenue but I found some parking on the residential street just North of the restaurant. The inside is really nice with comfy seating. Not a ton of seating but I think they get a lot of takeout. Service was good but I did have to wait more than the 20 mins they said as they seemed to be dealing with online orders.

Tried North of Brooklyn Pizzeria and it did NOT disappoint…read more I got the Caesar salad and a half Margherita / Killer Bee pizza, and everything was amazing. The Caesar salad was SO crunchy and fresh--like every bite had that perfect crisp, and the dressing was light but still super flavorful. You can tell the ingredients are really high quality. The pizza was just as good. The Margherita was classic and perfectly balanced, and the Killer Bee side had such a rich, unique flavor that made it stand out. And the crust? Light, slightly crispy, and just done right. Honestly such a solid spot--I'll definitely be back

I'd never tried this type of pizza, where it's made in a rectangle shape and then cut to order, so…read moreI was intrigued to check out Ciao Roma. They had a number of pizzas to choose from, but I went with one that had some kind of meat and hot banana peppers on top. (There are no signs or labels telling you what you're getting, which seems like a weird choice.) After a few minutes in the oven, my pizza was ready to eat. I didn't realize until it was right in front of me that it didn't have any cheese, which meant that it was a seriously dry slice of 'za. Some dipping sauce or hot oil might've helped but nothing of the sort was available. Despite these issues, I basically enjoyed this concoction. The bready crust is pretty tasty and the hot sliced meat on top was delicious. Would I ever want to eat this again? Probably not, but I wasn't upset that I ordered it. In the future, I think I'll just stick with regular, conventional pizza. But in fairness, my dining companion was over the moon eating this stuff, so your mileage may vary.

I love that Ciao Roma sells pizza by weight. They're willing to do smaller slices too (see my…read morephotos). It's a brilliant concept for anyone looking to sample a variety of flavours without feeling too stuffed. Among their offerings, the mushroom pizza stood out as a clear winner for me -- highly recommend giving it a try! Overall, the dough is light and sauce and toppings are flavourful. The shop is pleasantly spacious, offering a few tables for those who prefer to dine in, although it seems the majority opt for takeout. Service is quick, attentive, and cheerful. They also carry a variety of Brio flavours, for those looking to wash down their slices with something equally delightful.
