Still a great place for good pizza. We've been ordering pizza here since we moved to Avon. This place is consistently meeting expectations with mini personal pizzas, family pizzas, cheesy bread/cheese sticks, and big group orders. Over the years they have expanded and remodeled to be able to accommodate a larger lunch crowd since they offer a lunch buffet. Prices are fair, food taste great, and customer service is always friendly. We'll be going back and you should too.

This place is a little bit off of US hwy 36 hidden behind a Wendy's and a vape shop. There is plenty of parking but it is set up badly. I think it would be a little busier if it was in a better location. The cheese bread we got was pretty tasty but I have had better. I think it was priced at 6.50 . The pizza we had was the all meats it was the 18 inch it was affordably priced at 22 dollars and change. The whole order was 34 dollars and change with drinks. The pizza was really good. I will definitely be back. There was only one person working but we still had great service. The bathroom could have used some TLC . But as a whole it was pretty clean. They have a lunch buffet during the week at lunchtime that is pretty reasonable so I might give that a try.

Originally, we planned on eating at Subway. However, due to employee incompetence, it was closed. So, we walked next door and gazed our eyes upon a place that would change us forever. Pizzaville. We walked inside and soon found we were the only customers. However, that was okay with us because it created a relaxed atmosphere. Alongside the TV and chandilliers, this made it a 4/5 atmosphere. Now, after we walked in, we were greeted by a kind man who helped us select what size pizza we should order. Super great guy. Along with this, we got an order of breadsticks. We paid, took our seat, and we didn't have to wait long. The man came out 5 minutes later, super great guy, and brought us our food. And let me tell you, we devoured. You could say, it was amazing. 5/5 pizza and the breadsticks were decent as well. I forgot to mention, this delicious, large pizza and breadsticks, that easily fed all three of us, was only $20! Amazing value! With that value, we had some extra cash that we tipped the excellent service man with. Super great guy. Overall, it is undeniable that Pizzaville deserves these 5 stars and deserves so much more attention. I hope one this Pizzaville becomes a Pizzacity. Thank you for reading. Super great guy.

Their pizza hit the spot for my family of four. Wife and I got the (insert chef's kiss) Humble pizza. Crust is chewy and crisp. Kiddos each got the smallest sized pizza. Overall , price was spot on. Order at the counter, get your own drinks, they bring you the 'za. Lots of other options on their menu. Location is in a strip mall between Danville and Avon. Not a knock, just stating. Clean, friendly, easy and delicious night.

Great pizza. Not too greasy and the crust is good too. We got the taco pizza and it is better than it looks in previous reviews. The cheese sticks were amazing as well. It was a good find for a new pizza spot!

    Pizzaville box!

Went to lunch at Pizzaville and was happy with the choice! Ordered a small personal pizza, veggie, along with a salad! Service was very good, owner very polite, answered all questions I had and started our order immediately. My husband ordered a meat lovers type pizza, which we both liked too. He got the size a bit larger, which would have served both of us. We both had extra to take home! Our experience was good, food good, employee very friendly and they deliver to within 6 miles of the shop. Convenient location right off Hwy 36 and 525 East! I would recommend this pizza shop to everyone! Pizzaville box pretty too!

4 Chicken Tenders $6.99- I guess I should have known better ordering this from a pizza place.

Don't expect amazing chicken tenders from a pizza joint. These weren't even edible. Overcooked and half inch thick.

I've joked about the donut wars going on in Avon, Indiana as my life has taken me through Hendricks…read moreand Putnam counties quite a bit lately. Avon has at least four donut shops within 1-2 miles of each other - Parlor, Dunkin, Pana, and Carl's. Of these, Carl's is clearly the "local" shop. It has the look and feel of a gathering place. While the others do offer sit-down dining, especially Parlor, Carl's feels like a smalltown donut joint with its simple but pleasant decor, lower pricing, and comfortable but pleasing service. Carl's Donuts & Bakery is a locally owned donut shop (Pana is also locally owned, though a growing chain). Carl's also doubles as a cafe and also serves other breakfast items alongside its donuts. The major plus to this approach for a guy like me is that fountain drinks are available including iced tea. I'm constantly dismayed how hard it is to get iced tea in donut shops. I was dismayed to read Jen F's review noting poor customer service as my experience was quite the opposite with customer service being a key strength. The basics: Carl's is located in what looks like a small office complex with a mix of retail and personal service type businesses. It's toward the back. There's some accessible parking and appropriate curb cuts. There's a double entry with glass doors that were pretty easy to manage. As you enter, a dining area is directly to the front of you and to the right side. To the left is the ordering area - I think I goofed up at entry - you begin toward the back and then exit out the front path. I went in through the front, though there wasn't a line and no one said anything. The employees asked if I was ordering breakfast or donuts. I typically get 2-3 donuts and a drink. I stuck with this plan, however, given the comfy atmosphere opted to dine in. I haven't had much time to rest recently and it was nice to sit down. I felt a little out of place (everyone else was clearly local), though everyone was friendly. I ordered chocolate covered yeast donuts and a fountain unsweetened iced tea. They offer discounts, it seems to military, teachers, and first responders. The donuts had a slightly thicker yeast than some that lean toward fluffy. These were more substantial. The chocolate reminded me of Titus Bakery. The iced tea was great - no clue on brand. I could have stuck with two donuts instead of three and been satisfied. The service was a top feature here for me. They were friendly, helpful, and patient as I figured things out. I watched them easily serve a group of senior males gathering in one corner (pouring coffee, etc.). Carl's does not have a drive-thru. Their Facebook indicates they offer curbside pick-up. In future visits, I'd likely experiment with donuts. This particular chocolate is not a favorite for me. I enjoyed it, but I'd easily experiment. There's no doubt I'd return for the service. At a time when I've recently lost my last family member, it was nice to be in a comfortable, welcoming, and warm environment. It did my spirit good. I would also love to return to enjoy a meal here. Carl's wasn't packed, but it was steady throughout my visit and it's clear that Avon loves its donuts and it loves its smalltown gathering spaces.

There was a line of people waiting patiently to select their donuts when we walked in. There were many cases filled with fresh donuts, fritters, danish, turnovers and more. Two clerk were assisting customers, most of whom were buying several dozen donuts. I got a glazed donut and my husband got an apple fritter. The fritter was bigger than his head. My glazed donut was a cake donut. It was light with a perfect glaze. The apple fritter was like a coffee cake with lots of apples and a glazed topping. He shared the fritter with our granddaughters. There was plenty to go around. The cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have daily meal specials. The lady in line ahead of us said the pork tenderloin is the best in town. Pork tenderloin is only served Monday-Thursday. We'll have to come back. They have about 20 tables for eat-in dining. There is a unisex restroom. Stop #4 of the donut trail will require a return visit.

Rise n' Roll was founded in Middlebury, Indiana by an Amish family as an offshoot of the family's selling of donuts from the porch of their Shipshewana home. Established a Rise n' Roll in 2004, it stayed relatively small for years. The original bakery didn't use electricity, refrigeration, or modern tech. Everything was by hand. In 2009, the Amish owner sold the company to a non-Amish family. It was moved to a larger facility - the original owner stayed employed by the company and the small bakery began to expand including franchising. In recent years, the Central Indiana presence has grown. Rise n' Roll offers donuts, pastries, Amish goods, deli, and other items. While I was sad to see Rise n' Roll leave their Broad Ripple spot, truthfully I tend to resonate more with its simpler locations (there's now a smaller shop in Nora). This spot in Avon reminds me of Nora. I believe the Indiana-based chain has 16 locations statewide. I'm a definite fan of the chain and have never had a bad experience at any location in terms of product or people. I primarily stick to donuts when coming here, however, I'll occasionally deviate. While I'd say that Rise n' Roll is decked out a bit nicer than Carl's, I felt a similar vibe here. In a town that has multiple options, it's really important to distinguish yourself and Rise n' Roll does that nicely. The cinnamon caramel donut is perhaps its most widely known and beloved option, however, I'm a fan of chocolate frosted (yeast or cake). Donut offerings can vary between locations. Employees here are friendly. The strip center has accessible parking with appropriate curb cuts. The single glass door was pretty manageable. I get the sense they'd easily help if help was needed, though it's obvious that most folks with disabilities prefer independence. Overall, I'd easily claim Rise n' Roll as one of my Avon favorites. I won't dare rank the five, though a quick read of my reviews would likely make it obvious. For a more natural option in a pleasing, welcoming setting it doesn't get much better than Rise n' Roll.

However, I was feeling a bit nostalgic during this past weekend's trip to Putnam County and decided to stop and really check this retail strip out. I spied The Fudge kettle and knew I had to stop. The Fudge Kettle was started in 2020 - what a time to start a new business, eh? Despite the challenges, it thrived in a different location before locating to this spot in 2023. This is a former Jack's Donuts and it reportedly offered The Fudge Kettle about twice the size of its previous spot along with a variety of other perks. In case the name isn't obvious, The Fudge Kettle specializes in candy, fudge, local crafts, and a variety of other products. Despite being an older strip center, accessibility is pretty strong here with ample parking and curb cuts. The double-sided glass doors are pretty manageable. I found the interior to be nicely designed. I'm a fan of fudge and definitely had to try the fudge while here. Absolutely a delight. You can also get chocolates, freeze-dried candies, and some national brands like Pez, Necco Wafers, Buns, Boston Baked Beans, Rock Candy, Candy Cigarettes (Yes, I'm old enough to also remember when candy cigarettes were considered cool), and more. Local crafts include candles, keychains, t-shirts, wreaths and more. I'm a huge candle fan and I definitely prefer supporting local. So, this is a great find. I will note that new owners took over - I believe in 2023. It seems like there's some shifting going on and the website indicates that new products are coming soon. However, I liked what I saw here and the employee I dealt with was friendly and helpful. I found the prices to be fair, the quality to be amazing, and this just feels like a really welcoming spot. This shopping strip is a little more off the road than most. You really have to look to see The Fudge Kettle, however, it's definitely worth looking for and making a quick stop. Will I return? Absolutely.
