Great pizza. I hadn't been in this pizza place in a very long time for the reason that there was other places to choose. I m really glad I got reacquainted with Puzzarelli's. I found out the owners acquired this a decade ago and I noticed many changes, but most noticeable to me was the customer service friendliness and quality of product that they sell. I also observed a perfectly executed problem-solved that put the customer first and handled quickly and with success for the customer. Always meant to try this place but never had a chance. Finally made it in. The lady that placed our order and checked us out was so nice. Ordered stl and NY style pizza and it was pretty good. I wish the crust was a bit thinner on the stl pizza but still good. There was just a little taste of dough. The TRavs were delicious. Awesome great local pizza place! Lots of bang for your buck here. Fantastic NY style pizza with great cheese and excellent sauce. For something a bit different, went with the Chicago style which isnt the traditional sauce on the top style, but with a great twist of toppings in the crust. It did take a while on a busy Friday night, but no complaints about the service. Just know to call ahead early next time. Simple dining area and you can't go wrong with a place that has the old school red checkerboard tablecloths. Can't wait to try more from here! read more

Pizza was delicious. The fried mushrooms were piping hot. Dining room is warm since it is 85 degrees outside and the pizza oven was in the dining space. Not a very big finning room but most people take out anyway. Plenty of parking spaces right outside. read more

Decent food, definitely NY style. But their service is way, way too slow. Called in an order for delivery, they told me 90 minutes. Called back after two hours, turned out they hadn't even made the pizza yet. Took three hours to get it delivered and the driver still expected a tip. Mind you the shop is ten minutes from my house. The next time I decided to go with pickup, they told me 35 minutes. I got there 45 minutes after calling it in, and again they hadn't even made the pizza yet. Finally got my order an hour after calling it in. Sorry to say I'm going to have to find a different place to patronize. read more

After a long weekend at the pool, we decided to have some pizza for dinner on Labor Day. We had never had pizza from here so we decided to give it a try and I'm glad we did. We dined in and we were the only ones. There were a number of people that came in to pick up their orders. We saw three staff members and they may have been the only ones there. They were all very friendly. We ordered salad (it was very large), two pizzas, mozzarella sticks and fried pickles. It was a lot, but we wanted to bring some home for lunches. They have NY, Chicago, and STL style pizzas. The menu has a lot of pizza options, appetizers, wings, etc. Everything we ordered was good! The ONLY thing I would suggest - more pineapple on the Hawaiian pizza. I know. "Pineapple doesn't belong on a pizza." But I like it! This may have become our go-to pizza place! read more

Being raised on East Coast pizza I decided to give them a try .. the place is small and quaint and smells fantastic upon entering. A family size New York style veggie pizza is $28 bucks plus tip. But they do pizza by the slice which is incredibly rare in this region. They also feature the original Chicago thin crust and the always disappointing St. Louis style. But they have a huge menu featuring wings, salads, pasta and something called EPPIE ROLLS, which I will try on the next visit. The staff is friendly, the vibe is good. This is not your traditional St Louis pizza (with provel cheese), but a savory Chicago thin style pizza with real Italian cheeses and all fresh ingredients! They have different crust types, but 'Chicago thin' is my go-to! And if you like heavy cheese, there is no shortage on your pies! In fact, I like Pizzarelli enough I'll drive 20-30 min for pick-up, but I strongly recommend giving yourself plenty of time when ordering; it could take 30-45 min even when it's not busy. So I'd rate this 3.5+ for quality pizzas and other foods, friendly staff but service prep/logistics are an opportunity. Plus it's a very small place to dine-in, has little ambience, so better to take home in my opinion. They have X-Large is 16", Large 14", Medium 12", and small 10". 1-item XL costs under $20, so reasonable per person charge. Net, it's the pizza that counts, so I think this is one of the better pizzas in our area, so I'll keep ordering from here. Enjoy! read more

As Chicago transplants in St. Louis, this is the only pizza place we will even think of ordering from because they use real mozzarella cheese and NOT Provel. We love both the New York crust and the Chicago Thin crust. They get very busy on weekend nights, so make sure to order ahead of time. read more

We had been regulars at Pizzarelli's until a couple of years ago when the place changed ownership. It was our preferred pizza in the area. Then one day we were talking with a friend who had read our review and mentioned that as a result he tried it and took serious issue with our assessment. That was when we learned of the change of ownership, so we went back and agreed the quality of the pizza had declined significantly. Over the past two years or so we had a couple of mediocre pizzas but thought it was getting better, like they were learning. Now it has been almost a year and I wanted to try another time and update the review. We ordered Chicago thin with our usual Italian sausage with green olives. The crust was really the worst part of the pizza. It was extremely tough. I actually told Ms T that it wore me out eating it. It honestly was not as good as a frozen pizza crust. The quantity of toppings was skimpy. The sausage was tasteless, there was no hint of the fennel that we want. On the plus side, the cheese was fine, but we could not tell that they doubled it as requested and I don't think it is from the same supplier as the previous owner. Ms T liked the sauce, I found it OK, but a little heavy. The only thing I can think of before completely writing Pizzarelli's off would be to order St Louis thin crust. I apologize to anyone who had read our 2014 review and bought pizza as a result after the fall of what once was a very good pizza joint. The terrible, tough crust and tasteless sausage dominate my rating. read more

Good stuff. The Chicago style was my personal favorite, but we really liked everything. It's rare these days to find a good non-chain place.

This is by far the best pizza I've tasted. The staff is so nice and I believe they also own the place. The dough is fresh and hand tossed while you wait you can watch them toss it up. The ingredients are so fresh we had the 18 in New York style and it was huge loaded with toppings. The sausage wasn't tiny pieces it was big chunks so good. I can't believe this little gem was right under my nose and I was missing out. It is a small place but you can dine in just not big enough for a really big party. Plenty of parking and they deliver as well. The phone didn't stop ringing while I was there. And the only bad thing is that they don't open until late like 4:00 I think so no pizza for lunch. read more

This was my first time trying out their location. My cousin who lives about 35 min away recommended it. Now I am kicking myself for not trying it before. It is DELICIOUS!!! We tried the NY style, and it was so good. Loved the crust. Probably one of the most flavorful I have tried. Everything was well proportioned along with the cheese.
