Pizza Mia is totally a local fave. Their pizza is good and cheap, but it's not like your normal run-of-the-mill pizza, it has a little bit of a Hispanic twist. The crust is soft, thick, airy and doughy. They put on a very light coating of sauce, but it is spiced with crushed red pepper, which makes it awesome! They go light on the cheese and pepperoni, but it works out perfect. I recommend getting the pepperoni, but the veggie is really good too. They put tons of vegetables on it! Been coming here since I was in high school almost 10 years ago! This is a great little "hole in the wall" local spot in downtown Watsonville. I definitely don't come here very often because I'm rarely in this part of town but when I am, I like to stop in for a warm, thick slice of their signature pepperoni pizza. They've been making it the same way for years- thick, doughy crust, with a slightly spicy sauce (which I love). It's always generously portioned, and very inexpensive. This place is a far cry from the upscale, trendy spots around but I don't expect anyone to roll out the red carpet for me when I'm in here. I know what to expect, and I'm not looking for a gourmet experience. I'm just here to munch! So remember... It's not the nicest looking restaurant in town but I promise you'll love your pizza. Pizza was great, Customer service needs improvement. I ordered a 1/2 and 1/2 speciality pizza and was charged for 2 pizzas. I was not told the total when I phoned in my order. I was very surprised that out of the 10 pizza places I frequent, this is the only place that I have come across that charges per topping if you order a half and half. This pizza is just as bad as school lunch pizza. The "crust" is like 2-3 inches long and like an inch thick. It's super doughy and dry. You have to chew so much just to swallow one bite. They are super stingy with their toppings. Their pizza is unauthentic, cheap, and overpriced (for the piece of crap that is). Also, their employees are super rude and grumpy all the time. I called pizza mia and wanted to talk to the manager regarding the issue because I been a customer for years at this place and when I spoke to the manager she had really bad customer service she would cut me off and say they didn't have any COCKROACH's when indeed I opened the box cockroach's started to walk all over my pizza it was disgusting and just the fact that the manager had no customer service what so ever her reaction was just a disappoint. don't recommend this place read more

I've been coming to Pizza Mia ever since I was in high school, and nothing has changed since then. What keeps me coming back to this place over any other, is the crust that they use. Its so light and airy, really good doughy but not too heavy. Minimal on the sauce, but perfect amount of cheese and pepperoni. The only wierd part is that they don't offer cheese by the slice. You can ONLY buy slices of pepperoni, or order a cheese pizza on its own. They have a special, that if you order a Medium pizza, you get a free pepperoni if you pick it up in store. This place is my jam! I love the chewy texture of the pizza here. Pro tip: always get two slices! It's what they do around here. Don't worry, it's super affordable. Four bucks for two slices. There is plenty of seating in the back and video games for the kiddos. There are even a few long tables in case you wanted to have a full on pizza party. The room itself is dimly lit and slightly, let's say worn, but I don't mind. The pizza is fantastic and they people are usually very nice. I've never felt that it was dirty. That would be gross. No, mama Mia's is well loved. Local students should consider this another place to study. Just pop in your earbuds and work away. However, the downside is that there is no internet here. Other than that, there aren't a lot of distractions. The radio is constantly playing hence the need for earbuds. Whenever I come to Watsonville I try to get over to this pizza place. Pizzamia is one of those buildings you walk into and immidiately want to run out of. Its always dirty, the furnishings are disgusting, there are no decorations. It probably hasn't been painted since the building was originally built BUT despite that give it a chance because its a hidden treasure with the most delicious (my mouth is watering right now) Pizza you may ever have. The crust, toppings, cheese and sauce...all perfection. The pizza is so light and airy you can eat an entire pizza without even realizing it. The pepperoni is always cooked to perfection and the prices cant be beat. Unlike Cassidys, Round Table, Etc I have never had a bad experience at Pizzamia. The 4 stars is how good the pizza taste. I give two for the workers and I guess the environment it's located. The customers that come in don't seem to care that there kids just run around and even lets there own walk into the kitchen distracting the workers which take longer to make the food.
