We had the roasted jalapeño poppers (don't skip the bacon, worth the add), heirloom tomato salad (so fresh with a yummy balsamic glaze), and the "chicken boy" pizza with the gluten-free Detroit-style deep dish crust. It had smoked chicken, spicy peppers, pickled onions and house made bbq sauce. The kids had a regular crust with pepperoni (the cup pepperonis!). Everything was delicious. The server was friendly and Tim seemed like a manager/owner that really cared that things were quality. They were super knowledgeable about allergens in the food, just ask! Service was great but most important the food. Very good unique quality pizza. I have a sensitive stomach and it sat well and gave me no problems. The only thing is since I also have sensitive taste buds I wish they burnt the pizza a lot less since I can really taste the char and not the pizza as much. The customer service was terrible, and a couple of the employees were unprofessional and confrontational. They took our name when we ordered. Then delivered our food without saying anything. After we ate, an employee - maybe the manager or owner - told us we took someone else's order. He was very rude and had an attitude. It's not our fault your ordering system sucks. The sweet n' spicy habanero jelly literally melted into the stretchy, creamy, milky stracciatella. It was the definition of a Flavor Bomb. And the orange zest gave it that sumthin' sumthin'. Food was amazing . Want to start off with the positive. Had a simple mix salad and there was nothing simple about it. Mixed greens came with slices of mozzarella and some pesto sauce with chard artichokes on the side. But what made the salad was the lemon vinaigrette. Pepperoni pizza was good and flavorful. Five of us dropped in to Ozzy's for lunch a few days ago. We'd heard good things about it, so we wanted to give it a try. Turned out that the good things we'd heard were completely justified. We were greeted by a friendly waiter who led us to our table. Drink orders were quickly taken and menus delivered. There's a wide variety of pizzas, so we asked the waiter for some suggestions. Thanks to his advice, we ordered a Queen Judy (apparently named after the owner's mother), and a Meat You in Watsonville. Both pizzas were fantastic. The crust at Ozzy's is aged for nearly two days, so it cooks up crispy and delicious. The ingredients of the pizzas are fresh, flavorful and locally sourced. The result is a delicious pizza. There is a warm feel to Ozzy's that makes you feel like you're eating with family. Overall, the food is excellent, well-priced, and top quality. We recently tried Ozzy's Pizzeria and really enjoyed our food! We got it to go, which this type of dough and style is really meant to be eaten fresh out of the oven! But it was still pretty darn tasty! I enjoyed the toppings and fresh tomato sauce. The crust when it cooled and then was reheated was a bit chewy, but again, I totally expected that knowing it was sour dough/wood-fired pizza. The pizza's are shareable, but not if you have a pizza lover like my son - he ate one almost to himself. The pepperoni was a bit spicy for him, so mom ate it instead, and I was happy to oblige! I had the fresh sesame slaw salad with pepper mix and added chicken - it was quite delicious. It was probably a perfect portion size, but I wanted more because it was that tasty!
