Finally got over to Watsonville to try Ozzy's, I am very happy we did! The place has moto bike racing art all over and has actual bikes, super fun and very cool. The pizza's were unique, we had the Mrs. H we were debating the chicken piccata pizza, but my husband and I were sharing and he likes a more traditional pie. The Mrs. H was very good. Yes, yes, yes! We ordered date with a hot pig, Mrs. H, the veggie pizza, and a cheese pizza. All were so good. Date with a hot pig had a great balance of spicy and sweet. Mrs. H was also well balanced and flavorful, but we did all agree the sausage was a little too fennel-y for our taste. Did not by any means ruin the pizza, but just would prefer a little less. Cheese was great, veggie pizza was delicious. The olives were such a great touch. The crust was so well done. Wood-fired pizza located in a strip mall. They make their own sourdough crust, smoke their own chicken, make sauces in house, and they also have several items on the menu that are gluten free. We had the roasted jalapeño poppers (don't skip the bacon, worth the add), heirloom tomato salad (so fresh with a yummy balsamic glaze), and the "chicken boy" pizza with the gluten-free Detroit-style deep dish crust. It had smoked chicken, spicy peppers, pickled onions and house made bbq sauce. The kids had a regular crust with pepperoni (the cup pepperonis!). Everything was delicious. The server was friendly and Tim seemed like a manager/owner that really cared that things were quality. They were super knowledgeable about allergens in the food, just ask! We had a beer and a cider and were able to relax while we ate our tasty food. The decor is fun and there is a good amount of space for groups of all sizes. The sweet n' spicy habanero jelly literally melted into the stretchy, creamy, milky stracciatella. It was the definition of a Flavor Bomb. And the orange zest gave it that sumthin' sumthin'. However, since discovering Ozzy's my family and I have been coming here at least once a week. I've enjoyed basically every pizza that I've tried. Highly recommend trying their appetizers, I've enjoyed every single one so far! Service is always 10/10. Owner is always super welcoming and understanding of my little one. After we ate, an employee - maybe the manager or owner - told us we took someone else's order. He was very rude and had an attitude. It's not our fault your ordering system sucks. It's sad because the pizza was actually pretty good and the decor was nice, but the experience was so bad we will never go back. A message to the manager or owner: learn some tact and professionalism. Don't talk to your customers like they're your children. Mixed greens came with slices of mozzarella and some pesto sauce with chard artichokes on the side. But what made the salad was the lemon vinaigrette. Pepperoni pizza was good and flavorful.
