So far, there has not been a selection we wouldn't gladly choose again on a future visit. Someone came to the front of the store from the kitchen in the back, and she too greeted me with a very welcoming and warm smile. This fact alone makes me want to return and support this place of business. My pizzas were prepared fresh and handed to me hot out of the oven. The deserts, an assortment of 3 different kinds of cookies as well as two slices of cake, were kept separate and cold. My husband loved the pizza (he is somewhat of a connoisseur) and I enjoyed it as well. The carrot cake was a bit dense for my liking and the pistachio ricotta was decadent. My husband really enjoyed these sweet treats as a night cap! I loved the cookies. I ordered the Peanut Butter Brownie Swirl cookie, the Pistachio Chocolate Crunch cookie, and two of the Pistachio Thumbprint cookies. My personal favorite was the Pistachio Chocolate Crunch cookie. It had a great contrast in texture with the soft-baked cookie being perfectly complemented by the crunch of the pistachio pieces, and it wasn't overly sweet. I'll definitely be back to try more cookies, cakes and pastries in the future! They also carry some authentic imported Italian products, such as pomodoro sauce.

The waitress was nice. She was attentive without being bothersome, and she kept my glass filled. She gets 5 stars for her effort... but the food was another story. The spaghetti was just ok (at best). When the name of the meal is in the name of the restaurant, it should be excellent. That was not the case. When my spaghetti and meat sauce was placed in front of me, it looked pretty good. As I started to fold the sauce into the noodles, I immediately saw a small body of water swirling at the bottom of my plate. I can't think of any other Italian place where my spaghetti was served almost floating- not Buca di Beppo, not Olive Garden, not even Fazoli's. What it DID remind me of was a trip to Skyline Chili, where you expect to see the mysterious reddish-orange water at the bottom of your plate. Even after eating my full meal, there was still water left on the plate. It's like they never drained the noodles at all. The pictures do the talking for this place. I guess I should have known it wouldn't be anywhere close to "authentic Italian" when their bar decorations include a Mobil Gas sign (not very Italian), and the TV is off during the World Cup.
