If your name is Pizza Square and you sell square pizza, you better sell good pizza. This place does not. The pizza has a funky smell, funky taste, and the dough just is not good. It's basically a square shapes round pizza with a slightly thicker dough. Toppings are absolutely minimal. You are lucky to get one extremely thin pepperoni slice per piece. These guys are awesome!!! their round crust is really really top knotch!!! I really wanted to love this place. The owner is very sweet and kind! It is in an odd area, but it is not unsafe! We tried it because we got a flyer in the mail. GREAT DEAL, 9$ for a large 3-topping pizza. Very generous with the toppings. Right when I got in the car, I smelled it. It smelled like my pizza was sweating in the gym for hours. The odor was strong and terrible. The mozz sticks didn't thought. Eating it was worse, I couldn't bare more than a slice. So beware of sweaty pizza stink. read more

Located on a depressed looking section of 9 Mile in Oak Park. Easy street parking. A take out pizza place with an oversized kitchen area and a sectioned off waiting area with old chairs. The service is through a high window. The place appears dingy and old. The pizza is okay but not anything great. During my visit a local resident with severe mental issues was in the waiting area ranting random words. No one raised an eyebrow. read more

Great deal. I had received some coupons in the mail lately and decided to check this spot out. $9 for a large 3 topping and they are generous with the topping. I got bacon, hamburger, and banana peppers, all quality ingredients. The crust was the highlight. Crispy and tasty, a little bit of charring but overall really good. I have had pizza from Pizza Square twice since moving to Oak Park. I honestly forgot what my opinion was the first time so I figured they deserved a second chance. . . I am sure I would have remembered if it was dreadful. What's nice about Pizza Square is that they are open until 11 during the week. They have a lot of items on the menu including a large one topping/medium 2 topping/small three topping pizza for $5.55. Most recently I ordered a medium pineapple and mushroom pizza and a small order of cheese bread , because like a true American, I am all about the cheese bread. The pizza is pretty average and completely eatable but nothing special. I wish they did something more with the crust. The cheese bread is also pretty standard though I wish it had more flavor . If this pizza were a color it would probably be tan or maybe generic green. The storefront for Pizza Square isn't much to look at, then again, if you're picking up a pizza it doesn't really matter. I would order pizza again from Pizza Square but they wouldn't be my first choice to satiate a pizza craving. read more

Been going here for a couple months now. They have a wide selection, and the food is always hot & fresh. The delivery drivers are so kind and not in a rush like at chain places. Always arrives in less time than it says it takes. Discovered them on Grubhub, but the owner called to tell me that they were cutting ties with them and directed me to their website. I can't speak for the pizza here but their fried chicken is amazing! The chicken dinner comes with four BIG pieces of chicken, fries, breadsticks, coleslaw and ranch! Such a great deal. The staff there is very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were pleased. They do get busy but they are worth it! Ordered a steak and cheese sub minus tomato add mild pepper, asked before hand is it decent sized because I'm a big guy, delivery came absolutely no tomato nor mild pepper... They didn't appear clean. First off. I ordered an Italian sub and it was sub par as far as taste and presentation. The price $7.49 is a little high for a product that lacks taste of presentation. I also got a banana nut cake. I've got them before at other retailers and they're always moist and tasty. This cake from pizza square was very dry. In my opinion probably out of date. If you're gonna charge top dollar make sure it's good food. I wouldn't recommend it. I won't be walking in again. Too bad primos pizza didn't open till 3pm when I was in the area. read more

Just outside of my neighborhood, this place continues to be a standby when i don't feel like cooking or going out. The pizza is cheap and pretty good if you ask me. A large 4 topping pizza with butter garlic crust is $10 out the door and always ready in 15 mins. Not too shabby. I pretty much stick to the pizza, i had the steak grinder once and it was ok. If there was one complaint it would be some sparse pepperoni here and there, but for the price??....whatever. read more
