Having been a previous patron of the Detroit location, I was psyched to try this place! I know they recently opened and wanted to wait a bit before coming, but tonight was the night. I ordered online and I found the add on descriptions slightly confusing. I had to call to ask about what VAL honey is (it's "hot" honey, more on that in a minute) and instead of the normal "light, normal, extra" options, it's small or large drizzle with zero clarification about what that even looks like. They also don't specify how many slices are in each pizza size. The other issue I had is that they offer option to get text updates but I got none. Obviously, I was hungry and it estimated at least an hour which seemed like a long time considering how late it was. But, I figured it's Friday so that's probably why. I got there and it was ready, but for who knows how long? I eventually got a text long after I was home saying it was ready. Might be worth reworking this system. I got the square pizza, and it's actually cooked perfectly. Expensive to add each item but that's about the standard now. Their "hot honey" isn't super great but it's definitely spicy! I was hoping it would actually taste like honey but it really is just sriracha. Breadsticks were hard and tasted like pita chips more than anything and they don't automatically offer pizza sauce as a dipping sauce (why?) so I elected to get the garlic cream cheese. However, it was almost frozen even with the 10 min drive home. Disappointing. Overall, I don't think that I'll be back for awhile. I'm sure they have some kinks to work out and hopefully they'll do that. read more

I deliver orders from door dash here and the food always smells so good but yesterday on march 28 around 7:40pm I finally order a pizza for myself but the girl working front counter with the pink hat on took my order wrong and i specifically ask for banana peppers and she put pineapples on it so i asked if they could remake the my food and she told me no and that I could pay for another one if I like and had a attitude about it , I hate pineapples on my pizza and this whole process cause me to be late for my second job I asked for a refund and she's was reluctant to do it and didn't even give me a recipt until I asked for one customer service was very poor read more

I got the So Fresco So Clean and added chicken so to describe it is a Mexican Street Corn Pizza who I've had a version of at Vinsetta Garage (it was banging) but here they have a Tajin Lime Crust (which sent it to tha moon). They also have ice cream bars my husband and I both tried one him strawberry lemonade me forgot name but it was green and black representing mint. The mint flavor was light and I can appreciate that. A wonderful addition to the 9 mile oak park corridor. I am pleased as punch that pie Sci has opened! Frequented their Woodbridge location almost weekly when I lived in southwest. The oak park location is carry out only, and no brunch specials, but other than that the formula hasn't changed. There's a massive mural on one side of the building and it's RED. Which I'm stoked about! I can get a very vegan pie of my choosing for around 20$. My spring recommendation is the jimmy pesto, vegan, square, double cut (omg that herb drizzle). They change their offerings seasonally, but you can also sub toppings or build your own to make exactly what you want. Staff is chill. As someone who is a big fan of the Detroit location, I was overjoyed to see Pie Sci open up their 2nd location in Oak Park (near Ferndale) The staff are hella friendly and wait to add the final ingredients until you arrive so the pizza doesn't get soggy. If you have any dietary restrictions/preferences, like being gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan, they always have alternatives available that are just as tasty (dare I say even more tasty!) then the original recipe. We have been told that their dough and meat alternatives are homemade, they have round and Detroit style square, the crust is always perfect and the other elements of the pizza are so unique and delicious, you can't go wrong no matter how you customize it. The menu also changes seasonally (with hilarious names for each pie) which means you can go literally weekly and never get bored. For some reason, I found the online ordering a little difficult. So with my first added frustration, I just called. When I did get there, I waited, and the gentleman at the front looked a little confused with all the people there forgot I was there for a few minutes and said your pizzas ready. But unfortunately, they forgot to put the salsa Verde on my pizza so the pizza was a little bland and for calling it, El Pastor, they needed to put some of that on the pizza. If there was one little bite on each slice of pork, that was a a lot. I'm sure they'll get the wrinkles out of the business. I hope they do it soon. read more
