    Pepperoni Pizza Slice
    DeMario M.

The pizza shop is located inside the bowling alley on Woodward. The location is really dope. When I looked at the menu, I was happy to see all of the options-pizzas, calzones, and salads. I tried the pepperoni pizza. Since I was trying a new restaurant, I only wanted to try like the most basic options today. The pizza was phenomenal. I also like that they had the seasonings available on the side so I added extra cheese, crushed peppers, and oregano. The pizza was already ready and sitting in the warmer, but it tasted really fresh. I would definitely go back to try more options and to bowl!!!

Sgt Pepperoni's hits the spot after a show at the Magic Stick or any events in Midtown. There are slices at the counter, or you may order off the menu. You get a hefty slice for the price. Don't be deterred by a long line, it moves quickly.

The cheesiest, greasiest slice. Hot out of the oven and delicious. Also, try the COOKIES. We had an almond joy one today and it was full of coconut and chocolate, perfectly crispy around the edges and chewy inside.

This place is the late-night warrior! Nothing like a huge hot slice of pepperoni pizza after watching a show at the majestic or a game at Garden Bowl! It's a small place and can be easy to miss, you can access it through majestic cafe. It's not the greatest pizza in the city, but it's yummy, hot, and they're open late!

Good pizza is hard to find. However that isn't the issue here. It's a small operation in the front of the bowling alley. They sale slices but ironically if you buy a whole pie the slices aren't as thick. If you dont wanna keep going back to the box every 3 bites ask them to slice it how you prefer. The cookies aren't always available because of how delicious they are. It's always a toffee cookie but it's not always there. Especially if me and my cousins beat you there.

Fluffy bread and a pleasant crust, this pizza parlor introduced me to some of the better pizzas during my stay. I got the Meat Lovers and the Big Mack to try. The Meat Lovers is what you expect, just a good amount of meat to pair with the large amount of dough and cheese. It's a bit oily and heavy, so the Big Mack was actually my favorite due to the lighter nature and the accurate taste compraison to an actual Big Mac. Beer was also great. I've been getting into beer lately and wanted to try some Michigan-brewed beer and the options as well as the taste did not disappoint. Service was good. I let them know that I wasn't from Michigan and it was my first week there and they gave me a good run-down of the menu. Their recommendations were solid and they leave us unattended for too long. I wish there was a bit more table space at the communal tables, but there's only so much you can do with the size of the restaurant.

For a starter, the cashew Caesar salad ($8) was ordered. It came with mixed greens, house-made cashew Caesar dressing, fried shallots, and vegan parmesan. This was very tasty. It was unique with the fried shallot addition. The dressing was just enough. It all appeared very fresh and crisp. The cheese had somewhat of an odd texture, but not a big deal. For a meal, the lobster roll pizza ($45) was ordered. This was so unique that it had to be tried. It came with 6 oz. wild caught lobster, herb crème fraiche, celery and onion brunoise, Cape Cod chips, and chives with drawn butter and lemon. This was very rich, so the addition of the lemon juice and crunchy chips really helped offset that. It was also heavy due to the components incorporated. The lobster appeared fresh and there was plenty of it. The butter was not even needed, but solid for a slight dip. The crème fraiche was solid and different. The crust was crispy and great too. Will I go back? I would, yeah.

Felt homie which we loved. Small parking lot as well. We arrived about 20 mins after opening. This place can get busy /packed fast but is worth the wait! We read and watched…read morereviews from a bunch of places and decided to see what the excitement was about Michigan & Trumbull. We researched the menu and decided to order ahead so that we could maximize our travel time. We arrived, and there was a small parking lot which was great since we had my elderly mother with us. I think there may have been additional parking across the street. We noticed there were picnic tables outside where people were eating pizza and upon walking in to pick up our pizza, we saw some limited indoor seating. We went to sit in a booth and were abruptly told that seating is not for "carry out customers," but we were welcome to sit outside. Ok? Their website said nothing about there being any seating, and after traveling four hours, we would have enjoyed some drinks and maybe some side dishes in addition to our pizza if the employees weren't so rude. They didn't even ask if we'd like to order something additional. So, we went outside to eat. The pizza was good, but honestly, nothing special. We ALWAYS order a cheese pizza so we can truly compare it to other pizzas. We ordered extra mozzarella on our cheese, and I'm unsure of how much cheese they normally put on a cheese pizza, but the extra cheese was no more than the other pizzas we ordered. We also ordered a pepperoni which had to the good little pepperonis that curl up. Yum! In addition we ordered a specialty pizza called "The Long Drive Home." It had vodka sauce, sausage and banana peppers. This was a crowd favorite. The sausage has incredible flavor and combines really well with the peppers and vodka sauce. I personally love vodka sauce. This one wasn't creamy like you find on pasta, but was good. Finally we did a white pizza with all cheese, ricotta and black pepper. It was also good. The garlic aioli could have a little more flavor. Not sure if there wasn't enough to taste it or if it just needs more seasoning. So, overall, the pizza is nothing special and I would recommend going for the special toppings before worrying about the extra cheese. The ambiance of the restaurant is that of many city restaurants--small, loud, nothing fancy. The picnic tables were fine. Thankfully it was not too hot and we were able to enjoy our time.

The brewery splits their offerings between Jolly Pumpkin sours and North Peak Brewing Company's variety of styles. My husband ordered a Jolly Pumpkin pint right away. I liked one of the samples. Jason, the manager, helped me make my final selection. I don't typically drink sours, but these weren't the kind that make you pucker. They were subtle. Definitely my kind of sours. Jason shared stories about the brewery's history and owner. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the place really came through.
