Peach sweet tea
Julia M.

Glad I stopped in, just open. I ordered a make your own, so of course it was delicious. Fast casual thin crust pizza, made to order. The sweet tea is a MUST I ordered peach-the BEST made daily I was told, even had real chunks of peaches in it.

My friends were visiting from out of town and they really wanted some good pizza. Jet's is my go to but wanted to take my friends out. Grandma Bob's was sooo delicious! We ordered three pizzas which was good for a party of 5. We ordered the supreme, mushroom, and sausage + pistachio. The sausage + pistachio was so unique and my favorite pizza. All the pizzas were so delicious. Buttery crust, crispy cheese, and oh so good toppings. Communal style seating which allows more people to squeeze in side and fill their bellies too. Parking located in back which is pay by the hour.

Holy **** it was incredible and I think about that pizza all the time. Thick, crispy yet pillowy crust with a slab of true melty cheese (not plastic or starchy, real savory and stringy goodness) with seasoned herbaceous vegan sausage and greasy, crispy vegan pepperonis almost turning into cups on the top. I'm about to cry thinking about it, I'm going nuts right now thinking about it! I traveled all over the east coast eating vegan food prior to stopping in Detroit.......it was the BEST meal of the whole trip, hands down. Thank you Grandma Bob's! cannot wait to eat here again.

We were nicely greeted and sat at the bar. We checked out…read morethe cocktail menu and knew that this was the right voice for dinner. We ordered the Last Sunrise in Tuscany and the 59 Barrera and Son. Both were absolutely delicious. We watched the bartender make the Last Sunrise in Tuscany and we had to ask about it. They make this with a house made syrup which isn't too far fetched for this restaurant. They try to make everything from scratch and it really shows in their offering. We were so hungry we had to order a couple things to share. But before we ordered we asked the bartenders (absolutely amazing) about what to order. Now when I say they gave the most elaborate explanation I could almost taste these dishes she was explaining them so well. She knows food and she knows good food. So we went with her recommendations based on what we were going for. We ordered the Duck, the Ravioli and the Rigatoni. When I'm telling you everything was perfect, it was PEFECT! The cook on everything, the favors that danced in my mouth. The filling of it all. I cannot wait to come back to try the rest of this menu. As dinner was winding down, I asked Kennedy to choose my last cocktail. She presented me with the most delightful white sangria and I was wowed by the flavor and lightness of it all. We then ordered a few lattes to go and we were talking about that dinner and restaurant for the rest of the week. Shea and Kennedy were absolutely amazing!

The bacon scone was absolutely outstanding, however you have to ask for butter for this, which is a must, but that was the only thing for a $325 brunch bill for 4 people. The entrees were cold when we received them, and one took so long to get that it was actually comped by the restaurant. The steak and egg benny was okay. The egg was overcooked and only jammy and not runny, and the croissant which had the steak on it was super oily and gross. There is a reason why a biscuit or english muffin is used in this dish, so whoever decided a croissant was a good idea is not smart, or eating the current weekend chef's food. The potato frites super greasy and oily as well as cold. Draining them on a paper towel would have been clutch. We had other entrees that no one finished because of the quality and taste of the food. It would have been helpful if the kitchen staff put the food under a salamander or heat light. If they have one of these, it certainly wasn't working that day in proper order. This is not a place I would ever go to brunch again. Maybe I would try dinner have one of their cheaper dinners as the $34 benny was overpriced and underperforming. I am giving this place three stars rather than one because the service was great unlike the food.

The brewery splits their offerings between Jolly Pumpkin sours and North Peak Brewing Company's variety of styles. My husband ordered a Jolly Pumpkin pint right away. I wanted to try a flight but needed time to choose. Our bartender Lenice gave me all the time I needed. When a couple of my picks weren't available, she brought me samples of other beers to try. I liked one of the samples. Jason, the manager, helped me make my final selection. I don't typically drink sours, but these weren't the kind that make you pucker. They were subtle. Definitely my kind of sours. Jason shared stories about the brewery's history and owner. His knowledge and enthusiasm for the place really came through. Lenice stopped by a few times to check if we needed anything. Both Lenice and Jason made this visit memorable. Lenice kept the energy light and friendly. Jason's passion for his work and the brewery added depth to the experience. If you're in the area and want good beer with even better service, stop by Jolly Pumpkin Brewery.

I wouldn't sit here for hours on end because the seats aren't particuly cozy, but the vibe is totally welcoming and the people that work there have always been very friendly and nice. I've been able to get good recommendations for drinks when I can't quite choose. I think the beer selection is always varied. I like a sour, farmhouse, saison, etc and the options are always pretty good. If in the area, I would not hesitate to bring a friend or visitor.

We had a reservation and waited about 15 min to be seated which is very normal at a this kind of restaurants for a large group. The drinks came in first, I got a Cabernet and there were some good mojitos as well. We ordered the bread service and it was amazing. The whipped butter with olive oil makes the bread so soft and delicious. For food I ordered the shot ribs with mashed potatoes and it was really really good. It is an earthy dish with mashed potatoes and fried zucchini noodles. It is a very good dish but I felt like I was missing a fresher side, maybe asparagus or broccolini. Overall really good food and service. Some of my friends ordered the pizza which was really well balanced and cooked nicely, the pastas were also delicious. I will always recommend ottava via to anyone asking for a good place to eat in corktown

Make reservations. Cool looking building. Front bar is cool and the 2 back rooms as well. Brick and pictures and glass doors. Very cool. Server was nice but warned us they were busy and the kitchen was backed up. Sri is order took 25 mins. We ordered to get the food in. Food took 30 mins. Overall we were there like 2 hours. Ordered the burratta capreze and the bolognese. We also got the mixed olives for the table. The burratta capreze was fantastic! Heirloom tomatoes, grape tomatoes, burratta, balsamic glaze, fresh basil. It was amazing no lie. The bolognese was much better than I thought. Tbh most bolognese is not very good. This was. The thick noodles were good combination. It's a good portion. Couldn't finish it. It was tender with lots of meat. Very good. The ricotta on top made it very rich in flavor. Next time I would leave it off. A little too rich for me. Server was OK. It was a challenge especially with the kitchen not being fast. Very good overall experience. I'd go back and try something else.
