Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The older male and the other server ignored us as we walked around looking for a table. There was no sign stating anything about waiting to be seated and people picking up orders were walking right in. We found a table that would accommodate the rest of our party that had not arrived yet. The older server came over and said that we should have waited to be seated and that "it's the norm everywhere" in a rude tone. We pointed out that it wasn't posted and he dropped it, gave us menus and stomped off. As our party arrived we told them to wait at the door and he flipped out and screamed to "get the f out". Recommended by our Airbnb host at Eagle Point after a long day of hike in Crater Lake. Friendly staff, good selection of beers and their pizzas are awesome! We had medium size half and half of Rusted Pie and Foo Foo and they are like half the price of pizza in SF Bay Area yet with gourmet quality. I write this review with some hesitation. While options for dining out are extremely limited in Eagle Point, I feel the staff/management knows that and takes it to full advantage. First I must mention that this evenings experience was not with out kind affirmation from the staff. Asking often if we were ok and apologizing for the wait. We arrived to a SMALL crowd maybe 6 tables (not including our own of 4 adults and 2 kiddos). Part of our party was told (after a 10 minute wait by 2 of our guests) we were told that any orders (food or drink) would not be taken until the whole party was here. That's when 2 more (myself and my son) arrived. Our drink order was taken... a short while later our drinks arrived. When our last 2 of the party showed up, we immediately placed our order, where we were told it would be an HOUR or MORE wait.... ummm what?? Our server explained to us they weren't "prepared" for a busy night, and they had several To-Go orders. We witnessed more than 2 groups ( 1 a party of 4 and the other a party of 2) walk away because of the lengthy wait times they were given. I've worked in the food/ service industry for years. I know 'rough' shifts/nights happen. Unfortunately this is and has been a CONSTANT for Pizza Schmizza of Eagle Point. I know the term 'good help is hard to find' is a true statement these days. What staff is working is always very nice and helpful. Unfortunately though, they are filled with never ending excuses and apologies. I'd recommend QUALITY over quantity when hiring. Close sections during short staffed shifts. Make the bar an appetizer only area. Have one full bartender making drinks and a cocktail waitress, who helps other areas when slow. Have at least ONE manager on duty, always. Just try something different than what is being done now. I guess that's my 2 cents. read more

This is the first time I've been here as I'm traveling through the area. The pizza here is among the best I've ever had. The crust was the perfect amount of chewy and crispy and has a garlic-saltiness to it. The sauce is slightly spicy and has good flavor with the seasoning they use. I had pepperoni, Canadian bacon and linguicia for toppings. Good selection of beers on tap. I ordered the Boneyard RPM IPA and it was perfect. I've ordered food for takeout twice and can't wait to eat at the place! Both takeout orders were completed on time, they checked to make sure it was the right order with me. The Pasta dishes were very good and we both liked the crispy French Fries! On the second takeout I tried the Creole Pizza, not very spicy but I enjoyed it still. We can't wait to eat at the restaurant as not all the items online are shown that are available. We got the Fried Brussels Sprouts in olive oil with tomatoes & Parmesan cheese also on the 2nd takeout and really liked them, it was a small fight to see who would get the last one! lol read more

Came in on Monday night @5:30 only 4 total groups all were 3 or less in the party, we came in said it would be a few before we could sit down mgr or guy with mustache dark hair think it was mgr said it would be 45 min down to 2 cooks (again no one in there ) waiter came over took our order acted like he wAs so busy a family came in said it would at least 10 min before he could seat them and another 20 min before he could take their order and 45 for food. They said ahh we can wait and asked if they could sit at table he said no wait for me., I will seat you when I can, mind you they had 3 little kids! They gave up and left. Still dead as hell! 2 other people came in same drill they all said forget it. Crazy as we left Maybe 6 tables were there! One couple had drinks which they got themselves and finally left had no service. They lost a lot of business in that hour!! Also AC wasn't working and it was hot as hell with fly's!! Food was ok! Won't be back to eat there that's for sure! Just crazy we saw at least 5 people working and couldn't service those people! I really wanted to rate this place higher. EP does not have many 'hang-out' places to unwind and enjoy a beer and some food. Went with my wife and bro-in-law last Sunday. Got there just before a party of about 14 ladies came in. I asked for 3 samples of beer as my favorite - Toasted Coconut Chocolate Porter was not on tap any longer. Our gal got busy with the party and forgot my samples. Had to flag down another waiter. Oh well, ordered a pizza smothered in tomatoes for which we agreed to pay extra. And I ordered a salad. The party swamped the kitchen, and had to wait for our order. The waitress apologized for the delay and gave us a coupon for a free appetizer. That was nice, but when the food arrived, no salad and just one ring of tomatoes around the perimeter of the pizza. The cook made the delivery of the pizza - so we asked if we could get our tomatoes on a side plate. But no, he took the whole pizza back (which made us nervous) and added 6 more slices of tomato, for which we were charged $1.75. 6 slices, really? Now I really want this business to be a success and for it to be a fun local spot to come to and relax. A place to dance would put this little hole in the wall on the map. There's not many places in Eagle Point where young adults could spend some time (until 10 pm) then adults (over 21) after 10pm. There's ka raoke and if only they had a dance floor would they be unstoppable in this area. A small town like eagle point, needs a great place to hang out and unwind for all ages. The service here is completely horrendous. The menu items are never served with consistency and the quality always varies. How do the owners not enforce consistency? Every visit I get the philly steak sub and the steak over the last month flat out sucks and isn't what I've gotten in the past. Always new faces and long wait times.... the new fries are gross too. Surprised by the one star reviews. My family and I have eaten here 3 times now. I'm not an Abby's pizza fan and am always searching for a better local pie. I thought Schmizza's pizza was pretty good. Their pub fries were good. My daughter likes the spaghetti. Good selection of beers on tap. The first two visits the service was slow but I gave them a pass. Yes, a Pizza Schmizza in Eagle Point, wow! At this point, I would have to say it is exactly that, not a relocated Portland Pizza Schmizza. I had a bizarre encounter there with, hmm, uneven service. The worst, I was told, that no, appetizers are not usually served before the rest of the order, they made an error on one pizza so it came out much later and we were handed a used to go box to take our pizza home in and told we were "so picky," when we asked for a clean one. He may have been kidding, but at that point, it wasn't funny - so Eagle Point! The good - great service from our waitress and the kitchen manager with apologies and a fantastic gluten-free, dairy free pizza. The other pizzas were a bit better than the rest of the valley's offerings. I really hope they can get it together, training may be in order, before everyone just writes them off. read more

I have give this place a try on numerous occasions. From the price of the food to customer service to the taste it is horrendous. The customer service at best is average. About the only thing they can get right is a fact make poor a cold beer. The main thing was their food is always undercooked. Last time we were there we ordered a meatball sandwich and a grinder. Ever since I moved here I have been obsessed with and loved Pizza Schmizza so so much! My family and I eat there occasionally and have always had a good experience. From what I understand it has new ownership..... about two months ago I called in a couple Pizzas, it was a Friday or Saturday night so obviously busy. 45 minute wait. No problem, I've worked in an authentic Italian restaurant where we also did pizza and calzones like a regular pizza place. I currently manage a local fast food restaurant. I completely understand a busy and short staffed setting. I went to pick up right at the 45 minute mark, I only live a minute or two away. I get there, realize I left my card at home but we end up manually entering it through the machine, I get my receipt and I tip. Well I end up waiting another 20 minutes in the store waiting for my pizza, people rushing past me and no one looking me in the eye, including the "manager". Other people paying and getting their food. I start trying to get someones attention, finally the hostess who cashed me out goes into the back and checks my pizza, after another 25 minutes I had to step in front of her and ask if my pizza was going to be cold and that's when she tells me they NEVER even made my pizza and she would get the manager. Eventually she came back and said she would refund me with cash, She shorted me $3.00 because she didn't have it in her bag. And that didn't include the tip either. Then she told me they wouldn't make me pizza at all(even as a paying customer after wasting an hour and a half of my time) because they were just too busy. I was never rude or raised my voice. I left in tears and went to Walmart and bought frozen pizzas to feed my family because they had already been waiting an hour and a half. I will probably never go there again which makes me sad because it's the only Pizza Schmizza close....... read more

Just moved to white city from southern California a couple days ago. Last night, we decided to check this place out (based on a recommendation) and I really enjoyed it. Our waitress was sweet and attentive and the manager (dude with the Mohawk) was super cool, socialized with us and was overall very attentive to us as well, and totally on top of our drinks;) the rocker vibe decor is pretty cool and the pizza was great. My fiance and I just ate here at the new location next to Rays. We were a bit discouraged by all the negative reviews but decided we wanted to give it a shot anyways. We were not disappointed, and we had NONE of the problems the other reviewers experienced. Our pizza (chicken bacon ranch) could not have been cooked more perfectly and we had no problems with service. In fact the owner came by to ask us if we were enjoying our meals and came to find out there had been a change in management about a year ago (after most of the negative reviews). The prices are a tad steep but not unfair. We both plan on returning here if we're in the mood for a premium pizza here in Eagle Point. read more

If Eagle Point had another pizza place, this pizza place would go out of business. Usually I love any pizza I'm lucky enough to get. But this one was awful. The sauce was strewn about in some places, not at all in others, and huge globs in other places. I've never seen such a thing. We created our own large pizza. Which is more expensive and included linguica, but literally only had 5 flecks of it on the whole pie. Besides the fact that this large pizza was the size of a medium compared to some great pizza places I've been to in Medford. The cheese was basically nonexistent. It was no better than ordering Papa John's which doesnt use mozzarella at all. They use provolone and hope you don't read that on their menu. The parmesan cheese in the shaker on the table was old. So I had to order some in a bowl. It's a podunk place with your flatware stuffed in a Mason jar with some paper napkins yet the price suggests something better. It's not. Dont waste your money. If you want podunk, go to Angelos in Medford and dont be too lazy to drive there. At least the pizza is loaded with cheese and toppings that you pay for. It's also nostalgic pizzarilla style and just as dirty as Pizza Schmizza. Also had a huge TV screen and fun for the kids. read more

We've been 3 times since they opened and each time the pizza has been good. The service on the other hand has been miserable. it appears the employees lack training and knowledge of the products they offer. We witnessed a waitress in a spat with a bartender. It was difficult for me to watch without suggesting they take it somewhere else besides the middle of the restaurant. I think we'll wait a while and see if their service problems are addressed before going back. Pizza is always good, staff friendly. This is a great place to bring your kids. However, make sure you bring your children in early. The bar is open to the rest of the restaurant and I myself, don't like the children seeing people drinking and getting drunk or hearing the language that comes out of a drunks mouth.
