My husband and I went there last night for dinner around 5pm. Upon arriving a very helpful cashier, but the rest of our visit was very disappointing. No chicken ready to eat, no lettuce on the salad bar. Only garlic cheese pizza to eat on the pizza bar, We will not go there again, the place was not crowded, you would think they would have food available to eat, after paying $25.00 for the both of us, and leaving still hungry. Take the kids or grand kids here, they will love it; then next weekend take yourself someplace else. Definitely a family place, lots of pizza, plenty of pop, even fried chicken and of course, desert pizza. Some Really Bad Snobbish Reviews here. First of all as far as staff this town is a corporate educated economy and teen hard working staff may have a bit trouble keeping place totally clean as the food is great here and despite these negative reviews this place is popular and often packed. The expectations and bubble of some of these reviewers expecting every restaurant to be Randolph Street downtown Chicago us a joke. If you are that Puzza,Ranch is not for you. However if you want a great buffet for family and this is still Central Illinois then this cool large eatery is for you. The chicken is sumptuous and all the wide variety of pizzas are great. Again the negative reviews are likely made by yuppies transplants from Chicago who can't deal with income diversity folks that come here and oary of region and the prices of this place are reasonable. My friend and I went there to try the new place in town. I arrived at 4:45 on a Friday night. There was a line to the door. Wait was not that bad, perhaps about 15 min. We paid and got the cups for the drink. Seated and got up to get our drink and started with the food. It is not what I expected. There is small salad bar, a pizza selections, then some fried chicken with some fixing. Also there is a dessert pizza bar and an ice cream machine. It is $11.49 plus tax for each person unless you are 65 or older, then you get a discount for being senior citizen. I came home and was in the restroom for an hour. Will not go there again. I didn't think it was that bad, but didn't think it was great either. As many others have said, the chickens pretty good. I'm bit on salads and I thought the salad bar was pretty lame. For the selection of food offered vs the price, there are better deals in town. I ate there twice and both times the fried chicken was overcooked. Pizza was okay. No wait at 7:00 when we arrived. Indicated to cashier/hostess this was our first visit and she offered no advice, in fact, seemed disinterested. Salad bar was basic iceberg or another wilted option which looked as though someone threw up salsa on it. Not bad choices for salad toppings, no blue cheese dressing and lots of imitation bacon bits. No fruit options,unless canned. Moving on to main course you can choose pizza or chicken bars. The pizza barely passes as a thin crust, really flavorless but crisp. They tout using 100% real cheese and if they did it was sparse. The breadsticks were probably the best thing on that bar. The chicken bar contained around KFC quality chicken but maybe not quite as greasy. Bbq sauce was tasty, spicy and tangy. Sides were lackluster and gravy seemed like watered down cream of chicken soup over instant potatoes. Potato chip were good could have benefitted from some more seasoning. For dessert stick to the cactus bread and your cinnamon palette will appreciate you. Finish with soft serve to cleanse your palette before you leave so you can forget your unmemorable dinner. I was visiting family over the holiday and we came here for lunch. Busy busy busy. The staff does not mind you moving tables around to accommodate.The flow of the place is awful and people are constantly walking around you, dont go here for a quiet relaxing meal it's not that type of restaurant. I will say if you have kids and are too hungry to wait for a typical sit and order then this place will be a blessing for you. It's pretty much a help yourself type of place and I did not have much interaction with the staff, besides when you pay upon entering. The pizza buffet had a good variety with alot of interesting types of pizza. The pizza was refilled often so you did not have to wait long for fresh pizza. The fried chicken was the best part. Not sure why it's at a pizza buffet but whatever, it was fantastic. The dessert bar was sooo good. There was a strawberry pizza and a cactus something that was so good and fresh. The soft served ice cream tasted like mcdonalds soft serve and was delightful. The place was clean and fed me, the pizza was what you would expect from a buffet, nothing special. Can't really say enough good things about our regular takeout and delivery pizza and chicken favorite. We usually order the family pizza and chicken combo with the awesome cactus bread and we have never been disappointed in the quality and quantity of food delivered. Last night we ordered our usual and it arrived in less time than expected but unfortunately we did not receive the Cactus Bread. As I was calling the restaurant, they were calling me to apologize and said the driver would be right back. No problem for us as we had just started our dinner. We were very pleasantly surprised when the driver arrived with not only our Cactus bread, but also an additional order of the yummy dessert pizza and another medium pizza for the inconvenience! We were shocked and I double checked with the driver and he said the manager, Floyd, threw in a few extras for our weekend. Who does that? The very nice Floyd from Pizza Ranch, that's who! It's not just about the great fresh food delivered right to you, it's also about the people who make the effort to go above and beyond to keep their customers happy and coming back. Floyd has been the manager since this location opened and it's nice to see a place where people are lead by a manager that treats the restaurant like he's the owner and it shows in the quality of the service he and his staff deliver. I went to Pizza Ranch last night with a group of friends. The food was okay but the service was...not so much. One particular worker, who I know from my school, Sara, was delivering a pizza to the table next to us. Our table was, and had been, completely out of napkins so I tried to flag her down to ask for more. She looked at me and my table and just ignored us. Okay. But then the balloon-making guy who was at our table (he was there for a fundraiser that night) tried to get her attention as well (he was really nice actually, great balloon-service, though that has nothing to do with Pizza Ranch) and went to far as to actually walk up and tap on her shoulder, yet Sara still just walked away and did not help us. Eventually one of the Habitat for Humanity volunteers ended up bringing napkins by rather than an actual employee. All around, could have been better. read more

Just let them know how you want your pizza and they will bring it to your table hot and fresh for you. I've ordered a vegan style pizza and it was wonderful! Yes, a pizza without cheese or meat and it was so good! They have a gluten free crust that is delicious! Macaroni and Cheese pizza..yes please! Tuscan Roma Pizza is fantastic! My favorite dessert pizza is the blueberry! Don't forget the soft serve ice cream! The salad bar is always fresh and love their coffee. The buffet price is great and it includes the drink.
