We rolled in on Sunday evening looking to grab dinner and drinks. The place was busy but lots of seating so we didn't have to wait too long. We ordered pizzas and knew it would take time so we ordered drinks and played a game corn hole that was set up on the lawn. The location on the water is perfect- provides a great view! We also sampled their seasonal summer Bruschetta and it was delicious- definitely something I would order again. We love the taco pizza!! We had a great experience with staff, ambience and food. This place does get really busy especially at prime meal times. I would suggest coming at an alternative time and ordering quickly especially if you are hungry. There is seating for large groups but also be aware large groups don't move quickly so they will take up space longer. I reside near the North branch Pizza pub. The service is great. The food is always good. However, last night we went to the Forest Lake location, which is a renovated and located on the far side of the lake. What happened? *food quality plummeted. *The technology was never upgraded to cover the entire restaurant *we were seated in a booth that should've been torn out and replaced because a normal person would not sit in it chair with no back. Now this all might sound trivial, but life is no longer inexpensive. $100 with only one beer served at the table. However, I just don't know. The last thing I will list ,I have never experienced before. the drinking water they serve taste like fish oil? That can't possibly be city water. The location has the ambience to be a crown jewel. This is why my reaction is a maybe. Go see for yourself tell me if I'm wrong. read more

They really need to learn how to make a decent pizza. The first time we when we had a regular thin crust pizza and was very very bad so we went back and got a pan pizza which tasted like bad Bisquick and the sauce was equally as bad. Being from Chicago, I am well educated enough to know what a decent pizza taste like and I know a lot of people in Minnesota which I call land of the bland just don't get a good pizza. t Thus we will never go back maybe for the beer because that's the only thing good there and it's cold. read more

After a horrible experience after they first opened we decided to give it another shot today. Walked in and stood behind a woman as she spoke to the hostess. She said they were a party of 8. The hostess immediately said in a rude tone ITS AT LEAST 45-1 hour for seating and IM NOT MOVING TABLES and pizzas are an hour. It was as if this woman was inconviencing her by bringing 8 patrons to the restaurant. (There were several empty tables). We looked at each other and walked out choosing a nearby restaurant. The food is amazing here! 10/10 for that. The service could be better, we hardly saw our server and had to ask other servers for refills and such. And the whole place was kinda dirty, the floors looked unswept there was glass under a baby's highchair and no one took out dirty dishes or menus at all during the time we were there. read more

Tonight I put in an order over the phone. We get there at 40 minutes they told me it would be 30 minutes. The blonde and red head host were talking in the little cubby area when I walked in. I waited about 5 minutes and another girl asked if I had been helped I said no. She went to the cubby area and said yall need to stop talking and get to the host stand. They took payment and said I'll go grab the food. 15 minutes later they come out with the food said they weren't quite done but when I felt the food it was cold. I get it don't really care if the food was cold my issue is the mediocre staff who were too busy chatting than helping the guests. Poor guest experience. Won't be back for a long time if I do come back. Very disappointing read more

I'll echo some of the other sentiments about this place. We came in the late afternoon in time for happy hour to be in effect. While we ordered happy hour drinks, we weren't charged the happy hour price. The bill was further padded by a 3% admin fee. I hate it when restaurants have these obligatory fees. To add insult to injury, the service was ridiculously slow. The restaurant had just a few patrons and it took close to an hour to get our pizza. We did enjoy the pizza and the sports bar vibe, but we may just call for takeout next time. The long wait, bill mistakes, and admin fee added to the bill might be deal breakers. read more

Had a simple Nacho's BAD! Hardly any Cheese which they had to NUC some in the microwave and give us. Not good! Hell they have a pizza oven and fresh cheese pretty simple and quick to make. Very poor had to ask for plates and silverware. We go here for pizza on a normal bases and no problem but now needs improvement. read more

I am glad Pizza Pub decided to expand to Forest Lake, this is a great addition, and I hope it sticks around for a long time. The building is beautiful, the parking lot is spacious, and both the dining room and bar are very comfortable. The TVs in the bar are very inviting to watch a Twins game and chill for a bit too. The cheese bread was outstanding, some of the best I have had in a long time, and the pizza tasted just like the pizza I had at the location in North Branch, so that worked well for us. The server was friendly, but unfortunately not around much so our drinks sat empty for long periods of time. Hopefully, the service was just a fluke because we loved this place. read more

First stop. Any lake worth its salt has dining and drinks on the water. Finally made it into the recently opened Pizza Pube in (and on) Forest Lake. This is add to local chain. Parking lot seems consistently packed, a good sign. Staff friendly and attentive, which is hard to expect these days. Great beer selection and plenty of TVs for the games. But, if you are slinging Walleye Pizza, you best have Grain Belt Premium on tap!! Pizza was great, we had a 12" on traditional crust (thinner, perfect) and it was more than enough for 2. The Italian Sausage and house pizza sauce were both fantastic. Stoked to be a regular here. read more

The food was good! I can say we all had good sandwiches and the pizza has been good as well when I've come here previously . I was not impressed with the service while we were starting the meal and waiting to pay. I was never asked for a refill, and when I received the check, I waited over 15 minutes. The catch is there were only a few people in the restaurant and the server was two tables away talking about life with them and ignoring her other customers. I finally got up to go pay at the bar and she noticed and came over and apologized for not coming sooner. The atmosphere is great and you get a great view of the lake while eating! read more

My family and I went to Pizza Pub for Mother's day. I had never been there and my brother and sister in law suggested eating here. It was an awful experience. We were a party of eight..not that large. We waited for an hour for our food. My brother's and niece's pizza was cold as well was my dad's fries. My dad had to go to the bar for water for my niece. We came as a group of 30. No reservation, but I did call about 15 minutes ahead to give warning. 5pm on a Friday. It was busy inside, outside and at the dock. They were incredibly accommodating - no problem with separate checks. Food was good, service was good, it was clean. We left very pleased. We will be back! read more

Waitress tried to be attentive. Took the kitchen 45 minutes to get our food out. It was not busy (first clue) and we watched several other tables that arrived 10-20 minutes after us get served. We only had a table of two and watched the waitress type the request into the computer leading me to believe the kitchen staff are mediocre at best. My chicken Parmesan was terribly dry with little to no sauce and the cheese was burned from the broiler. Not sure what they ate doin back there....not recommended. While we did have a large group, we had two kids that received their orders 25 minutes apart. Our waitress was sweet and comped part of the meal. I went to the bar to get drinks and a menu. The bartender said he would send a server over. We waited 15 minutes and no one came over. I ended up ordering pizza at the bar. We got our pizza (surprisingly) and it was not that good. Hard, cardboard like crust. No server came after the pizza was delivered. I had to go to the bar for more drinks. Great location, live music was cool and food is good. Service SUCKED. Was there yesterday on a beautiful Saturday and docked our boat at the restaurant, that's a really great feature. We sat at our table for 30 minutes and nobody came. I had to go find someone to take our order. I really want this business to succeed and love Pizza Pubs.
