It came loaded with a giant orange peel and topped with a couple thick strips of crispy bacon and a piece of what I'm pretty sure was a bacon-waffle garnish - such a fun, over-the-top touch that actually worked with the drink instead of feeling gimmicky. The bourbon itself was smooth with just the right amount of sweetness, and the smoky bacon on top added a savory contrast that made it way more interesting than your typical Old Fashioned. The bartender clearly knew the menu well and was happy to chat through the whiskey selection, which made the whole experience feel personal rather than rushed. Great spot if you're looking for a laid-back bar with a serious cocktail program and a little bit of playful flair.
