Friends I know have been raving about this place and I figured I was in the neighbourhood so why…read morenot? It's a small little pizza joint. There were some seating outside but it was only the one table for two people. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The only downfall was that they ran out of meat sauce so the lasagna was out of the question but they made up for it in the pizza flavours. The menu is pretty straightforward; they offer multiple types of pizza ranging from classic meat lovers to unique ones like smoked salmon or tandoori chicken. I ended up ordering the four cheese because I was in a cheesy mood. The pizza was amazing. The crust had a nice puff up but was not so crunch that it would cut the roof of your mouth. The sauce-to-dough ratio was perfect, and neither ingredient overpowered the other. The cheeses they used (Ricotta, Feta, Bocconcini and cream cheese) didn't clash with each other, and it just seemed to be a slice of cheesy goodness with every bite. The pizza was not greasy, so no mountain of napkins was needed. A must-try if your into pizza and like my nannu says in Sicilian "Veni e pigghiati 'u divertimentu" (Come and enjoy it already).

We probably made a mistake when ordering 2 large half and half pizzas as this turned out to be a very pricey pizza dinner (over $80!!) but that's not the restaurant's fault. We'll just be more mindful next time. The pizzas were good and I loved the freshness of the toppings. Unfortunately, I did not love their crust as it was too chewy for my liking. The chicken wings we got was pretty heavily breaded which is also not my favorite way to eat them. We may come back to try their more adventurous offerings.

I had never been to Papa John's, so I placed an order after doing some grocery shopping on a Wednesday night. My first time seeing a Papa John's in my life was in Rochester, MN. You could buy a pizza and heat it up at home (it was called take-and-bake), or you could order pizza that was hot and ready for you to consume. My officemate ordered from Papa John's often. I never did. Sadly, Rochester doesn't have a single Papa John's left anymore. I ordered the following items: - 10" meatball pepperoni pizza (BOGO) - Honey chipotle chicken poppers I got garlic sauce for everything. I was excited to try it. My takeout order was expected to be done in ten minutes. Super fast. Sure enough, it was. This store is on the north side of highway 7. I pulled into the parking lot next to Papa John's. There were a handful of spots. The store's official parking lot is behind the store. I walked up the cement pathway to the store. There is a single outdoor table with chairs if you want to eat there. Otherwise, there are no seats inside the store for dining. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly woman. I indicated that I was picking up an Uber Eats order. She nodded and went to fetch it above the oven, keeping everything warm. I thanked her and headed to my car with my three boxes of food. Let's start with the pizza. Each pizza came with a container of garlic sauce and a couple of pepperoncini. The slices were not cut uniformly. I got one slice that could easily be two slices for a normal human. In turn, I got a dinky little one that could be considered finger food. The pepperoni distribution was great on the pizza. You got pepperoni in each bite. The meatball chunks seemed to indicate rationing. You got exactly one meatball chunk on each pizza slice. As someone who loves meatballs, I expected more. The crust was yummy. Chewy. Crunchy. Not soggy. It was great. I was trying to figure out where the garlic sauce had dairy in it. It does not. Yay! It tasted like melted margarine mixed with a mild amount of garlic. It was good and had a velvety texture. I ended up pouring it on top of each pizza slice. It became addictive. Verdict: Yummy, but I want more meatballs. I had enough pizza to last a couple more days. I love leftover pizza. Still delicious. No complaints here. I also had half the honey chipotle chicken poppers and the rest of them the next day. They are essentially white chicken meat in nugget form that are breaded and I assume oven-baked. They weren't greasy. The honey and chipotle sauces were drizzled on top. They were pretty good. I could do without the sauces on top. They tasted better dipped in the garlic sauce. Then again, I'm biased and would say that anything dipped in garlic sauce makes the main food item taste better. I had a wonderful first experience at Papa John's. I'd love to build my own pizza next time and see whether I get a slice a mushroom on each pizza slice or if rationing is lifted. (198)

Back in 2014, my entire department worked eight consecutive Saturdays on top of long weekday hours to get a software delivery out the door. As kind as the company was to supply lunch for us every Saturday, it was the same boring set of fries and cardboard pizza varieties (pepperoni, veggie, pineapple, beef) that I banned going to Pizza Pizza for a couple of years. After seeing a concert and inhaling a decent hot dog outside the venue on Thursday night, I was still hungry. I didn't want to hang out for an hour at a restaurant. It was past midnight. I also didn't want a hamburger. I remembered this Pizza Pizza and headed over. This location is five minutes away from home. I parked next to the side entrance and walked in. At midnight, there were four customers. All men. All by themselves. Interesting. I headed to the counter. There was one man on staff. I looked at the pizza slices. The varieties didn't match the labels. Nothing like confusing customers like me who rarely stop in and make me pay attention! The man was kind to tell me what the slice varieties were. I opted for the pepperoni supreme slice. He took it and heated it up in the oven. I also got a Diet Coke. Here's a first. I was so thirsty after having a huge hot dog that when he gave me the can of pop, I cracked it opened, stood there, and drank roughly half of it by the time my pizza slice was ready. It was cold and hit the spot. My pizza slice was ready. It was fast. Since it was large, he cut it in half, put it on a paper plate, and then into a paper bag. Nice! Five minutes later, I was home. I tore into my pizza. Even though the crust at Pizza Pizza will always taste like cardboard to me, my pizza slice was delicious. I liked the generous number of pepperoni slices on it. The mushrooms and green peppers made me happy. I downed it with the rest of my Diet Coke. This location is definitely the best Pizza Pizza that I have ever been to. I'll come back to give the wings and avocado fries a try. (106)

I also have never ordered delivery from this place. Huh? Every pizza slice that I have devoured from this store is thanks to my dad. I also will never say no to pizza slices. My dad will often get me Hawaiian and meaty slices. I don't mind pineapple on pizza. I like protein. Both slices are yummy. This store is generous with toppings on their pizza. The crust is perfect. He has also got me a slice with chicken. It was okay. I find that the white chicken meat tends to be bland if you pick it off the slice and eat it. It tastes unseasoned and boring. Even with more toppings to break up the monotony, the tasteless chicken is the weakest topping on the slice. My dad doesn't get me the chicken slices anymore. Yay! Sadly, this eatery didn't have a dessert menu. I wanted something small to satisfy my sweet tooth, as I was stuffed. I wondered if Costa Sorrento had dessert that I could take home. I walked over to this restaurant. I was already parked in the lot across from Good Catch. I walked in. A small market was in front of me. Gelato was on my right in the freezer. Yay! A male staffer came over to greet me, who was a bit hard of hearing. I let him know that I was here for the market. He nodded and let me be. I was so happy to see candy, sugar, salt, pasta, chocolate, and a lot more. It was wonderful. I got these items: - A small cup of Biscoff gelato - Black truffle luxury mixed nuts - Frizzy lemon candies I asked the man where I could pay for these items. He guided me to the cash area at the bar. The downside to this market is that you don't see prices. He knew how much the gelato cup cost. He didn't know about the other two, so he had to call a colleague. It's funny, but it ended up being a group effort to figure out pricing and cash me out. Two other female staffers also joined in. It's not exactly a cheap market. I suspect that the mixed nuts and lemon candies were imports. They were $10 each. My small gelato was $5. I'm glad that I didn't commit to getting a pint. What if I hated what I had? I also wanted a small dessert, so it worked out. I paid with a credit card. I tapped. Done! I asked if I could get a spoon for my gelato. One of the nice women went into the back to get one. The other woman let me know that they used to give out big spoons, but had gelato spoons now. I got a blue spoon with a napkin from the woman. Service is great here. I thanked everyone and left with my goods. I declined getting a bag, as I was parked closed by. I enjoyed my Biscoff gelato in my car. It was yummy. I'd get the pint next time. It had bits of Biscoff that were so flavourful in creamy gelato. OMG! It was delightful and the perfect dessert to end my meal. Yesterday, I devoured my bag of black truffle mixed nuts. If you love black truffle oil and mixed nuts, grab a bag. The cashews, walnuts, almonds, and more were huge. I'd get another bag in a heartbeat. Tasty! I may have to come back and get the black truffle potato chips next. I'm sure they are equally as yummy. I haven't tried the lemon candies yet. I hope that they are delightful. It was great dropping by to check out the market. I hope to return and have some pasta next time. (215)

We initially asked for a table at the back, but were informed there was a reservation coming in, so we were offered a table for two by the door instead. Thankfully, it wasn't too chilly, and since foot traffic was minimal, the door stayed closed for most of our visit. When we arrived, there was only one other table of two enjoying coffee. The space itself is quite small, which isn't what you'd typically expect from an Italian spot. They do have patio seating, but it's not really suitable for this time of year. That said, the service was excellent. We were promptly offered drinks, given menus, and had our order taken within a reasonable timeframe. The server also introduced us to the daily specials, kept our waters topped up, and cleared tables as needed. Our waitress was very friendly, and what appeared to be the manager also stopped by to thank us for coming. For food, we shared the sausage pizza. It's meant to be personal-sized, but we were pretty hungry. The flavors were solid, and the pizza wasn't too heavy. The crust was nicely crispy yet chewy, and the toppings were well balanced, not too much, not too little. We also noticed their pastry display; the apple muffin in particular looked tempting, though we didn't try it this time. Definitely something to come back for.
