When we arrives they brought us buschetta that was really good. Them we ordered our drinks (arent pizza place fountain sodas the best?) and food, service was nice and fast. The restaurant has old decor, super old booths, but still springy. The pizza like always was perfecr and so hot and the cheese so gooey, the wings were good too except I only got 7 flats out of 20, I prefer flats. Hair in the veal parm dinner, 2 Gnats/fruit flies INSIDE the Antipasta salad container. Bag of chips has a hole in it, Bacon tasted terrible. This is the 3rd time we've had a terrible experience here. We try and try to give them a chance but it just doesn't work out, apparently. Best of luck eating here. This is the closest pizza place to my house, and I always forget why I don't order here. Until they remind me. The food quality is nowhere what it used to be and the portions are getting smaller and smaller. Their prices for a single slice are ridiculously high. I just ordered their pizza salad knots special. Adding pepperoni and a single slice cost me $9. Ridiculous. The pizza itself looked like a M instead of a L. The crust was thin and hard and just had a horrible texture. The knots straight up looked like someone took one out of the container already! And the salad container is nowhere as near as full as it used to be. If a photo is worth 1000 words than I suppose I'll allow the audience to judge whether or not they should order from here! This used to be a great place when they first opened. I'm not sure what happened. I understand staffing shortages and such but we ordered a pizza at 7pm and my husband arrive at 7:30. The staff said they needed more time and that wasn't a problem. We assumed the food would be fresh seeing how it was almost 1 hr from the time we ordered to the time we picked up but unfortunately we were served dried burnt pizza that I swear had sat out all day and they plopped "sweet sauce" on. This is bad business practices and unfortunately we will not return. I hope they change their ways especially with new competition in the area. read more

Since many brought up the history, yet failed to mention, this was originally Jeannette's pizzeria in the 1990's after the land previously being a movie drive-in. It has had many changes of owners and decor since but has remained a pizza/Italian food restaurant. I've been frequenting Pie-O-Near with my family for nearly two years. My kids enjoy their pizza and stromboli to-go, while other older family members who have dined there raved about many of their pasta dishes and soups. We became crazed fans of the white clam pizza, with its buttery rich flavors, layered on a perfectly golden crust. No exaggeration we gladly have recommended it to everyone we had the opportunity to, finding no other pizza as savory on any of our East coast travels. From NY to Atlantic City, time and time again we found ourselves comparing pizza that simply wasn't as good as Pie-O-Near. As of new management, in our past two orders we've noticed a change in the ingredients, particularly the pizza cheese, which changed the flavor and texture completely of our once favorite go to food. The white clam pizza now has a much more subtle flavor, lacking the previously rich cheese blend with butter and herbs. While the quality is still good, the changes are disappointing, as it's definitely not the amazing pizza that won us over and kept us coming back. read more

I was travelling in Northeastern Pennsylvania quite often this summer and stopped in at this little pizza place in Drums on several occasions. I had their pizza, hoagies and French fries - ALL GREAT! Super friendly staff, clean restaurant, and fantastic food! Fast forward to last night, I'm back home in Georgia and my wife and I order a pizza from what is here considered to be the best place for pizza in Kennesaw. Seriously, the people at Pizza Pie-O-Near need to come to Georgia and teach someone here how to make a real pizza. I'm ruined in terms of eating the pizza that we have here. We stopped here before going to evergreen raceway. Best decision ever. When you walk in you can tell they are a local gem spot. We got seated right away. Was pretty busy. Waitress was very prompt and nice. The food was foodgasimic. Everything we had was delicious. This will be our go to place in that area. Theres so much I want to try. Btw the garlic nots are huge! Don't know if new owners. Ordered a large chicken fajita stromboli. Guy working oven leans to Girl working register and says something to her while pointing at my bill. Girl was then going to charge for a small when guy working pizza oven on 3/1/22 at around 7:40 pm says "no that's not right" and adds it up to what I was expecting to pay. Pay and go home after a 12 hour shift only to find my $19 large stromboli is 14 inches long. BS. Good way to lose customers. Lost this local customer. Pretty sketchy business practice. read more

Has really gone down hill under new ownership. Pizza was flavorless. Not sure what was on it that they tried to pass off as sausage. The chicken tortilla soup used to be awesome, but now it is watery, bland, no chicken, mostly just large chunks of undercooked potato. Will not be going back. Terrible experience ordering a few things at my work. First, when we asked for an order total, the girl on the phone said they were really busy and she'd have to call back with the total. She called back later and read off the order. When we asked for the total, which was the reason we even waited for her to call back, she says, "ummm we're really busy." She said she'd have to call us back...again. We said don't worry about it, just get the order started. The delivery driver then get on the phone and said, "You need to answer your phone when I get there. I can't be waiting." We explained the simple process we have for deliveries. You come into the entrance way, pick up the phone, dial 0000, and someone comes down to pick it up. Easy. He basically said no, he's going to call the cell phone. Fine. An hour later, the driver arrives with the food and we are missing a large pizza. He claims it wasn't on the slip so we must not have ordered it. We explained that we definitely ordered it and the girl on the phone called back and confirmed it. He says he'll go back and get another one and he'll call us when he's back. 45 minutes later he calls and says he's down stairs. A large plain pizza is $10.50. He had $12 set aside for it. He delivers the pizza and says it's $13. We ask why. He says it's for the pizza and the delivery fee. That's right a second delivery fee to bring us a pizza that they forgot. We ask, "Another delivery fee?" He says, "My car doesn't drive on air." We told him if the pizza is $13, he can take it back because we're not paying for it. He conceded and charged us $10.50. We will not be ordering from here again. read more

The garlic knots here are my wife and I's favorite and are very affordable. I recommend eating in the restaurant (which they just expanded) compared to calling for pick up. If calling for pickup, I recommend going 5-10 minutes before the time they told you it would take. Both times I've called for pickup my order was definitely ready before; but sat for a little due to the time I was given to come in. If you are eating in the restaurant, I don't foresee any problems with getting food. The service is friendly, but can be slow at times; but he food makes up for that. I recommend trying their Margherita pizza and getting a side of garlic knots. You will not be disappointed! read more

This fills a much needed quick delivery, good food pizza place in this area! Their menu is huge but everything we have tried has been very good. Their delivery time is usually within a half hour which is the only place around that can say that!! Eli will make you any type of pie you want even if it's not on the menu. Steak Ranchero is amazing along with Vodka sauce.
