I've been stopping in over the years; Phil is always there. It's the kind of place where you don't realize it, but you're acquiring happy memories. It's like going back to the old neighborhood, and finding some things are still the same. That doesn't happen too often. My old neighborhood; 60 miles south of here, is no longer there in a sense. The streets and avenues are, but none of the people or the businesses exist anymore. The inside doesn't seem to change much, same tables and chairs, and art work on the walls. There's table service, plenty of parking outside, when the weather is nice, you could sit out there under the overhang, and watch the world go by. A self proclaimed pizza connoisseur I really can't lie. I wasn't a huge fan of this establishment. The pizza wasn't terrible but a little bit floppy and the sauce was too sweet for me. I didn't see or try anything else there however I can see a menu with desserts and soups. The interior was a typical pizza parlor which I like countertop with slices overall atmosphere was chill quiet not so much conversation. Prices were decent. read more

Honestly, I don't even know where to start. I called in an order today and when I walked in, I immediately heard one of the managers yelling at their employees. The place looked absolutely disgusting and the manager walked over as if nothing happened. I looked horrified, come to find out that this place has gotten MULTIPLE complaints about not only the food, but of the management as well. Not only am I disappointed, but I feel horrible for the employees working at this location. If I could give this zero stars, believe me when I say I would. read more

Best Pizza in the Fishkill Area. The Owner Phil is the coolest Boomer In Dutchess countt. The Pizza man Freddie is very Proffesional. Whenever I walk into the establishment I feel right at home. The restaurant is maintained as well the foors are always clean thanks to Phil's excellent driver and dishwasher Mike. I live in the Back woods off East Hook Road and mike is the only delivery driver in the area that can easily find my house and back in and out of my driveway without smashing into my my mail box. read more

I've had many slices of pizza in my lifetime, but this pie in particular was unlike any other. First, a little back story - I work at a local business, one where our customer service is the nail that keeps our name on the roof of the building. While working for said business, I used to frequently order from the original Pizza Phil location before he had shut. When word got out that Pizza Phil was back in town at a new location, I was ecstatic. Since his grand re-opening, I had ordered a few pies from Pizza Phil. A few plains, a meatball, a sausage and pepper, and a chicken bacon ranch. They weren't anything to brag about, but nor were they anything to call and complain about. I would consider it your average run of the mill slice of pizza. Now I, along with many others, am a firm believer in that you can go into any pizzeria at any point of the day, order one plain slice, and have a solid assessment of the quality of the pizza they can make. My personal favorite however is a true Italian classic; the margarita. After talking with a fellow pizza lover and close friend of mine earlier that day about a margarita pie we had not long too ago, my mouth was watering. The only fix, was another savory margarita pie. I called, placed my order, and eagerly waited for what I hoped would be a fresh, and delicious margarita pie. One that would not have any slices left over for the morning (the true breakfast of champions). The door bell rang, I could smell the garlic the second I opened the door. I paid the man and tipped him graciously for his speedy delivery. I walked to my kitchen with a smirk on my face. My imagination was running wild with the potential deliciousness my taste buds were about to experience. I opened the box and my jaw dropped...... "This is pizza?" I said to myself. As a pizza lover, it was one of the most horrific things I had ever laid my eyes upon. That speedy delivery I talked about earlier, well that would explain all the sauce on only one side of the pizza. I should have asked for an autograph because Jimmie Johnson had to be driving and must have had a kid come up to the door to collect his monies. But that's just the start. The mozzarella was melted - and not the soft, creamy melted that a fresh piece of cold mozzarella placed on top of a warm pizza, melted - this was a placed in the oven and baked, melted. To top it all off, I'm convinced Phil used two full cloves of garlic to cover this catastrophe. My heart sank, my mouth dried, and my dreams of a delicious dinner had disappeared. I decided to call him up and voice my displeasure in a polite manner; hoping that Phil would do right by me. For the second time tonight, I was wrong. I spoke to Phil personally and he was convinced he could do no wrong. He began to get very frustrated with me and repeatedly informed me that - "I made the pizza, I know it's good." I kept reassuring him that I was not being rude or calling just to bash his work of art, but that I was giving him constructive criticism and was hoping he'd make things right. For a glimmering moment Phil had made me a happy man. He apologized for his poor pizza and offered to deliver me a new one (at NASCAR speeds I'm sure) if I give him back the six slices I hadn't eaten. I said "They're all yours, but on the next pie could you use a little less garlic?" He replied, "Ya know I don't think we can get this new pizza out to you, have a good night." Flabbergasted, I hung up the phone. I didn't really know how to react. After working for a business that prides itself on customer service for seven years, I had always believed that the customer is always right - even when they are wrong. Pizza Phil and that other pizza place before this one both pale in comparison to Lou's Pizza Town when it was in that spot. The owners were friendly as well as the people they hired to work there. They use to sell soda in their cooler, but haven't in sometime. Their soda fountain drinks are flat and taste old. The price they charge for pizza is pricey and it isn't even that good. Their sandwiches the dressing they put on it taste cheap and old. The big guy they use to have in the kitchen making and cooking the food is a creeper. Pizza Phil USED to be okay. In recent times the food just SUCKS! No offense Phil, just constructive criticism. The problem is the obsessive cost-cutting. The pies are no longer any good especially after they switched to that lower grade mozzarella cheese. Tonight was the last straw. I ordered take out and got the the chicken Sorrentino over penne with a side of meatballs. That entrée comes with garlic knots and a salad. I was so excited to dive into a plate of pasta covered with a thick red sauce, savory chicken, nicely breaded eggplant and mozzarella. There was something wrong with every single part of this meal! The garlic knots were only half cooked and very doughy. The salad was pretty large but very skimpy on ingredients. From working in many Italian places (Including Pizza Phil...yes this one!!) I know that salads of that size are supposed to come with at least a 4 ounce cup of dressing... Phil only gives out a 2 ounce cup. So then I had to go in the refrigerator to try to find more dressing so I could actually eat the salad. Unfortunately, the salad I ordered came with ranch and the only thing I had my refrigerator was honey mustard so I had to combine the two kinds of dressings. The chicken Sorrentino itself was absolutely disgusting. It was so bad that I couldn't even eat the pasta, and I'm not picky ...I eat everything. There was absolutely no sauce on it... It was all red water. The penne was literally swimming in red water! You know when you're making sauce at home and empty out the sauce and then fill it back up with water to rinse out the last little bit of sauce? The sauce on this pasta was like that can of water. I had to drain all of that watery mess. It filled an entire 8 ounce glass. The water pretty much washed all the seasoning off the chicken leaving it bland and tasteless. It made the eggplant so soggy that it was gross. To add insult to injury, there wasn't any mozzarella on the entrée at all... None! Not a single shred. Excuse me Mr. Phil, your menu states this dish comes with cheese. The side of meatballs were probably the best out of everything. The meatballs themselves were pretty good. The only complaint there was that the sauce was definitely thinned out way too much with... wait for it.............Water! If you're looking for good Italian, this is no longer the place to go. If you want the best of the best with comparable pricing go to Antonella's. read more

Pizza Phil makes excellent pizza as well as meatballs and spinach with garlic. I ordered 2 pies today, one plain and one with sausage, peppers and garlic. Both were pizza perfection. Crisp chewy crust, the right amount of sauce and cheese, well balanced and correct size toppings. Both are what you expect from a good local pizza place. The meatballs are delicious, tender, meaty flavorful with a great sauce. Spinach with garlic was done just right. This is my go to spot for pizza now. Thanks Phil and staff! read more

Charged me over $18.00 for a SMALL pizza. When I questioned the price the cook asked me why I was staring at the menu and the cashier offered me money out of the tip jar. The pizza sucked. The people sucked. Do not go here if you're starving to death. read more

Until pizza Phil's I was never happy with the fishkill area pizzas. Pizza Phil's is always uniform with nice crust and flavorful toppings. I like the grilled chicken and onions. I have been coming to Pizza Phil for a couple of years and their pizza is good but no real wow factor. But tonight I picked up a pizza, and I have to say it was an AWESOME pie. I wish I could give zero stars. My boyfriend and I ordered food, he got wings and pizza I got a grilled chicken Caesar salad with shredded cheese on top. Food took over an hour to come, (on a Monday). Delivery guy said he had no change. We had asked for cups and plates with our order. We didn't get those. My salad came with no dressing and no shredded cheese just one shake of Parmesan cheese. Called the place, they said they would send the delivery guy back with what was missing. We got plates cups napkins and my dressing but no cheese. We were also supposed to get ten dollars back in change and only got five after the delivery guy said "here's your ten dollars change" we were so overly annoyed at this point we let it go. I'm not sure what kind of pizza place let's their delivery person drive around with no change money but it was terrible. Not to mention when we specifically asked to go to the garage in the back to the woman who took the order we got a call that he was knocking on the front door of the house which we don't even live in we live upstairs (staircase on the side) but either way it was definitely not an enjoyable experience. read more

Phils had been my go to place back in the early 2000's when he was across from cvs plaza on main street. After he closed up I struggled to find a place with pizza dough,crust, and toppings as good as pizza phils. To my pleasant surprise I found he reopened in recent years in the plaza by jerricks! Have been ordering here since. Never have had a problem with the food (best pizza around and delicious and great Priced Chicken Parm Family Meal) or the service. Quality food from a quality place. Pizza Phil is awesome, manager Robert is a wonderful guy, treats customers very nice, food is good, pizza good, wings, calamari, very good, will make a special dish if requested, decent pricing, free refills on sodas, i try to go as often as i can, nice for the kids. Workers have treated us very nicely. NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL. I live in Wappingers its about a 15 minute drive from my home and don't mind traveling to Phil's. Absolutely the best pizza I have had in years. Moved away to western NY and in town visiting. Had a Sicilian pie delivered to our motel room. Arrived promptly and hot. I recently had two of the best slices of pizza I have ever had in my lifetime at Pizza Phil's. This was my first visit and won't be my last. First when you enter Pizza Phil's you are greeted with the pleasant aroma of what my Grandma's kitchen used to smell like,a sauce on the stove, baking bread, roasting peppers smell. It is also one of the cleanest pizzerias I have ever been in. The staff and I am assuming the owner (I heard another customer call him Phil) were exceptionally nice. Many of the customers seemed to be regulars. I ordered 2 slices and a Dr. Pepper and was told that that was there No. 1 special and was $6.00. As I was starting on my second slice one of Pizza Phil employees seeing my nearly finished Dr. Pepper asked if I would like a refill. The pizza was delicious, great crispy crust, tasty sauce and stretchy mozzarella. For $6.00 I had 2 slices, 2 Dr. Peppers and a new favorite pizza place. read more

I am writing this review to say a HUGE "THANK YOU" to Pizza Phil for it's support for the students at Brinckerhoff Elementary School in Fishkill , NY. On March 13, 2013 we held our annual Science Fair for 3rd and 4th grade students. Approximately 65 students attended and their presentations were incredible - they had great fun exploring science which was most important. Pizza Phil, recognizing the importance of education came through and offered a free slice of pizza and a soda to each student who participated in the Science Fair. This was truly icing on top of the cake and helps to send a message to students that hard work pays off in many ways! On behalf of the Science Fair committee, I want to than Pizza Phil for supporting our local community and I will be very happy support Pizza Phil as well!
