Staff is fantastic. The host couldn't have been nicer and more welcoming while we were waiting for order to be ready for takeout. It was a Saturday evening and while we were told 30 to 40 minutes, it took nearly an hour. When we arrived and had to wait another 15 minutes, he gladly poured us some wine and made sure we were comfortable as we waited. The food is very reasonably priced for the quantity and quality. While not everything I would re-order (the photos are just part of a large order), what we enjoyed was fantastic. The pastas were fantastic - especially the Bolognese. The Italian sandwich was hot and loaded with meats and the fire roasted bread was cooked perfectly around it and just the right thickness. The pizzas were good but not great. I'd argue maybe a bit doughier than what I'd expect from real wood fired Neapolitan pizza. The ingredients were of high quality and everyone who ate pizza enjoyed them! There's nothing not to like about this pizza-centric outpost to its sister restaurant, Cuocco Pazzo, located in the same strip center on Johnnie Dodds Blvd. The interior is small and intimate with maybe 10 tables and a two stool 'bar' which also serves as a counter for pick up orders. Beverages are limited to beer, wine and soda. There's 4 appetizers of which three are fried and of course, meatballs in marinara ... three salads - Caesar, Caprese and House, several calzones, 3 paninis and 10 specialty pizzas, one size. We also reviewed a sheet with 7 pasta dishes which seemed odd given these same entrees are offered at Cuocco Pazzo, a few doors away. Our order was simple. We were sharing the Caprese salad ($13.49) and a Carnivoro (Meat Lovers) pizza. Our server, Grazie, advised that they were running out of pepperoni (huh?) and that other meats would be increased. Hub started with a great pour of Chianti, well priced at $7.00/glass. We both enjoyed their take on the Caprese salad - it was a perfect size for sharing. The presentation was lovely ... 8 half moon slices of fresh, seasoned mozzarella, alternating with thin slices of juicy tomato topped with a chiffonade of fresh basil ... accompanied by a nice portion of fresh mixed greens, gently tossed with a yummy balsamic vinegar. The pizza, probably between 12-13 inches was delicious, but, perhaps a bit overpriced at $21.95. The crust was thin, which is my preference. The toppings were tasty ... but, there could have been more and it could have been crisper which knocked my rating down from 5 stars to four. We ordered the mini cannoli to go. They were tasty, but overpriced at $6.00, considering their size. Our server was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back. While this place registers as being new, it is apparently a reorganization of some existing business. The interior is more well put together than you'd think for a shopping mall kind of location, but I was the only one eating in person while several other customers left with takeout, which surprised me. Particularly given that the Neapolitan style of pizza is really best right out of the oven, as the texture changes within minutes. Service was a bit of a struggle as they apparently had drafted someone from the kitchen staff to act as a waiter, and this person did agree with me that people who weren't eating this pizza fresh were missing the point. I ordered my margherita with a single topping of hot cherry peppers, and they were excellent peppers that added a ton of flavor. The browning of the crust, and the richness of the cheese both suggested good quality ingredients. My options besides pizza were somewhat limited, being a vegetarian who doesn't like olives, but as far as executing a proper Neapolitan pizza, the wood-fired oven and the substance of what they're making were worth coming for me. read more

It's been a while since I have posted about my favorite pizza restaurant in Mt. Pleasant, @pizzapazzomtp , so I figured I had better fix that! This time I ventured out from just ordering their pizza and also ordered their Italian Panino. This was an absolutely delicious sandwich loaded with Ham, salami, prosciutto d' parma, provolone cheese, spring mix. The bread was perfectly crusty, but not chewy and was so good. I also ordered my favorite pizza from them, the Capricciosa. This pizza is soooo flipping great and generously topped with San Marzano tomato sauce, Mozzarella cheese, Salami, Ham, Artichokes, Mushrooms, Kalamata olives, basil, EVO Oil. It was cooked perfectly and was still nice and hot when it arrived via UberEats. I highly recommend Pizza Pazzo! read more

We were in town on vacation, and were in the mood for pizza, and quick scan of pizza places in the area landed us on Pizza Pazzo. It was a weekday night, about 7:30, so as it turns out we were the only people in the restaurant. It's not a big dining room, but it's very nicely laid out with great decor. Pizzas only come in one size, but it was easily large enough to share between two people with a slice or two left over. We got the Marguerite pizza, with fresh mozzarella and basil and it was excellent! This is the type of pizza that is more the thin crust, woodfired oven kind of pizza, not your thick pan pizza like you get it other places. We also got a Caesar side salad, which was enormous, and luckily the owner had warned us that it was big enough to share which we did. The food was delicious, we would absolutely go back in a heartbeat! Definitely give this place a try! read more

5 stars. No question. We just moved from up north and have tried a couple of pizza places in Mt pleasant, this was by far my favorite. Get mozzarella sticks- homemade circles of excellence. Also - Pizza crusts were perfect and red sauce just like grandma. Go for the limoncello cake too it won't disappoint. Would recommend the meatballs too. We got margherita pizza and the fra diavolo Kid friendly felt very small town. Not a large place and located a little tucked away but definitely go! I came in late on a Monday night. First time. Hunter was helpful and attentive as I sat at the tiny (2 seat) but cozy bar. He was working both front and back of the house and made me feel right at home. The pizza took less than 10 minutes straight for the wood-fired oven. It was delicious. This is the best pizza I've had so far in Mount P, shocked that the entire place was empty when I came in on a Saturday night. Love the thin Naples style pizza, we ordered a classic margherita and the veggie pizza with some pepperoni added on top (the chef's favorite, was amazed at how delicious this was with no sauce). My family and I decided to try this new restaurant out based on its reviews. Upon entry the service seem to be slow but decided to give it a shot considering the reviews. Actually, I think the reviews are fraud as a service was awful. They took over 45 minutes for pizza and the order wasn't even done correctly. When our order was place the restaurant a a wasn't busy. My wife's saw so many violations in the kitchen from the chef looking through the window. He was drinking from a pitcher and had an attitude and was always on his phone. The pizza is good but I've had better pizza than this and it's not worth a five star rating. The price for the area is also ridiculous considering lousy service. We just happened upon this place while in search for a pizza place to satisfy our pizza craving. Cute little Italian pizza restaurant with very friendly server. Apparently the Cuoco Pazzo around the corner is owned by the same owner. This restaurant covers the pizza dishes and the other restaurant the pasta dishes I guess. The pizza was amazing. They have their pizzas cooked in a wood-burning oven. I think the owner is Italian so pretty sure the food was authentic Italian food. Yummm! read more

Pleasant's BEST PIZZA LaPizzeria (still closed due COVID-19 please reopen soon Laura) j Unfortunately not close at all! Pizza Pazzo very average (maybe the sauce is too sweet for our taste - and the pie was not cooked long enough) needed to reheat the crust immediately at home. Pizza Pazzo has become one of our go-to restaurants when we're in the mood for a good NY style pie and willing to take a little extra drive. We love their pizza! The crust is tasty and cooked to perfection. We've tried several and have not been disappointed. Here are a couple things to consider when ordering to go. I'm not sure if part of this is COVID related but if you have more than a 10-minute ride, order when you're getting in your car or it will be ready before you get there. Although we don't really live that far, it seems we can't get there in less than 20 minutes... those darn route 17 lights! However, that hasn't stopped us, we simply order, jump in the car, and go. We've also just accepted the fact that it takes a little while so we just warm up the oven on low when we get home, and stick it in there to keep it warm. Anyway, although I said "NY Style", I guess it's really Napoletana Style, which in my opinion is close anyway. Darn good pizza, reasonably priced, quick friendly service! read more

We arrived just after they had opened so it was still pretty quiet. The location makes this restaurant very unassuming, but we were very pleasantly surprised. We have been searching for an authentic pizza as good as the one we had in Naples, and this was a close second!! We both ordered the margarita which was perfectly crispy.
