Was in downtown Willow Glen this afternoon and wanted a quick lunch. A slice of pizza sounded good, so I headed to Pizza My Heart. The restaurant was empty when I got there around 2pm on a Friday. The employee behind the counter was attentive. I ordered a slice of Big Sur, then grabbed a booth while they heated my slice in the oven. There was lively music playing plus two large screen TVs playing different sports games, and I found that overwhelming in such a small space. Music or TV would have been okay, but not both. The employee brought me my warm slice of Big Sur in about five minutes. It is topped with roasted garlic cloves, pepperoni, Italian sausage, portobello mushrooms, and green onions. It has a spicy little kick to it. I love the combination of the garlic with the mushrooms and sausage. I usually remove some of the pepperoni because I think that's what makes it spicy. They have many different types of creatively-topped pizzas, like the Basil Almond Pesto, and old standards like pepperoni and cheese. They also have chicken wings and pre-made salads. I've honestly never been to this pizza, my heart before, and I had no idea they still did those punchcards! I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to order three slices of pizza, and get a free drink!! Since this spot is right next to Starbucks there's no parking but if you go behind the Starbucks, there's a open parking lot where I found parking and then I just walked semi around the block very easy! Service was very quick and The teenagers working there were very polite. They were a lot of seats taken by other people so I wasn't able to take a picture of the whole dining area as well as the outside dining area. The outside dining areas actually covered by somewhat overhang from the building on top or second story so if it's raining, you could still sit outside and not get rained on which sounds great! First time at this Pizza My Heart location, which I tend to avoid since it's in a busy area and parking is always hard to find. But, since I was crazing their Sunset Beach pizza and was in the area already - I decided to just chance it and ordered ahead. The person who took my order was polite and friendly. When I got there, I did have to ring around once to find parking - but it's to be expected for the Willow Glen area. Once I parked, took a quick walk and got my pizza. The crew working got my pizza, gave me plates, napkins and pepper flakes and I was on my way. Overall, great experience. Both the person on the phone who took my order and the one who rang me up were friendly and polite. They were quick and efficient, and the pizza was delicious. While we were there eating, he went and opened the door for a gentleman who is disabled in a wheelchair and greeted him with a smile. The whole team in general is spectacular. I saw the manager arguing with door dash driver. This is very inappropriate behavior to engage in. Especially in front of customers. My family has a mix of gluten and dairy allergies so we are constantly searching for dining options. Pizza my heart had a good gluten free crust that does not contain cheese. Also, the miyokos cheese is great. I particular like this location due to the friendly staff, how well the gluten free crust is cooked, and the amount of miyokos they use. I live close to the Los Gatos branch, but they overcook their gluten free crust and are very stingy with the miyokos (probably due to cost). Because of this we always make the trek to willow glen. read more

I always get the meal deal which includes a piece of pizza, a salad and a drink. They have raised the prices over the years and I think they did it again. I paid like $11.20. Its getting to a point where its not really a good deal anymore. I always get the Greek salad which is yummy. It has Greek olives and Feta cheese. And I love their ranch dressing. I always dip my pizza crust in it. I like a variety of their pizzas and try different ones each time. I thought on Saturdays the Figgy Piggy was the pizza of the day but they did not have any of that one. I was disappointed in that. So I got a piece of mushroom. It was good but not what I wanted. I just moved here from Los Angeles area, where everyone knows food has so much flavor and cultural flare, so I was curious to see what grounds the Bay stood on. I live close to Pizza My Heart and figured I'd try it on for size. The slice fit!!!!! I ordered via online platform which was a breeze. My pizza came fast, hot and freaking good! I never have the option for anchovies (which I love, judge all you want lol) and finally got the chance to have them. So much salty goodness on a wonderful pizza. The eatery has so many different toppings to choose from and you can order by the slice which is a plus if your eating for 1 :) I made a mistake on my order, called in and was greeted quickly and efficiently. Me and my disabled friend decided to come out for a slice of pizza today after learning the mask mandates had been loosened in California recently and made it a point to stop by Pizza my Heart since that is his favorite place to get a slice locally. We went inside and were immediately greeted by what seemed like the manager pointing at my disabled friend asking him if he had a mask to wear indoors which to get responded "I thought the mask mandate was over?". Rudely the person at the counter said "Nope." Then proceeded to shuffle around to look for one. He eventually returned with a mask and handed it to my friend saying "you should probably hang onto this for other places, and by the way it's up to shop owners if they want you to have a mask on or not." Incredibly uncalled for. I personally wanted to leave but my friend insisted on the slice. We ordered the slices and sat down at a booth to wait to our surprise this guy aggressively asked if we were eating here. We said no, got our slices and left. (Probably was hoping to ask for our Vax cards which we both are triple Vaxxed anyways.) Not sure if I said I wanted soup when I ordered instead of pepperoni and Hawaiian pizza but our slices were absolutely soaked with grease. So much that as we were eating them it was dripping off of them onto the concrete next to us. Not sure if this was intentional but after this experience we will not be returning. When I looked at the label it was some other guys order. I guess good for us, cause paid for one and got two, but whoever's managing those should double check. If you're into thin crust pizza, then this is your place. It's a bit overpriced, but still pretty solid. I'd just recommend coming in person to pick up and eat immediately.
