    Cheese Pizza

Good pizza and the potato skins are definitely worth a try! Bacon was nice and crispy. Nice thick crust on the pizza. Definitely gonna become my weekly spot.

Pizza Mia serves up pretty good thin crust pizza, very firm and crisp crust on the bottom. This small takeout place also serves up calzones, subs, salads, burgers, chicken, tips, pasta dinners, and sides. The prices here are fair and they accept competitor's coupons comparable to Pizza Mia. I went here to grab some pizza slices for lunch, cheese and pepperoni slices ($1.80 & $2.00 plus tax), which were reheated in the oven and ready in 3 minutes. Though the pizza tasted pretty good with a good crust, sauce, and browned cheese topping, there were a few burnt air bubbles near the edge, perhaps from the reheating process, which I removed before eating. The slices tasted pretty good. If you like good Italian style pizza in this area, then this is the place to go. (really 3.5 stars)

Their pizza tastes really good, I have to say. But I think the way they service the customers are a bit inconsiderate, to say the least. Let me explain. I put an online order for a Margherita Pizza with extra base cheese and extra fresh mozzarella, because I loved their Margherita Pizza when I first ordered from here. Then I received a call from them a little moment after I placed the order. They asked if my order is correct, with extra fresh mozzarella, AND extra mozzarella cheese, so I asked if there will be any issues with the pizza. Because the moment they asked the question, I knew that they might be asking because of the amount of cheese, and how it might overflow, and look bad or just overall unpresentable and whatnot. They said "no, nothing's wrong, just calling to make sure we got the order right!". So I thought "Wow, that is great to hear! Extra cheese and they're not gonna have any issues with it! They must be pretty good at managing these nicely" So I pick up the pizza, and open it, and...that is what I see in the picture attached. For those of you that don't know, a typical Margherita Pizza does NOT look like that in any way, neither did the first Margherita I ordered from here. It'd be more fair for them if I didn't ask if anything was wrong. But I did. I always give restaurants a second chance, and this place tastes good so hopefully next time I place an order like this, they do a much better job.

I first visited these guys when they were operating out of a small barn, and seeing the evolution to this 53,000 sq ft, $18.5M facility is seriously impressive. They follow a "direct-to-consumer" model -- selling everything right out the front door -- and they've mastered it. I've been here many times over the years and go whenever I have the opportunity, which says everything. Tried some of their standout beers -- King Julius is the gold standard, consistently ranked among the best beers in the world. Their flagship Julius is just as impressive, with massive notes of mango and peach -- incredibly well balanced and executed. There are usually food trucks on site, which adds to the experience -- you can enjoy a fresh pour while picking up your take-home haul. Fun fact: On BeerAdvocate's all-time Top 250 list, Tree House often has 30+ beers featured, something almost no other brewery can match. Overall, some of the best beers anywhere -- truly unparalleled and absolutely worth the visit. Saluti.

Wow. This is the fastest I ever wrote a review after leaving somewhere. This was also the worst…read morerestaurant experience of my entire life, so the urgency is warranted. And I've eaten at probably over 250+ restaurants in my adult life. Why was it so bad? The salami on the antipasto salad was so rancid, my poor wife almost immediately vomited when she took a bite. And I mean she instantaneously gagged audibly and could barely maintain her composure. She felt embarrassed but when I smelled the salami I completely understood why she would react that way. It smelled like it was bad a week prior. We told the waitress, who took the food back. The kitchen staff had informed her they checked the salami and it was fine. My wife works in food service and said this salami was rancid. I have no such experience and could tell by scent and sight that this was badly spoiled. It was yellowish in some areas. I wanted to leave then, even though we had an entree on the way. I took one look around at the dated, cheap decor, the nasty blinds caked with dust and food particles, and thought to myself: this is one of those places from Kitchen Nightmares, where Gordon Ramsay would pop out, shut the place down, then go stick is hand in some slop in the back. A supervisor comes out and explains that they aren't saying we are wrong, but that the salami they checked was okay. That the portion we received might have been spoiled, but they assure me the rest isn't. C'mon. If the kitchen staff couldn't admit or tell this was revolting, then what the hell else were they going to serve me? I soon found out. We got the chicken francaise which is a cutlet dredged in egg and tossed in flour. It should be like a pan-seared cutlet with a slight coating. No, what we were served was a chicken cutlet inside an omelette. Swear to god. There was visible egg scramble layered on top and the bottom of the chicken. I was absolutely starving so I had a couple of bites. I commented on how it was like an omelette and my wife responded "that's what it is like!" And then commented on the egg smell. This was the grossest texture you could imagine. Our waitress had just come over to ask how our food was. We asked her to take it away and said it was the worst meal of our lives. I felt terrible for her. She felt so bad and was clearly nervous. We told her not to be sorry repeatedly as it wasn't her fault. It was the kitchen. They comped all the food, which we didn't really eat, but made us pay for our cocktails. Fine. Although considering the fact they ruined our night and we left hungry, they really should have comped those too. It was that bad. I had 7:45PM reservations. As I type this it is 9:14PM. I ordered DoorDash over 15 mins ago as you can see by the pics I have provided. All of this tonight that happened is true and I sincerely hope people read this and think twice about going there. I read another review that said it was the best food of their life. I joked that's because they died immediately after. This food was disgusting, low quality, and the place is a dump.

I then ordered the chicken parm. Flattened to the point where I could taste if it was chicken or veal. I like to cut into a moist chicken breast, this was not. The sauce had no spices rather bland and the side meatball was very dense, adding a panade would make the meatballs lighter. The side homemade tagliatelle that I paid an extra $5 for was too firm and chewy. Overall Not worth a drive down from NH from a recommendation from PG but to meetup with friends it was a pleasant dinner.

So I had a second lunch (two slices from a whole pie that I'll finish another day). -- Pepperoni Pizza: I've come to expect high-quality and that's what I got. Lightly charred crust with a fairly firm base, neither done to an extreme. Unexpected was a bit of sourness to the cheese, which was actually a plus, adding complexity. Robust tomato sauce is there in greater supply than most, and I like that. Pepperoni isn't as thick as Tree House, but it's noticeably thicker than most, and much more flavorful. If there's a weakness to this pizza, it's that the crust is more of a vessel (though a well-cooked one) than flavor provider, but it delivers structure. There's more than enough flavor everywhere else. -- Chocolate Chip Cookie: I always covet them but today I took the plunge. I expected good, but not necessarily great beyond pizza cookie standards. It's fairly thin, very bendy, and very moist, with so much chocolate that I feared it would detract from the dough. Not the case: despite a slight resemblance to supermarket bakery cookies, this dough emphasized butter, not sugar. And a fabulous butter at that (probably brown butter), bringing a darker flavor with nutty hints of caramel. Salt crystals on top are cliché nowadays, but restraint ensured they'd enhance, not distract. The flavor got better with every bite. Excellent cookie that would put many full fledged bakeries to shame. Back to the pizza: If you're not into the tomato, the char, or the lack of seating (2 booths), this place might not be for you. But I'm all for the first two and don't mind gambling on seating, because tailgating is always a worthy last resort for pizza this good.

I've gotten pizza from here twice and both times the crust was overdone, even burnt in some spots. I ordered via the Toast app and there is the option to ask for a lighter bake which I wish I had done. Both times I ordered a pizza with pepperoni and mushroom with garlic bread crust which was about $30 after tax and tip. The pizza is large but still on the pricey side. The garlic bread crust seemed like it was just garlic powder seasoning so it doesn't add much flavor. However I appreciate that they are generous with the toppings and aside from the crust, everything else was good. The location is a pain to get in and out of because the parking lot is small and it's located on a busy spot on 114 next to Stop and Shop.
