He was incredibly kind and took the time to give us detailed recommendations, which honestly made us even more excited for the food. The restaurant itself is adorable, too. I especially loved the wall mural filled with children's drawings. it was such a sweet, charming detail and so enjoyable to look at while we ate. And the pizza was incredible! From the sweet potato filling to the beautiful colors of the crust, everything was so thoughtfully made. The arugula was super fresh, they gave us just the right amount, and the proportion of all the toppings was perfect. Even their homemade pickles were SO good! We also ordered the chicken, which was beautifully fried. crispy on the outside and coated with a delicious sauce. You can really tell how much love, care, and passion the owner has poured into both the restaurant and the menu. It made the entire experience feel extra special. I'm already looking forward to coming back and bringing my family and friends next time!

Later, after we complained, they finally said, "Okay, I'll give you a refund," without even saying sorry or taking responsibility for the mistake. Extremely disappointing experience. Everything we ordered…read morewas excessively salty and greasy. I was especially looking forward to trying the onion rings, but when they arrived, they looked nothing like the picture on the menu. They appeared to be frozen onion rings taken straight from a bag, thrown into the fryer, and served without any care. They were stuck together and poorly presented. Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness of the restaurant was also very concerning. The place did not appear to be properly maintained or clean, which made the dining experience even more unpleasant. I honestly don't understand how a restaurant in this condition continues to operate. I really wanted to enjoy this place, but based on my experience, I would not recommend it. Case in point. Your response actually reinforces my concern. This was never about requesting a refund or simply disliking the onion rings. I was sharing my honest experience regarding the quality of the food and, more importantly, the way I was treated as a customer. I personally saw you behind the cash register today, and I also saw the condition of the onion rings being served. Regardless of what your Yelp photos show or how you normally serve them, you were given an opportunity to recognize that the particular batch being served was unacceptable. When food is clearly poorly prepared, stuck together, overly greasy, or otherwise not up to the standard you expect your customers to receive, the appropriate response is to stop it from being served--not defend it afterward. What was even more disappointing was the way you responded to my concerns. Arguing with a customer and becoming defensive does not resolve the issue or demonstrate good customer service. A simple acknowledgment and professional response would have gone a long way. I am not asking for a refund, nor am I looking for anything from you. I am expressing my experience as a customer and the way I was treated today. Unfortunately, this experience made it clear that the quality of the food is not the only issue--the customer service and attitude toward customers are equally concerning. I will not be returning, and based on my experience, I certainly cannot recommend the establishment to people I know. A restaurant is judged not only by the food it serves, but by how it responds when a customer raises a legitimate concern. Today, neither met the standard I would expect..

It was my first time back since the event. Got here about 30 minutes before closing time. There was only one other customer at the time. Free parking behind the restaurant. Comfortable inside space with interior seating plus exterior patio seating at the front and side. Restrooms are available. Only one gentleman staff was working. He said he was the manager on duty. Thanks Eddie for your service and help. During my order, I found out that their pizzas have a base cost which was about $19+. Depending on what flavors you want, they will charge $6.00 for each flavor you build your own. I wanted half Hawaiian and half Vegetarian. Custom Medium would have cost me $31+ rather than $23+ for Medium Hawaiian Style only. I ended up with the latter and also got a regular Vodka Sauce Pasta. Total bill came to $38 including tax + tip. I enjoyed the pizza very much. Crust was thin. Sauce was tasty. Plenty of ingredients on pizza. Square cuts versus slice cuts. As for the Vodka Sauce Pasta, it didn't taste the same as before. This time it tasted bland as if it had plain marinara sauce only. Slightly disppointed about that, hence, 4 stars! I don't know when I'll be back to La Canada Flintridge as I'm usually not in the area frequently. When I do visit again, I'll have to try their other pizza flavors and pasta plus chicken wings. Thanks Fresh Brothers!
