Normally have a good experience. This one wasn't so good. They said 45 minutes. It took an hour and a half. The food was cold by the time it got here. The wing dings were more like wing bits.... smallest wings I've ever seen. They were very gristly too. There was a ton of mozzarella in the calzone but only a dab of ricotta. Well we I went on a trip to visit the Zombie Capital of the US, Monroeville Pa and decided to try this pizza place since it delivered to our hotel. We got a 14inch ultimate meat and a cheesy bread. The cheesy bread is very good and I am a cheesy bread Nazi! This place added cheese then added Parmesan cheese which is nice, most places will not do that. Then the pizza sauce is cold, the way it was meant to be for VERY hot bread!! I usually hate meat pizzas, cause I am not a Bacon fan on pizza, But this place some how does it right. Wanted a great pizza for delivery while traveling and this place is excellent. The delivery was within 20 minutes from my call to once I placed the order. Friendly greeting when I called and was told the delivery would be in 45 minutes. 20 minutes later it was delivered to my hotel by a friendly face. I don't know what has been up with this pizza place lately. They are very inconsistent in their food. Sometimes it is absolutely amazing and then others, well it leaves a lot to be desired. Tonight I ordered the Bacon Cheese Fries, because it sounded amazing. I got a decent serving of fries and there was plenty of bacon and cheese however the fries were very mushy. They were warm but tasted like maybe they hadn't been cooked long enough or something. They just weren't all that great. My calzone that I ordered was way over cooked with very little ricotta cheese. I like the fact that you can order online with this restaurant but don't expect a estimated delivery time. Also I feel that it took an extraordinary amount of time to have my food delivered as I only live a few minutes away from the restaurant. Not sure if I'll be ordering from here anymore or not. I so want to like this place. When they're on their game, this might be one of the best pizza delivery options I've ever had. Unfortunately, they seem to suffer from a tremendous lack of consistency. Out of about 10 orders from here, at least 30% have been delivered wrong. About 60% of the time the food has been cold to the point it needed to be reheated. I've also had to call the store on two separate occasions to see if my order was ever coming (after 1.5 hours). On a positive note, the online ordering system works well. Their signature pizza "the Marsala" can be really good if made right and delivered promptly. Stay away from their wings though. Very small wing-like imitations of chicken (they must get Cornish game hen wings?). The sauces have no flavor either. Or, then again, maybe when I got them, they were having an off night... I really debated on 2 or 3 stars. Pizza was decent but had close to no sauce. Their "Hot Pepper Bites" are breaded pepper jack cheese cubes. Albeit, they were good but only when they were hot. Jalapeño poppers were a bit too mushy and didn't taste very fresh. I know what you're thinking; "boy, that's a lot of different things." Back off! I had per diem left and needed to use it! Excellent experience this time around. Ordered pizza, cheese and broccoli bites, and breaded mushrooms. I also inquired about the free breadsticks advertised on heir menu, since I spent over $20- got those too. The man who took my phone order was extremely pleasant and repeated back my order exactly as I ordered. I asked him if the Broccoli bites have bacon bits in them since I thought that I remembered them having some last time and don't care for bacon bits. He told me there was no bacon in them but when I got them, he was wrong, which was the only reason I left off a star. I was told my food would arrive within 45 minutes and it was here within the half hour. As many times as I have ordered from here, I can honestly say I have never gotten food that fast. The delivery guy was friendly and efficient. Very satisfied and hope these experiences with PM continue since we love the food so much! read more

I just ordered a white pizza and it is well done. Not as in good but it is a burnt pizza with cheese on it! You order one of Pizza Marsala's specialty pizzas and it is perfect (which I have done five times and all of them were fantastic), but you order something so simple and it is trash!!! You need higher standards and train your employees with high standards as well!!! So disappointed. read more

The sauce was bland, the ingredients low quality (some of the most disappointing pepperoni ever) the crust was unexceptional though largely inoffensive - which is the best thing I have to say about this place. The wings I got were greasy - not normal greasy, something-is-wrong greasy - and the scantily used seasoning was not good. The cobbled together excuse of an online ordering system never even sent the order (did get a confirmation email, though. So.) and when called to sort out just where the food was they STILL managed to take over an hour despite it being midday on a non-holiday Monday (one of the most slow times at any pizza place). We order from here about once a month. It's unpredictable. Sometimes the food is decent and sometimes it's terrible. This latest order fell into the second category. Ordered a chicken parm hoagie which was fine but the regular chicken hoagie was mostly bread and covered in red onions. Unfortunately, there's no option on the online ordering app to remove the onions. Also, it took over an hour to get our order of two hoagies. So I have NEVER given a bad review ever, until today.. I was working in MONROEVILLE, and decided to order a pizza. I'm not from the area , so I searched online & found Pizza Marsala. Thought why not.. well let me tell you WHY NOT... I ordered online at 12:39.. I received my pizza at 2:21. I called (2xs) & spoke to the same girl who didn't seem to care at all.. The 1st phone call was an hour after my order, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a problem, she said oh we got really busy, he's on his way. Oh ok, I get it.. it happens right?? So the pizza place according to google is 4 mins away from work.. after 1.5 hours I'm like forget it I don't even want it, so I call back & tell her it's like 1.5 hours I just wanna cancel. Please just refund my card, & she (the same girl) tells me it only been 1 hour & 16 mins. Oh ok I'm like well that's a long time for delivery, just cancel it. She says oh hold on, & I hear her talking to the driver about the pizza needs delivered STAT. She comes back on & says he'll be there he's right down the street. So I ask is the pizza gonna be cold like 1.5 hours is long to wait. She said no it's in a hot bag or whatever you call it. So he finally shows up, & I said to the delivery driver 2 hours is really long time to wait, he said I was busy. Ok it's here let's just eat it. The first thing I did was ask for a large one topping special. They replied that they had one so I ordered two one topping pizzas with an extra topping of feta on one of them. I also ordered breadsticks and a 2 L. They didn't give me a price so when they got to the door asking me to Fork out 45 bucks plus tip I was a little bit surprised. Then I called to ask why I was charged so much and why I didn't receive the discount from the special. I was told that never asked for one. And I was told that feta is a special topping that cost $5. Not only is that ridiculously high of a price, BUT I DIDNT EVEN RECEIVE ANY FETA!!!. The first time I ordered from them they charged me too much on my credit card. I called to get a refund on the amount that they accidentally overcharged me for and they told me that they could not issue me a refund on my card and I would have to apply it to the next order. I'm sitting here getting my kids ready for school eating a piece of leftover pizza from lastnight Tuesday 10-14-14, and I thought to myself even the pizza is good cold. My family and I ordered 2 large pizzas and a order of wings. We ordered online and came in to pick it up. Now we have been there before and we alwats love coming in on a Tuesday because of the ladies there. They are normally fun and laughing, but something seemed off. I don't know if they were fighting with each other or what. You could tell by the body language. We absolutely love your food and wouldn't go anywhere else. You pizza marsala are our choice of food. I was just reading some of the reviews on here and the people who bad mouth Pizza Marsala should be ashamed of themselves. You obviously have no taste buds. This place has the best food anywhere. I've been to the Irwin and Greensburg store also and it all have been wonderful but there is just something about Pizza Marsala Monroevilles food that shines. The pastas are one of my favorites. The Tuscan Chicken pasta or pizza and or hoagie are my all time favorite!! I've never had a pizza, hoagie or pasta taste so good in my life! Those are my favorite but the food there ALL the food there is just absolutely amazing. I love going into the store and seeing all the people there. They are all so nice!! I love seeing how well they get along. I like going into places to see people smiling and laughing. Makes people like me know they like there job so therefore we know we are going to get good food. Some people that don't like there job, you can tell in the way the food taste. That is NOT the case with Pizza Marsala Monroeville! I wish I could give you guys more than 5 stars. Good afternoon!!!! I would like to take this time to tell you how my family and myself absolutely love pizza Marsala. The people I work with over at CVS, we order from you guys all the time. However, I personally prefer to order at night. You can tell a difference in who is cooking the food. The lady who works at night definitely knows how to make our food taste wonderful! Every time my family and I order I am very satisfied when we order at night. She is very nice, very kind, and very polite. The older gentleman that works at night with her is very nice as well. Our pizzas are always good. The lady who works in the morning however, can be rude, and sometimes miserable, I try to have someone else I work with order the food during the day because I would prefer not to talk to her. My question is, why is there a young kid there during the day? Is that her child? I personally think a pizza shop with sharp objects and heavy objects is no place for a child. Pizza Marsala will as long as I am on this earth keep getting my business, but it will ONLY be at night time when I know my food is going to be made right without any mistakes and I know I will get talked to nicely.
