Went in with my Other 1/2 to the Hookset location. They seemed to be well-staffed, but there was a lack of indoor dining so we had to wait 20 mins or so, I ordered the chicken finger dinner. The portion was large and everything was delicious. My Significant other order the antipasto salad. I must say that was large. Could have easily fed both of us. She got the house dressing so good she made me try it. Staff was quick with the drink refills. Price on the higher side but the portions made up for that. I will go again. read more

A good choice if you want quick delivery and an easy dinner. We order from here at least once every 2 weeks. The pizza is always pretty much the same each time and is decent, though wish the sauce was less acidic. Ordered the Mac and cheese for the first time and it was surprisingly bland. Tasted exactly like boxed velveta and looked like it too. Wished there were bread crumbs on top, maybe I wouldn't have noticed. It's a little pricey but not a terrible place to eat, especially if you're local. If you're not local, I suggest finding someplace else. read more

Aside from the unfriendly host who usually helps me, I love this place! I've ordered delivery from here many times as well as takeout and it always arrives warm and speedily. Usually go for a cheese pie and a tuna sub and have ordered the chicken fingers, fries and onion rings in the past. The California Pizza is one of their best. I have yet to be disappointed with the menu options and the portions here are HUGE! It's great that they have vegan and gluten free options too!! Their online ordering system has a few flaws with regard to the acceptance of their loyalty program coupons but whenever I've called in, they have always taken care of it for me. I suppose the price and value somewhat makes up for the unpleasantness and seemingly annoyed staff but a smile really wouldn't hurt! The food was decent and our server was very nice and wearing a mask as required. However, none of the other employees were wearing masks or gloves. The guy behind the bar had his mask under his chin with people sitting at the bar. We could clearly see in the kitchen that no one was wearing masks or gloves while handling food. The woman at the front counter also did not wear a mask. Kind of a joke that you have to wait outside for the host to bring you inside when it seems only our server was wearing a masks and doing her part. We asked about it and we're told they aren't required to wear masks and it's too hot. Very irresponsible. I'm not sure why this place is always so crowded. The pizza is meh. I had a cheese slice that looked like it had been reheated too many times. Crust was tough and hard to bite through. My husband had a Hawaiian and asked for the cheese to be extra brown. Not only was the cheese barely melted but the whole thing wasn't even hot. Pizza Man is our go to place for ordering delivery. Never a bad experience with service/delivery drivers. Almost always on time and food is served hot and super delicious. My boyfriend and I love their pizzas and sandwiches (BBQ roast beef is my favorite!). read more

Already tried working out this issue with the restaurant (Manager, Lauren, and Owner, MJ). Lauren absolutely gave me the impression she did everything she could. She confirmed the order was entered in wrong. She confirmed I should have been charged 43.27. Said she'd have the owner take care of it the next day (so thanks for looking into it, Lauren). Owner calls me today - with a completely different story. The receipt I signed when picking up my order was for $43.27. Even if she asked me a question - go to answer, she starts talking very loudly over me. So the fact she couldn't be bothered to have an actual conversation and came up with a completely different story than her manager did, and the receipt I signed was $4 less, they're going to lose a loyal customer. Picked up a large cheese pizza for dinner. Lately their pizza has less and less cheese. This time it had very little cheese. They missed several inches near the edge. I've been here at night with my family and I've enjoyed the food. However, the serving staff here is the rudest around. They all have a sour attitude and seem mad that you're even there. I have come here for lunch with my brother twice in the past month, the first time in which we decided to stay despite the unbelievably rude greeting we got by the host or whatever she is. Today, we decided to try it again and the same host gave us a nasty attitude when we asked to sit in a booth. She rolled her eyes and said we could order with her at the counter. I asked if we could get drinks too and she got short with me and said "it's only me and the bartender today! You can order one at the bar and bring it to your table". Let me start by saying that this is a great location for a pizza place. The traffic allows them to be as busy as ever without any effort. This is why they get by with the average food and the sub par service. I've been here multiple times and always build in time to wait. Recently I sat at the bar where a server named Nico had lots of words and opinions to share that were not invited. I was rather dissatisfied with him saying I couldn't save a stool next to me for my father on my brothers birthday. The patron kindly saved the stool regardless of his unwanted comment. Went for dinner last night ordered a cheeseburger sub, when it came I started to eat it and my second bite,I bit right into a 1" piece of metal called the waitress over to tell her what happened I then showed her the piece she had left and came back and stated sorry it broke off the grill brush. Experience was great until I met one of the managers to dispute the price of a large 4 topping pizza! The toppings are all in the same section, some are under "toppings" and some are right underneath with the title "specialty toppings." No where on the menu does it say there is a price difference between the two. It just states that a large 4 topping pizza is 19.95. Needless to say I was a little surprised when I got the bill and I was charged 27.85 for my pizza! When I brought this to my servers attention (who was great by the way) they tried to explain that the specialty toppings were more money. I countered with the fact that there was no explanation of the change of price, to which both of the bartenders realized. He said he would bring it to the managers attention. I could see who he went to talk to, a woman who looked to be in her early 40s. I figured since the conversation was quick that the remedy would result in my favor. I was wrong, the bartender again tried to explain the same, that the specialty toppings were more money. I asked to speak with the woman since no pizza topping is worth almost 8 dollars. I saw him go over and tell her that her presence was needed. I then watched her walk to the other side of the restaurant, as if to dismiss the claim against the restaurant. She finally came over after a few more minutes and tried to pressure the price on us still stating that the topping was "specialty." After explaining that I would never order an eight dollar pizza topping and pushing back that it was never specified that it was an up charge, she rudely stated "now you got your chicken for free!" Which really only came out to be 5 dollars off since my friend joined the loyalty program to save 5 dollars. The bill only dropped 10 dollars total. This was all during her rant about new menus coming, and how they haven't had this problem in the 3 years they've been open. Come to find out the rude woman we were dealing with was one of the owners!! So much for the customer is always right! Side note: when I ordered this "golden" topping, I asked for it to be grilled, it came out breaded and fried. When asked if this was the grilled chicken, I was told yes, that's how it comes! Worst pizza I've had in a while. I generally dislike sweet pizza sauce, and this is overboard. It tastes like there's a pound of sugar in it. We ordered a pepperoni and cheese pizza here because it was convenient on my way to work. There were maybe 5 pepperonis and the cheese was very sparse. I had about half a piece before I decided it was a waste of my money. At $22 for a large pizza, I can drive out of my way down to the West side and get a better pizza there. read more

This place is proof that if you have good pizza and a good location it doesn't matter how much you charge or how AWFUL your service is. Here's how our lunch went this week. We ordered at the counter and told the girl working the counter we'd sit outside. We ordered a large white pizza, steak tip salad and mozzarella sticks. We ordered 2 drinks and asked for a round of waters for my family. The girl said she'd bring a pitcher right out. The check was over $50. Its a bit pricey for a pizza joint. We sat outside and waited 20 minutes. No water. The food showed up so I went on a hunt for water. It's at this point I met the most miserable and rude bartender on earth. Snapped at me that they were busy and it was only two of them. I apologized for some reason and said it's ok, I'll bring the waters out. She rolls her eyes at me. Throws the water and some cups down and shuffles off acting like I just inconvenienced her to a point she may not recover from. It's noon on a Friday. Why are there only two people there? Why is it MY fault I wanted water? Why do they have a bartender with the personality of a rattle snake? I spent over $50 for one pizza and two appetizers and got treated like garbage. The problem is it's not an isolated incident. This is like the 5th strike with this place. My wife and I vowed to never come back. I would've had a better afternoon if I ate microwaved pizza and set $50 on fire while my son kicked me in the gumballs. read more

Unfortunately terrible service ruined what otherwise would have been a positive review. Beautiful restaurant, as it doesn't have the fast food feel that many area pizza places do. The pizza was fantastic. Sadly, the server was abysmal and very inattentive which was really too bad. The one other factor that brought this review from a 3 to a 2 star review was the fact that they up-charge you 95 cents for anything other than house dressing if you order a side salad. I've been there several times now and not one time did I have a waitress act like she wanted me to be there, and I'm an inconvenience just being there. They have always been rude and the most recent and last time I will go there they didn't give me the right bread as I need gluten free and instead of just switching the bread they said I needed to buy a whole new sandwich.. When literally all I needed was a new role and said I was happy to pay more for a new role. Her response was that they repeat it to me and I should have noticed it was wrong then. This was the first time I've ordered delivery in about 5 years & it was well worth it! The bbq chicken pizza was delicious! Perfectly done in every way and delivered nice & hot. They quoted the delivery time almost to the minute, he actually arrived a few minutes early! Next time, I'll skip the spicy fries and stick with the standard french fries.
