This place takes you back to being a kid! Order from the booth via telephones. Amazing service and even better pizza. Good came out hot and fast! Lots of seating including plenty of booths. We have been here several over the years and the place is always clean and have had great service. The Royal Feast pizza and half baked breadsticks are our go to menu items. Add some Parmesan cheese on your pizza and you will be in for a great lunch or dinner but expect to pay a bit more than most pizza restaurants. read more

I love Pizza King. Haven't been to this location a lot but my granddaughters love using the phone system and watching the cooks make their food. We had a couple pizzas. And of course breadsticks. Everything was delicious. Baked ham bar-b-q is so good. We also had a royal feast. The service is a little tough for refill drinks but they try hard. Well I hate to say this but after being a Hoosier native & PK lover all my life (as in it was the first restaurant our family would stop to dine at when we returned home for visits!), I'm leaving a negative review for y'all! . Now I know I'm older now , and things change but this is the third strike for this pizza king. As my aging mother lives in town , we prefer to stay close to get home for our Indiana fave, but after living in New Castle & Anderson (visiting most every PK in our local area) I will be driving out of town for this "Royal feast" , or ANY pizza or Breadsticks. In Anderson - Broadway & 38th/Madison have rarely let me down so thank you from a MHHS grad!! And New castle had its ups downs but " Top Hat 2" was great / " to the edge" held true. First of all our server in Pendleton "Sarah" was nice , fast , attentive. She did great ! & nothing against her customer service. Food was made fresh BUT, each time we order a pizza at this location toppings are less& less ? and the price is going up so shrink-flation, is so clear. Mom was most disappointed in her sub too:( Also I see they are hiring but at 330 -4 pm there were more staff (6 ppl) than guests- (4) yet they refused to let us (a table of 2 )buy a 2-liter cold Coke to drink as our beverage! Now I'm not sure the reason? I guess it's for "carry out" only.. but no sign on cooler, we bought a pitcher for $3.99 with 2 glasses and took some partly flat cola home in to-go cups! I Guess next time i will just bring my own drink. The manager was asked by our server when I ordered from table if we could buy 2 liter and then told us she was sorry but Manager said "no" we had to order drinks off menu. Maybe I'm one of few frugal people in Pendleton but my Mom is on fixed budget and likes to take pop home. Sorry for Rant but I thought y'all should know. Epic fail on Customer satisfaction. It should be a known fact that to many small towns in Indiana, Pizza King is a way of life. It's not cheap, but always worth it. What can I say I A sucker for nostalgic joints. I grew up spending every summer in Indiana visiting my family. I looked forward to getting a Royal Feast with BBQ sauce. While in Pendelton, I decided that a Royal Feast was in order. After many years of not having a Pizza King pizza, I was so happy to bite into the Royal Feast. We had missed our regular "pizza day" and needed to get our fix. Although we are originally from the greater Indy area we've certainly heard from numerous people about their love affair with Pizza King. We checked Yelp and the Pendleton, Indiana location was close...and rated very highly in Yelp reviews. We were not disappointed. Pizza King has that unique "call from the phone at your table" set up and a comfortable, cozy family pizzeria atmosphere. We got an order of their "world famous, made from scratch, fan-favorite" bread sticks. Okay...so the claim is a bit outrageous, but the bread sticks were pretty decent. I'd definitely get them again. We also ordered a 10" regular crust pizza with our usual toppings. Honestly....it was a great pizza! When we first moved to the area I had a bit of a problem accepting the concept of pepperoni that looked like bacon bits, but I've apparently gotten over it. :-) The young ladies working at this location were pleasant and very conscientious. We will definitely be back. P.S. The "crispy" chocolate chip cookie I bought at the register on my way out was an added treat. read more

Pizza king is a very tasty and unique pizza that you can't find anywhere else. I live in Florida and my wife always brought up memories of pizza king and how good it is. Well I finally came up to Indiana and within a span of four days we had pizza king twice. Both days the pizza was fantastic. We ate the pepperoni pizza which is super finely cut and not something you typically see on pizza with bacon. This pizza is a definite must try if you're in the area. read more

We have neen waiting an hour for our pizza with 4 other families in the dining room. Twonotjer families have walked in. Their excuse is they got slammed but they didn't. My best friend and I grew up and Pendleton and we go here whenever he is in town. He lives out of state and we both grew eating their pizza. Today 6/13/2021 we were supposed to meet there for a late lunch since he was travel through the area. He called me right before I got there to tell me that when he walked in everybody working acknowledged him and there was a group sitting in the middle of the restaurant. When he sat down he waitress told him very loudly that they were having a graduation party and he would have to leave immediately because they were at capacity which was impossible considering there was nobody sitting at any of the booths. She did not even offer to let him order something to go. There was no reason for the waitress to humiliate my friend like that. I still live in the area and so does a lot of my family members. After this nine of us will ever go here again. It only takes one bad waitress and a manager not paying attention to ruin your business. You wish I could give them zero stars! read more

let me start by saying that we ate at the pizza king in Pendleton tonight waitress came and took our order very quick but we didn't receive our food very quick. The waitress tried to bring out a 16" pizza that was wrong not what either party with us ordered. She took the wrong pizza back to the kitchen, brought the tickets back out and said I'm really sorry but they messed both of these orders up. She said let me have them redo this for you...so she brought out the messed up pizza for us to munch on while we waited for the right pizza to come out-very nice. So forward to paying...my bill seemed a little high. I questioned if that was right? The girl ringing me out was very persistent that it was. I had my phone calculator up and was punching in the totals as to what we ordered. Line is forming behind me I feel like it's whatever they are busy with pick-ups and people trying to pay at the moment and just paid for it. Went out to my car where I could think and take my time. And guess what it was WRONG!!! So all the eye rolling that was being done as I was trying to check back fired on the girl at the register. I hope she feels real dumb after she had to void my transaction in front of her co-workers after I'm sure she talked mad crap about me after I left. Thanks but I'll take my money back!
