Nice local bar with a home town feel in Anderson. I think what stood out to me about this place is everyone was very nice and it really seemed like everyone knew everyone. Even though it was my first time there it felt warm and welcoming. The server was the only one there and her attitude was 10/10. Dawn was her name and I tell you, she handled that place and had such an amazing attitude. I've seen servers with less tables have terrible attitudes! The pizza is very good. I placed a carry out order for a chef salad and a medium pizza. Chef salad was delicious! It was loaded with cucumbers, tomatoes, eggs & cheese. I was super excited to try the pizza. My excitement quickly turned into disappointment. First, the pizza was not cut so I had to get my pizza cutter out and cut it before I could try it. I would have been very upset had I not had a pizza cutter handy. The crust was thin and hard. The cheese and toppings were all stuck together & came completely off the crust. The pizza was bland and lacked seasoning. For the $24 I spent, I definitely expected better. The place is in need of a major remodel. Didn't really pay much attention to the tables, but definitely noticed the OLD, dirty, carpeting. Will not be back. read more

Did a pickup order on 7/24/2025. Service was fine. The first thing that I noticed was how heavy my pizza box was, and I was really pleased when I opened it! They definitely covered the works pizza with toppings and did not hold back! The sausage on the pizza really made it for me, very very tasty. I think the next time, I will ask them to bake it a little bit longer since I would've liked the bottom crust to be a little bit more crunchy. The breadsticks were OK, they themselves and not have much flavor, but the dipping sauces were very good and paired well with them. The inside of The Restaurant looks like it hasn't been changed since the early 90s, so it is not much to look at on the inside, but the food more than makes up for it! read more

I have been to the pub side and it is fine. This review is for the annex/restaurant side. I visited at about 2pm on a Monday afternoon. There were two other people inside. The first thing that I noticed was the string smell of cooked pizza dough coming from the kitchen. One of the challenges of being a good pizza place is that the whole place smells like pizza. We were promptly seated and our orders were taken quickly. The ham and cheese and personal pizza were outstanding. The food has always been good here. That being said, the strip mall that it is in is old and almost off-putting. This place and the bar side have been here for a long time. Most of the customers are regulars and older. I would not let that stop you from enjoying it. The whole place does need a deep cleaning and makeover but this doesn't seem like the place that has $20K in cash reserves or is going to take out a huge bank loan to do the updates. I assume that it will keep going as it is until owners or those that inherit it retire. I have always had good service and good food. The place is just dated, which I am a-ok with! read more

This pizza place was recommended from a friend. It is small and family friendly. When I walked in, at 1st glance, the place could have been a little more tidy. I was confused as to whether to seat myself, but when I asked, they were very helpful. On to the good part. I felt like I had the friendliest waiter I could have ever had. He was very polite and made us feel very comfortable. I ordered garlic bread and pizza. Within 10 minutes, I was served both. They were both straight out of the oven and very good. The pizza toppings were piled on thick (just how I like it). For some odd reason, even the Diet Coke tasted very good! I would go back the next time I'm in the area. read more

Scampy's is an alright establishment. It has some good pizza, pretty good restrooms, and ok customer service. Although their breadsticks are dry but pretty good. They even stated it themselves that it was dry. Overall I recommend going there but they could be a little bit better. But I'd still would go there every once in a while. We have tried every pizza place in town, Scampys is the best. We get a pepperoni pizza every few weeks from here and it never fails. Their pretzel sticks, roast beef sandwiches, and alfredo sauce are top notch as well. The ambience is warm and friendly. The staff are fun and kind. Up-front, the pizza was great. I got the deluxe. Service was unassuming and polite, and kept us well-watered. Stayed out of the way otherwise until we left, and seemed keenly aware of our needs from a distance. Looking at the menu, it's inexpensive and I definitely felt like we got our money's worth with change to spare. What a great surprise. We left Anderson years ago and used to go to Scampy's. We are so glad we tried it on our visit here...it is as good as we remember and the folks at the restaurant were friendly and welcomed us back. My favorite Italian place in central Indiana!!Scampys and arts pizza are both refined tastes. It's on the west side Anderson in the strip mall. The inside is no-frills no-trills. The pizza is Thick and if it's cooked right it's one of the best pizza in town!! There is a bar attached that is a simple neighborhood bar. The breadsticks are unique I enjoyed them. Well im not a regular by any means but thought i'd give this place a shot. I have to say that their pizza looks great and even tastes great im sure... that is if you like cockroaches. After ordering from this restaurant and receiving my pizza it looked delicious and smelled great. While preparing to dig in i noticed an olive moving around. Upon further inspection i found that it wasn't an olive at all. It was in fact free protein!!! It was a north american cockroach which i recognized because it is so common to this region. Nevertheless i try not to make it a habit to eat these little critters. I very politely informed the server who became very defensive and even accused me of contaminating my own pizza... why would i do this? Lmao well you would have to ask the rude staff of this establishment. I would give this establishment a 1 out of 10 for cleanliness not just because of this incident but from what i saw throughout the establishment. I would not recommend this establishment to any of my firends or family and although my experience was terrible i can laugh about how terrible it was because it was so unbelievable but i would say this establishment should be closed down for their cleanliness alone. read more
