Really good pizza! There is one server there, Drew, and he's really trying his best! He gave us exceptional service on a busy Friday lunch. The water even tasted good, seems like they have a good water filter system. Pizza sauce was sweet, which is new to me. Never had a pizza like this before. Really cheesy, and the crust is soft and squishy. The only complaint I have is that they don't have their own ranch. When I asked for ranch, I was handed a dressing packet that could be found with any salad at McDonald's or something. I don't like to eat pizza without ranch, so this was a bit of a bummer for me. We spent the day at Harrahs watching basketball. The reviews looked good so we gave it a try. It was delicious! We got a large buffalo chicken pizza and a large pepperoni and mushroom. I can't decide which I liked better both were really good. The buffalo had a nice kick to it and the other had a great tasting sauce and the cheese was so good. They also use fresh sliced mushrooms which put it over the top. read more

Come for the food, not the service. Once you manage to order, the food comes out relatively quick. We had the Around the World pizza and it was delicious. The crust has a tine bit of crunch on the edge, but is relatively thin, so not a huge amount of bread... More toppings than bread, which I like. We also tried a mini Spaghetti and meatball pizza... well because you just gotta try it, but don't really want to committ your entire dinner to such a thing. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The tomato sauce on this is nice a fresh tasting, the spagetti take a little getting used to because they kinda throw off the consistency of the pizza, and the meatballs are more or less chunks of sausage... all in all very tasty. It's my friend's favorite pizza place in town and I can see why. read more

I love this place ! Not only do they have amazing pizzas, sandwiches ,salads and appetizers but their customer service is outstanding ! I got a pizza today, was heading home and got an emergency call from a friend. I had to go help with a situation. It was around 90 degrees out and I ended up having to leave my pizza in the hot car in the sun for almost 2 hours. Ugh. I called them to ask if they thought it was still safe to eat. They said they didn't want me to take a chance on eating it and if I bring it back they will make me a new one at no cost!! What! Who does that??? It was my fault that it got left in my car, they did nothing wrong. Wow! I live 45 min. away so I didn't take it back, but the fact they offered to take care of me in this situation was mind blowing. They have a life long customer in me now, and I highly recommend Arts to anyone looking for a yummy meal. Thank you Arts for your kindness. read more

The only reason I gave Art's a 4 rating is because of the slow service. The food came out fast but getting our waitress attention was a little rough. Not sure if she just didn't want to be there or that was her personality. Anyways.. We ordered the Mac n cheese bites which were very good and the cheese was creamy. Had a good taste!! The house salad was very fresh. The lettuce was crisp. Just wish it had cheese on it.. maybe they forgot it. Our pizza was just about Perfect!! Half cheese/half pepperoni. My kids and I stopped by Arts Pizza yesterday and enjoyed what I would consider, The BEST pizza I have ever had! If I was forced to share a down fall within the experience; It would have to be, how long we sat waiting for our food to come out. If the food had not been exceptional, I would complain way more about the wait. (35 to 40 minutes just seems a bit extensive for waiting for a pizza and Cheesy Garlic Bread.) However, in their defense, I do have two 4-year-olds, and they were extremely hungry and ready to chow down. Also, I do wish the waitress that was working would had been a bit more social. My kids are very outgoing, verbal, and friendly. They were put back and confused a bit by her overly meek and quiet personality. For us, when we go out and dine in at a restaurant, the energy and interaction with the server/waitress /waiter is very important to me. I'm very sensitive to people's energies. She came acrooss as if it was her job to ONLY assist and serve us and this affects me. I don't want to make a server feel like we need or want to much. And at some points she made me feel like we were a nuisance. But all in all I have to give Art's Pizza 5 stars! Thanks again for a wonderful, tasty dinner! read more

Arts has be in business since the 50's. There are two locations in Anderson. We use the one on Scatterfield road in strip mall in front of Walmart. We order a large pizza for the 4 of us to take home. Very good toppings with just the right seasoning. read more

Stopped in here today for lunch and it was absolutely wonderful as it's always been. Very nice clean restaurant and the service was great. I ordered the Italian Roast Beef and onion rings. The Italian Roast Beef is absolutely amazing has a great flavor it has peppers and cheese on it. The onion rings are amazing also I'm a sucker for great onion rings and there's are out of this world. My friend got the buffet and he said it was awesome their pizza is great and everything on the buffet is fresh. If you want to try an absolute gem in the Anderson area that is known to be a great place for great food then you need to stop here. Art's is one of those great hometown places that I always try to visit when I come home. They are famous around town for their Italian roastbeef sandwiches, but I actually have not ever had one... and yes, my family members gasp and try to disown me when they find this out. I just can't ever bring myself to NOT eat the pizza when I'm there. They cut their pizza into rectangular strips... one cut down the middle in one direction, then numerous cuts in the other direction... not the typical triangular wedge slices. We have done take-out and eaten at the restaurant and had a positive experience each time. We once did the lunch buffet... if none of the three pizzas on the cart strike your fancy, you can request a pizza to be made... and they also had spaghetti and a dessert pizza out. I tried their BBQ Chicken Pizza on my most recent visit and I gotta say... I think I found my new favorite thing! Dee-lish! And since this is one of my all-time favorite foods, I'm kinda hard to please when it comes to my BBQ chicken pizzas! Always a good amount of cheese, sauce, and toppings... and I love their crust (e.g., pizzas are hand-tossed, not pan). All in all, this is a great locally-owned restaurant with a casual vibe. I heard good things about Art's and finally got a chance to come in for a pie while I was in town visiting my sister. What a colossal disappointment. We ordered one of their Round the World pizza and, wow, I don't even know where to begin. The mushrooms must have come from a can. They were limp, soggy, and disgusting. The pepperoni were the kind of greasy, flavorless disks you'd expect to buy in bulk at Sam's Club, and the "sausage" looked (and smelled) more like Alpo than Italian sausage. The green peppers were OK, so I guess that's something. Maybe they had a bad night, but I doubt it. This place serves pies with all the care, passion, and attention to detail you'd expect to find at a Little Caesar's...or perhaps a gas station. Just gross. read more

Best Pizza In Anderson Art's has the best pizza in town. Their cheese pizza is the best cheese pizza I have had outside New York City. (You can't beat NYC for cheese pizza.) Their lunch buffet is a real bargain, drink is included in price. Wait staff is friendly. Highly recommended.
