Supreme 12"

The location of this restaurant is about an hour from where I live, so it's a little off the beaten path for me, but some friends recently went there, so we gave it a try. So, this restaurant was one of those places where I was a bit more impressed with the building and the ambience than I was with the pizza. The building itself seems large, considering its rural-ish location. Service was very good, and the interior decor is sort of like an American 50's and 60's nostalgia type of thing. Lots of movie and pop culture memorabilia all over the interior. The pizza was not bad - it just didn't knock me out like I was hoping. I'm a big fan of wood-fired anything, and although the wood-fired oven did give a nice char to the dough, I thought the pizza dough was a bit too thin and could have used a little more yeast and/or rise. But, take that with a grain of salt (figuratively - the actual dough was well-salted). There was nothing at all wrong with this pizza. I'd give it a solid letter grade of "B".

1000 degrees is a fun and unique place to visit for BBQ and over fired pizza. It's a lot off the beaten path but it is worth the visit. There is parking across the street as the unique style building takes over most of the street corner. The outside is a fun collection of farm silos and rustic old buildings. It definitely welcoming! The inside is also fun and unique. There are lots of friendly faces to greet you at the counter to get you going. The interior is dominated by a collection of rooms added together. Each room offers a little dining experience. We ate in the silo. The kids loved all the farm decorations and collectible items. Many of these are eye level and invite smaller kids to interact with these items. Lots of family fun!! On this trip we ordered pizza. Getting the drinks was easy as it is wide open and help-yourself. The table service is all plastic ware so you pick this up as you need them. The cheesy bread was delicious. The edges were crispy and the cheese oozed and was nicely melted. The bread, while delicious, has a slight oily-greasy taste. The supreme pizza was very tasty. The crust was soft of ten interior with a crispier well baked outside. The dough was tasty and had a slight sweet taste. The pizza doesn't have tons of toppings. There was enough to remind you of the type of pizza you selected. All items were fresh to taste. Make an effort to go out of your way to visit 1000 degrees!

The vibe was a 5, and the pizza was a 3. Do the math and the average is a 4. For a small town that's a win. So definitely stop by if you happen to be way out that way, but don't make a special trip. The crust tastes like Blaze pizza. The rest of it is greasier than most. The flavor is decent. Not sure if it's worth the price paid, but hey give it a go. Next time I'm out that way I may try the confused restaurant across the street that serves American, Mexican, and Indian food. I'm curious at how Nowhereville does that.

Mind blown. I travel for work, and have eaten pizza everywhere, but this place is the best pizza I have had by far. In fact, I drove an hour and a half just for lunch. The pizza is amazing. The staff is so friendly and the decor is awesome. Such a cool place with that wholesome small town feel. I think Dave Portnoy would give this a solid 10.

Ventured over to Mt Summit to try this place that I hear everyone raving about. Before you walk in door you are hit with a wonderful smoke smell. The decor in the restaurant is quite unique and cool. We ended up getting an Hawaiian and Carnivore. The Hawaiian excellent balance of sauce and toppings. The toppings on the Carnivore were delicious onto themselves but the combo of all the different meats cracked my brain out bit (pork, beef, chicken, lamb). The crust on both were light and fluffy. This is more aloud knife and fork pizza. We also got an order of Asian bbq wings which were just perfect combine of sweet, spicy, and smoky. A unique place for sure with lots of choices between bbq and pizza.

The service is remarkable and the food is second to none. Everything is delicious. Decorated is a sports, antique car, pizza theme with 50-60's music playing. By 5:00 the dining room was starting to fill up, it's not fast food it's excellent food!

This place reminded me of "The Silo" outside of Chicago. Its design brought back good memories. We ordered breadsticks. They were covered with butter, garlic, and parsley. Also ordered Cheesy breadsticks. Cheese was melting off the sticks. We ordered deep dish supreme, without mushrooms, The menus are on wall as one enters. Then you order at the register. Dessert is available. You can also purchase honey from a farm in Farmland. Wait was short. All items were served hot and dough crispy. Nice surprise. Best pizza ever. Thank you.

Wow! The veggie pizza might be the best pizza I have ever had!! Thin crust and perfectly cooked. There were big pieces of tomato on top and it was just the right amount of cheese. When you walk in the door, you immediately smell wood smoke. You find a table, decide on what you want and head back to the front to place your order. I wasn't expecting anything special but I was dead wrong! Yum! It is a big place! I loved the decorations. Lots of old vintage toys. There is a big parking lot across the street which is good because the parking in front of the restaurant was full. I can't wait to go back and try the lunch special. It is a great place to stop after a day at Summit Lake. I would give six stars if I could!!

Great spot in a tiny town near our campsite. The pizza is delicious with a nice wood char on the crust. They also have BBQ they smoke themselves and a variety of yummy looking treats. The atmosphere is really fun filled with vintage items and old arcade games ($.50 a pop). Not too far from New Castle so it would make a nice afternoon drive in the country.

This is a great place for pizza. The atmosphere is wonderful. You can smell the wood from the wood fire grill. They do have pizzas for gluten-free, however, if you are going to order a gluten-free pizza, you need to make sure you have a big bank account. The service is so so and you should be ready to wait for a while. So, if you're hungry, you might want to stop someplace first and get a snack. Again, though, the pizza is really good here.

Waiting in line

If you like bar pizza, this is your jam. Nothing spectacular. You wait in line to order and then go have a seat and wait 20 minutes minimum to get some breadsticks. About 30 minutes after that, you get your pizza. The decor is cool but that was the highlight of this place. Not sure what all the hype is unless these people have never eaten good pizza.

My husband asked for a fathers's day adventure to try out 1000 degrees. Overall, great pizza! Dough was good, sauce was not overpowering and a great foundation. Toppings were generous and flavorful. It was a bit of a drive from Indy but it was a great little adventure with some good food and great service.

I called ahead and ordered a cauliflower crust veggie pizza and a medium salad. (I am currently low carbing it. ) I love the large sun dried tomatoes on their veggie pizza!! The food was ready when we got there. The portions were generous, and my mom and I were able to split a medium salad and a pizza, and it was plenty for two. Fun decor to stare at while you eat. Good parking area diagonal across the street.

Expensive, but delicious. Recently sampled the cheesecake as a potential wedding option and it was so good!

Mancino's Pizza & Grinders

We had a group of 6 and came in on a Saturday evening…read more The pizza was good - the crust was a bit doughy but the cheese and sauce were good, and the toppings were plentiful. The bread appetizer was good, but a bit of a duplicate of the doughy crust. One of our party who wasn't in a pizza mood ordered a grinder and gave a "meh" review to it. There was a huge private party and we were seated near the door - it kept opening - then loud music and lots of noise - then the private party door closed. It happened ~50 times during our meal, and was a bit disruptive to conversation. In hindsight, I would have found seating away from that door.

Let me start by saying that I love Mancino's. The food is always delicious, and as far as taste…read moregoes, tonight was not an exception. I waffled between 3 and 4 stars tonight, because while the pizza tastes good, it's not what I ordered. I ordered a build your own 12" sausage, pepperoni and mushroom pizza with extra cheese and 2 garlic sauces for pick up. It was ready when I arrived and the two sauces I added were in the box. I got home and we dug in only to discover that the pizza was missing the sausage. It was definitely a bummer, since we usually get grinders or pasta, and this was our first Mancino's pizza. It won't stop us from coming back, but if I order pizza again, I'll definitely be peeking under the cheese before I leave.
