The crust on the pizzas was superb but the toppings aren't as good. The Philly Cheesesteak side was so so. I was surprised they used a marinara sauce instead of an Alfredo type sauce. My wife ordered the margarita pizza and she enjoyed it. Atmosphere was perfect. First thing we tried was the bread, wasn't a big fan. It lacked any real flavor but the texture and crunch were great. Now that I'm retired and living in Bryan, TX, I've been on the hunt for anything close to authentic New York-style pizza. By pure luck, we stumbled into Champion Pizza at 2008 Texas Ave S, College Station, TX 77840 -- and what a find. Only afterward did we learn that the owner and founder runs several pizza shops in New York and brought that same craft down here to Texas. Suddenly it all made sense. The crust, the sauce, the fold... it's the real deal. It tasted like home. I absolutely love it, and I tip my hat to the team working there. We were genuinely fortunate to walk into the right place at the right time. So if you want the closes thing to NY style pizza, come to this place.

Every question we asked her, she was short and rude. I asked her the difference in the size of a large or a small and she told me the oz difference instead of showing me the portion size. If she's the manager or owner, shame on her! We came from Houston with plans to eat at this restaurant specifically. VERY disappointing but now I see new owners bought it a few years ago so it makes sense why we were treated so horribly. If that woman is a manager, she surely doesn't need to be! It's a shack in the country that is still expensive as we spent $75 dollars! No one deserves to be treated like this ever. And if you're closing the grill at 8:30 don't keep the restaurant open until 9:00! It makes no sense to allow people to come inside to be told the grill is closing.
