I was craving Fazoli's back on Sunday(march 29, 2026) I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce(I wanted spaghetti with meatballs but it was an extra $2 which I didn't see it on board) the older lady I didn't get her name was extremely rude to me when I got my cup to get a drink(Pepsi zero) the drink that I selected was out as soon I went to the counter she brought me my food and completely ignored me seconds later, I told her about the Pepsi zero being out and she rudely told me it was full(which I knew that was a lie she just said that in order to get me off her back) as soon as I got my food I felt a metallic taste in my mouth I didn't think nothing of it until early Monday morning when I almost threw up right now I'm still feeling the urge to throw up due to the food that I ate. I was craving for some pasta so when I looked up pasta places in College Station, Fazoli's showed up. Jordan mentioned he ate there a long time ago, so we decided to order there because his description was, "A cheaper Olive Garden." The prices were definitely right! We made an online order for a Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, Small Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, and a Whole Pepperoni Pizza. We also then ordered a Strawberry New York Cheesecake while we were there. I am a big fan of Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo--I'd order Alfredo-anything when we visit pasta places. However, the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was a bit of a disappointment. The noodles were bigger than normal and the texture was different--overcooked, possibly? The chicken was also overcooked. I didn't even finish my portion, which would typically be so easy for me. The Small Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, on the other hand, was quite delicious. It tasted and looked like how it should. The pizza was very different. I didn't really enjoy it because it was a bit too greasy for my taste. Heating up leftover pizzas still wasn't great either. As for the service, we came there thinking we'd have to pick up in-store, but the doors were locked so we had to go through drive-thru. It would be nice to have a little note when ordering online about closing the restaurant at x time but the drive-thru will still be open. The little interaction we had with the staff member at the window was decent--he was nice and quite generous. Let me start by saying I L O V E FAZOLI'S! I grew up going to it as a kid in Louisiana. When it closed I was devastated, but then I found one when I moved to Houston, only for it to shutdown as well. I've visited friends in CSTAT so many times and never had a chance to stop by Fazoli's, however this last visit I made it my number one priority. My friends and I pulled up for an early lunch at about 11:15. We had the place to ourselves for a short while. We all ordered different dishes and a medium drink, but each paid less than $10. I got sweet tea as my drink which wasn't up to my sweet tea standards, but I was not deterred. We sat down in a booth and our dishes were out fairly quickly. (Social distancing is enforced when you order and in the dining area, which only allows sitting at every other table). I got the baked spaghetti, which was a solid meal. I ate about half of it and took the rest home for left overs. Why did I only eat half of my meal you ask? One word: breadsticks. Those breadsticks are a literal gift from God. They are the perfect amount of butter, salt, garlic and bread. There super soft and not over cooked and way better than Olive Garden in my opinion. You can get unlimited breadsticks when you dine in. In the center are plastic utensils, drink dispenser, napkins, parmesan, and red pepper. Very fast food-like set-up. The food (spaghetti and meatballs and side salad) was a good portion. A full serving (as in 2 oz, NOT jumbo-American-sized) of spaghetti in the right amount of red sauce, and three normal sized meatballs. I used 2 packets of parmesan to up its appeal. The side salad was a good portion, like more than what Panera serves as a side salad. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. The garlic bread was tasty, but personally, I would have liked it a bit more oven-crisp. They also have this white tea that tasted good as well. Overall, I actually liked the taste and service at Fazoli's. Plus, $3.26 for all that food is such a deal! I will probably come back again for this Thursday special. The consistency of the sauce gave me an impression that the sauce was canned: watery, artificial, and runny. They drench the pasta with sauce to make up for its lack of flavor. The chicken was definitely frozen; pretty easy to tell it wasn't fresh. People say that this place is cheap, but for regular $8 pasta you can definitely find 3x the quality at places like Piada. Additionally, the interior decor needs a makeover. It's old fashioned but it doesn't even feel vintage, just old and dirty. Pretty sad experience :(( read more

We got the baked sampler & some pepperoni breadsticks (meal does come w/2 breadsticks). Restaurant was very clean & the food came out super hot and fresh. Usually I'm not a lasagna/spaghetti fan but the red sauce was so spot on & weirdly to say some of the best I've had & I am picky. Only reason I am giving it 4 VS 5 stars is that the Alfredo sauce was nothing special & was truly where the meal was lacking. Will be sure to stop back next time we are this way. read more

AMENDMENT - Within 20 minutes of this review, the Owner Mike F. contacted me directly with a truly sincere apology. I was amazed! Despite the problem, the service at which it was handled was impressive. I would have expected a dismissal or a "kiss off" type of apology, but I would have been wrong. Although this is going to stay a single star review, I want this amendment to be at the top. Disgusting! This has never been a BAD place to eat, but far from a great restaurant. However, my experience today was the most disgusting I've ever had here and I will never go back now that I know how they run their kitchen. My family and I went inside to eat and while we were at the register a man came out from the kitchen. He was wearing a dirty "wife-beater" undershirt with his work shirt thrown over his shoulder. My initial thought was that hopefully he just got off work and he took of his shirt. This is still a huge no-no, but could have been a far less nasty infraction. But then I noticed his name badge pinned to his undershirt. This means that he's had his shirt off for a while! So here's this guy wearing a nasty looking wife-beater, sweaty as all get out, he has grime on his hands and in his fingernails (no, I'm not exaggerating at all!). The fact that he is wearing a "Castrol" hat completed the look of an auto mechanic. Okay, auto mechanic. Maybe he doesn't actually work in the kitchen where the food is. Maybe he works in the back and has been working on some machine. But I ask the guy at the register what that guy does (after he'd left the building, of course) and he said he worked in the kitchen. Had a very bad experience with the manager and with all the staffs working a Fazoli's. I asked him if I could get my pasta in a different container since I was on my bike they refused me. I asked to talk to the manager the manager didn't do anything about it he was just arguing with me it was a simple can you put it in a different container since I'm on the bike and I didn't want the circle container that they serve their pasta is in to go to break on me when I am riding my bike I ask them if they can put in a foil oval container he was giving me a hard time which stopped the backup line for 10 minutes. Their menu says that all numbered meal deals come with breadsticks, but with certain meal deals you have to actually specify that you want the breadsticks in order to get them. What an underhanded scam! Just include the dang breadsticks! Doing so would alleviate frustration for people who don't know this special rule, and breadsticks probably cost the restaurant next to nothing. We have ordered from Fazoli's many times and it has always been worth what we pay. However today we had an encounter that was very disheartening. When we arrived at the drive through no one was attending to it (we waited for some time). That was not a big deal to us so we decided to drive up to the window. An employee that was a young girl opened the window and very rudely asked us what we wanted. We were surprised because we had greeted her with a polite explanation as to why we drove up to the window and a smile. When we told her that we wanted the Thursday deal but vegetarian she proceeded to rudely ask what does that mean? I'm assuming as an employee she should know the menu. We tried to explain but she continued to ask us questions rudely, correcting us when we misspoke (mostly because of the shock and nervousness we felt because we didn't understand why she was being so rude). Normally I do not complain and I always try to understand that sometimes people have bad days but this was beyond what we could accept. I understand customers aren't always right and they don't need to be, but I just don't understand why we were treated like that when we were speaking in a kind tone.
