This location has really stepped up its game! What a change since we went a year ago, which was the only time we had been. We thought we would try it again since they had a 50% off special. The place looks like for carry out only and deliveries. There were a lot of carry outs as we left around 7pm. Everyone inside was extremely friendly and pleasant. The stuffed crust is just how I remember it a good decade ago, cheese deliciousness. This location is truly different compared to others in the area. I walked into order a pizza and within 2 minutes I fled! There were several older men who were speaking at the top of their lungs to others in the back. I ordered my pizza and as I watched it being made NO one had on gloves. When I asked the man why no gloves were worn, he said" They wash their hands". I stated No one washed their hands and the younger man making my pizza just wiped his hands on the sides of his shorts!!!! While we've had decent experiences from this Pizza Hut location before, tonight's experience is enough to go elsewhere in the future. We started with an online order, and were given a 25-35 minute window for delivery. 45 minutes later, our order arrived. When we opened the boxes, we discovered that our pizza was on the wrong crust (thin instead of hand-tossed) and the crust was rock hard. I called the store and was transferred to a call center. The representative who answered (after a wait) told me "they always mess it up" and offered to re-order the pizza. I asked when it would arrive and was told 20-30 minutes. I asked if we could be oven a refund or discount on a future order and was told that wasn't possible since they're re-making the pizza. 55 minutes later, our second pizza arrived. Unfortunately, it was worse than the first pizza. While the crust was different, the pizza was somehow thin, limp, and burnt all at the same time. Ordered a pick deal and when I got there it took over 10 min for anyone to even greet me, loud rap music playing so nobody could really even hear me and I saw one of the employees vape INSIDE before going to get my pizza and did not even wash their hands afterwards as if vaping inside wasn't enough. I got home and my pizza was not fully cooked and was missing half my stuff but didn't feel like driving the 15 minutes back. Called the customer service line and they were no help at all! Had our pizza delivered December 23rd. The delivery drivers car leaked a significant amount of oil on our driveway. I called the store a few times to see how they handle such a situation. We love Pizza Hut, but from now on we order Papa Johns. The quality of food here is awful. Messy pizzas, cheese falling off the pizza, sometimes slices are cut lazily or not at all. One time they messed up our order. We called to have them fix it. Waited another 45 mins and the 2nd pizza they delivered was wrong too. Ended up throwing them both in the trash. Seriously, how do you mess up pizza? I'm not asking for a gourmet meal, just follow basic instructions. Pizza Hut recently opened up in Waukee. I decided to order pizza and wings for carry out via online. Once I arrived to the restaurant the waiting process was seamless and fast. I got home and started to indulge into the great pizza I expect from Pizza Hut. As I got to wings I noticed the first drum's meat was slightly pink. Saturday night before Super Bowl, I log onto Pizza Hut's website to order a large supreme pizza and dessert sticks. The time is 7:21. I didn't notice that our delivery could be expected at 8:51. So we wait, and wait, and wait....8:51 comes and goes. By 8:55 we are calling and Jordan explains that because they anticipate being busy on Super Bowl Sunday they have sent all their drivers home but we should see our food in 5 minutes. And, he said, if you have to call again, it will be free. We wait 5 more minutes and call again. Told once again, it will be another wait but they will give us 45% off. Online order was easy. Delivery guy was on time and professional. That's the extent of the good. I've never seen hand-tossed crust so thin. It looked like they ran it over after it was cooked. The marinara sauce was jammed into the breadsticks, so the containers were completely covered in grease, and the sticks were all smashed. On top of that, the marinara literally had the consistency of slightly chunky water. You would have had better luck pouring it on instead of trying to dip anything in it (I threw mind away). There's a REALLY good Domino's down the road on Hickman in Clive that has a similar delivery area. Just save yourself the disappointment and order there instead folks. read more

Worst ever. We used to like Pizza Hut pizza and hadn't had it for a while so decided to try it again. Ordered online which was easy. We were able to select our delivery time, which was over 2 hrs in the future. However the pizza arrived 15 minutes later than requested, (we live less than 5 minutes away). And the worst was that the pizza was COLD, also had requested extra sauce and there didn't appear to be any. The pizza looked like it had been sitting around for several hours. Comparatively speaking the two locations I was forced to use at the time had the worst quality of Pizza Hut Pizza I ever had. Had an issue back in December 2016 on a delivery which took an hour longer than it was supposed to. So the store gave me a $15 credit on my next order. So not being too eager to do business with them again anytime soon, I did not order another pizza until this past week and thinking I had $15 coming, seems like I would take advantage of that. So I ordered (or thought I did) 2 pizzas and breadsticks. Ordered for pick up this time. Was only 15 minute wait, which was good! Showed up, and of course, no record of any credit due me! First guy that helped me was very short and reluctant to provide my credit but did in the end. He then brought out my order....1 pizza and breadsticks. I said I had a 1/2 pep/sausage pizza also. Since he was already not happy about this transaction he brought in a young gal who confirmed my order was only for 1 pizza and breadsticks. I know I ordered 2 pizzas, but it never did come over as 2. So I asked how long before I could get my 2nd pizza....here is where it gets fun... ""we are really busy and can't get you one for at least 30-40 minutes". I then said, hold on, I just made an order and it only took 15 minutes for this one to be ready. It takes about 6 minutes in the oven, right? She said, yours will be ready in 30 minutes - followed by a "tough sh!t" type look and "what you going to do about it" body language. I then asked for her name and a phone number of the manager/owner so I could address this issue, and her reply "I am not going to give you anything". So let's just say, if there was a ZERO star option, we would be getting that here. This location is poor for customer service, and agree with the other reviews, ownership needs to change.
