Rosati's Pizza - WDM - Entry way - Pizza Near Me - West Des Moines, Iowa

I'm from Chicago and lived in Vegas for many years. Rosatis has always been my go to for Chicago pizza. We just got a large double dough and it tasted nothing like Rosatis pizza normally does. We've had pizza from this location too and it's always been pretty consistent to what Rosatis is supposed to taste like. Tonight though, no. The sauce, crust were just different. I'm so bummed. read more

Solid pizza- I was confused by the (and don't laugh) option for thin crust or double crust- I always knew arosati's to have a

Popped into Rosati's because it was highly rated online and easy to get to from the interstate. But here's the thing... they guy at the cast register for my pick-up was exceptionally nice. Like, if you told me his last name was Rosati, that would make sense. It was a game day, and he asked me if I was getting food for the game, and I said it was for my dad's birthday, and the dude just lit up, and he said, "Thank you for making Rosati's a part of your dad's day!" He was sincere. Oh, and yeah, the pizza is terrific and their Cannolis were what I needed. I'll be going back, and you should try the place. Maybe that dude who works the front register and cares about his customers will be there. (He had to be a Rosati, right?) read more

Decently good pizza and quick service. Takeout is the primary source for this location

The pizza was excellent and our server did a great job even after being the only wait staff and getting slammed with a bus full of people read more

We have ordered from here a few times now and have had great food each time! We are new to the area and are glad we have found a place for great pizza. Their Chicago style pizzas are tasty and very filling. The dough nuggets are also awesome. The prices may seem high when looking at their menu but the portions are big! read more

Great pizza friendly staff and quick, is definitely homemade crust and is delicious and they do not skimp on topping. My favorite place for pizza! read more

Service at the pickup window was really good. Staff was attentive and honored my coupon. Pizza came out hot (picked it up) but I wasn't a huge fan of the thin crust. It was more of a "cracker" crust which I didn't love personally. Pizza came with lots of toppings so definitely would give it another try. read more

We love Rosati's take away. Always ready on time and easy to order. Chicago style is our favorite. We lived in the Chicago area in the 80's and loved Giordano's, but the local one doesn't make them the same way anymore. Rosati's Chicago style deep dish pizza is fantastic from the crust to to sauce to toppings. Excellent! read more

If you're a pizza fanatic like me. You'll love this place !!! Consistently delicious every time !! Rosatis is one of the top pizza joints in Chicago !! And now they've expanded to many other cities like West Des Moines. Rosatis is the Real Deal !! read more

This store continues to get better. The customer service is on point and of course the pies are wonderful. Nowhere in the Des Moines area do you get sausage topping of this quality! Big chunks vs. the dog food at most pizzarias. read more

Haven't been to any of the locations but in IA yet but this was my go to in Florida and no other pizza joint there could compare.

Best pizza Iowa has to offer!! I live in Illinois & I always come to eat here when visiting family, no other pizza compares. The staff is friendly, efficient & punctual! read more

I ordered an 18" half sausage/half pepperoni thin-crust pizza, cheesy garlic bread, and a full order of boneless wings. The order was $43. The pizza was cooked to perfection. It was a little brown on top. There was a great amount of cheese. The seasoning that was on top of the cheese was awesome too. The sausage and pepperoni were the best quality. The wings I got were 100% better than most pizza places. The mild Buffalo sauce was the perfect amount of spice and they had a decent amount of sauce on them. The ranch and blue cheese are bomb. The cheesy garlic bread had a ton of cheese on it. I've lived in and around Chicago In the past, and ordered Rosati's for years, so I'm happy they are making it in Des Moines with the same quality. Thank you for making our families Sunday so special! The pizza was awesome, the prices were reasonable, and the value is definitely there. The older guy working was pretty nice too. read more

We had a variety of everything, including boneless wings, fettuccine Alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, and garlic cheese bread and all of it was hot and tasted great! We're currently only eating at restaurants that only offer carry out or delivery so I'm very happy to have another available restaurant during COVID. I recommend Rosati's to anyone wanting to enjoy some Italian or wings during COVID! I'll be back for sure and have already sent a friend their way!!! I do wish there was at lea set a small kids menu or smaller portion option on things like spaghetti. read more

First time eating here & we'll definitely be back! We ordered a deep dish pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms & spinach. We loved it! Great customer service, too, as we didn't know it was mostly a take-out business & planned to eat there. They set us up plates, napkins, etc. so we could dine at the counter & the gal who helped us was so friendly and accommodating. read more

Just great pizza. I ordered what another customer who rated this place raved about (Combo and Windy City) and was not disappointed. The toppings were fantastic enough but the crust had a wonderful taste and crunch to it and was truly amazing. read more

The pizza and salad were good. However, when I called and ordered for pickup I asked if there were any specials. The person on the phone said no. When I picked up the order there was a poster on the window saying a free 12" cheese pizza with every 18". When I asked about it at the counter she said ,"You have to ask for it". When I said I did she said your total is $51. Very poor training on the management part. read more

I've been wanting to order from this place for a while, but two things always stop me while "in process": 1) their online system is truly horrible. You can't use a promo code (that's on their coupons, not some internet hack) without logging in and I hate giving info to these types of places, especially a password as I have no clue if they even try to secure their data. 2) the prices are sky high. Now, I am not comparing them to the joke delivery places or gas stations, but more to peers where I expect to pay $17-20 or so for a large thin crust. Well, I decided to call in my order to get around problem number 1 above. Service was excellent and really the woman was great - she clearly repeated back my order and I therefore knew there was no possibility of any snafu, which I very much appreciate. Their timeline was also perfect as I arrived and the pizzas were ready. Where did things go wrong then? Toppings were incredibly light compared to peer establishments in places like Valley Junction or near Jordan Creek, and again I'm not comping this place to a cheap delivery or gas station place. I get that real cheese, real ingredients, and the care to put it together properly matter. For $41 for two pizzas, I don't expect both my dining companion and myself to wonder why the toppings were so light? I don't think I'll order again given the online system is garbage - heck, even when you Google this specific store and try to start an online order the system makes you search by zip code again... it's just aggravating and then the value for money simply isn't there. It's a shame too as the pizza itself is pretty darn good, but so are the pizzas from other places. read more

The pizza is okay. I ordered the thin crust. Not worth the price though. But I'm glad I tried it.

Our family is a iowa transplant from Chicago and we were visiting west desmoines, iowa for a tournament and I'm the boys were in a hankering for some pizza. When we pulled up pizza places we stopped when we saw Rosati's! Anyone who is a native Chicagoan knows that Rosati's is a Chicago staple and one to die for. The best pizza ever. You have to get it cut classic square cut like thw original! We met Mario and Cheryl who were nice enough to come out and say hi since we were eating in that night. Turns out if you eat here you are getting authentic authentic Rosati's Chicago pizza because the owners - and this is the only Rosatis they own- are from the area in the Chicago suburbs of the original Rosatis and have that hard core passion and love for food and their customers. THIS IS AN AMAAZZZIINNNGG PLACE AND YOU MUST TRY THEIR FOOD AND TOP IT OFF WITHBA CANOLI! THIS IS THE REAL DEAL AT 5010 MILLS CIVIC PARKWAY...when you stop by ask to meet Mario and Cheryl the owners ... they are always around someplace and tell them their native friend from Bloomingdale, IL - Sal sent you!!!! read more

Such good pizza. We got one deep dish and one regular crust, both delicious. Staff was swamped with orders, some people came in too soon and were mad about waiting but it's a sign of the times. We had to wait 10 minutes, big deal. Friendly staff! read more

Looked for a Chicago style deep dish and it's good. Ordered the thin crust Windy City minus the sausage as my daughter doesn't eat meat. Crust is a good cracker crunch and this one is power packed flavor! Great Friday night delivery and they offered a nice first order discount. Definitely ordering again. read more

Tried out Rosati's over the weekend. I got a chicken Parmesan sandwich. It was so good. Also got breaded mushrooms. Good, wish they were hotter temperature wise but that was my fault driving a ways home before eating them. Also got the dough nuggets for desert. Those were unexpectedly delicious. There were some left so I snacked on them again the next day. I'll definitely be back. Probably before the end of the week everything was that good. read more

Look...this place is nowhere near 5 stars. The reason I tried it was based on all 5 star reviews. So I just want to warn you: $2 for any topping on pizza in addition to cheese. So a one topping pizza is $15 They also take an insanely long time. Ordered at 5:19, food came out at 6:08. I ordered 2 chicken parm sandwiches, a meatball sandwich and a pizza since this place doesnt have a kid's Menu and I figured my kid would eat it. The place has only bar stools around the parameter Of the counter where you order and the toilet. There is no table. Just bar stools. The manager or whatever she was offered to make my sandwiches again but my 7 yr old already waited patiently for almost an hour and I didnt want to push my luck. After giving me my refund for the sandwiches that they screwed up on, she asked for me if she could throw them away for me, which implies that either the place is insanely wasteful or she thought I was trying to sleeze free sandwiches. The chicken parm was beatdown looking so I didnt want it and I can think of at least 2 places that have way better quality Italian beef sandwiches. I would have given them to my husband but this lady seemed like she really wanted to throw them out, which I dont believe she did as she walked right past the trash can and back into the kitchen with them. Lastly everyone was complaining about how long the orders took. Again, there are no tables so most people called ahead, were told 25 to 30 mins and waited upwards of an hour for...legit...one marginal pizza. I don't see it lasting and I don't know how they had all 5 star reviews but I felt like it was only fair to warn others that this place is a waste of time. Blaze Pizza and Red Rossa are better alternatives in my opinion. Save yourself the aggravation and take your business elsewhere. read more

First time I ordered from Rosati's. The food was excellent and the service was great.

Tonight we tried Rosati's Chicago style deep dish pizza with Italian sausage - it was delicious! It's similar to Giordano's Stuffed pizza but in my opinion better - not as heavy. Previously we tried Rosati's thin crust pizza which was excellent. If you like really good pizza, check out this new family owned and operated restaurant. read more
