Popped into Rosati's because it was highly rated online and easy to get to from the interstate. But here's the thing... they guy at the cast register for my pick-up was exceptionally nice. Like, if you told me his last name was Rosati, that would make sense. It was a game day, and he asked me if I was getting food for the game, and I said it was for my dad's birthday, and the dude just lit up, and he said, "Thank you for making Rosati's a part of your dad's day!" He was sincere. Oh, and yeah, the pizza is terrific and their Cannolis were what I needed. I'll be going back, and you should try the place. Service at the pickup window was really good. Staff was attentive and honored my coupon. Pizza came out hot (picked it up) but I wasn't a huge fan of the thin crust. It was more of a "cracker" crust which I didn't love personally. Pizza came with lots of toppings so definitely would give it another try. read more

I ordered an 18" half sausage/half pepperoni thin-crust pizza, cheesy garlic bread, and a full order of boneless wings. The order was $43. The pizza was cooked to perfection. It was a little brown on top. There was a great amount of cheese. The seasoning that was on top of the cheese was awesome too. The sausage and pepperoni were the best quality. The wings I got were 100% better than most pizza places. The mild Buffalo sauce was the perfect amount of spice and they had a decent amount of sauce on them. The ranch and blue cheese are bomb. The cheesy garlic bread had a ton of cheese on it. I've lived in and around Chicago In the past, and ordered Rosati's for years, so I'm happy they are making it in Des Moines with the same quality. We had a variety of everything, including boneless wings, fettuccine Alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, and garlic cheese bread and all of it was hot and tasted great! We're currently only eating at restaurants that only offer carry out or delivery so I'm very happy to have another available restaurant during COVID. I recommend Rosati's to anyone wanting to enjoy some Italian or wings during COVID! I'll be back for sure and have already sent a friend their way!!! When I picked up the order there was a poster on the window saying a free 12" cheese pizza with every 18". When I asked about it at the counter she said ,"You have to ask for it". I've been wanting to order from this place for a while, but two things always stop me while "in process": 1) their online system is truly horrible. You can't use a promo code (that's on their coupons, not some internet hack) without logging in and I hate giving info to these types of places, especially a password as I have no clue if they even try to secure their data. 2) the prices are sky high. Now, I am not comparing them to the joke delivery places or gas stations, but more to peers where I expect to pay $17-20 or so for a large thin crust. Well, I decided to call in my order to get around problem number 1 above. Service was excellent and really the woman was great - she clearly repeated back my order and I therefore knew there was no possibility of any snafu, which I very much appreciate. Their timeline was also perfect as I arrived and the pizzas were ready. Where did things go wrong then? Toppings were incredibly light compared to peer establishments in places like Valley Junction or near Jordan Creek, and again I'm not comping this place to a cheap delivery or gas station place. I get that real cheese, real ingredients, and the care to put it together properly matter. For $41 for two pizzas, I don't expect both my dining companion and myself to wonder why the toppings were so light? I don't think I'll order again given the online system is garbage - heck, even when you Google this specific store and try to start an online order the system makes you search by zip code again... it's just aggravating and then the value for money simply isn't there. It's a shame too as the pizza itself is pretty darn good, but so are the pizzas from other places. read more

Turns out if you eat here you are getting authentic authentic Rosati's Chicago pizza because the owners - and this is the only Rosatis they own- are from the area in the Chicago suburbs of the original Rosatis and have that hard core passion and love for food and their customers. Tried out Rosati's over the weekend. I got a chicken Parmesan sandwich. It was so good. Also got breaded mushrooms. Good, wish they were hotter temperature wise but that was my fault driving a ways home before eating them. Also got the dough nuggets for desert. Those were unexpectedly delicious. Look...this place is nowhere near 5 stars. The reason I tried it was based on all 5 star reviews. So I just want to warn you: $2 for any topping on pizza in addition to cheese. So a one topping pizza is $15 They also take an insanely long time. Ordered at 5:19, food came out at 6:08. I ordered 2 chicken parm sandwiches, a meatball sandwich and a pizza since this place doesnt have a kid's Menu and I figured my kid would eat it. The place has only bar stools around the parameter Of the counter where you order and the toilet. There is no table. Just bar stools. The manager or whatever she was offered to make my sandwiches again but my 7 yr old already waited patiently for almost an hour and I didnt want to push my luck. After giving me my refund for the sandwiches that they screwed up on, she asked for me if she could throw them away for me, which implies that either the place is insanely wasteful or she thought I was trying to sleeze free sandwiches. The chicken parm was beatdown looking so I didnt want it and I can think of at least 2 places that have way better quality Italian beef sandwiches. I would have given them to my husband but this lady seemed like she really wanted to throw them out, which I dont believe she did as she walked right past the trash can and back into the kitchen with them. Lastly everyone was complaining about how long the orders took. Again, there are no tables so most people called ahead, were told 25 to 30 mins and waited upwards of an hour for...legit...one marginal pizza. I don't see it lasting and I don't know how they had all 5 star reviews but I felt like it was only fair to warn others that this place is a waste of time. Blaze Pizza and Red Rossa are better alternatives in my opinion. Save yourself the aggravation and take your business elsewhere. read more
