I was on this part of town because I found a sauna to try and on my way back to my hotel I looked up the closest pizza place. This place was busy and seems like a neighborhood favorite. I was quickly greeted and ordered a pizza and a salad and went outside outside to sit on their very large patio. My food was brought to me in a timely manner. It didn't take too long, but it was definitely cooked fresh. I made it a pattern to get a Bianca style or no tomato sauce type pizza and a Caesar salad at most of the restaurants. I tried while in Tallahassee. So I ordered a pizza with a non-tomato base. It was absolutely delicious. Well cooked good toppings and I really liked it. The Caesar salad I added chicken too because there was no meat on the pizza and I believe they don't charge extra for chicken so that was nice. The salad was great. Everything was great and the atmosphere seems like a fun family place to have pizza. They also had ice cream. And if I wasn't full and moderately lactose intolerant, I would've gotten some ice cream. But again I was staying in a hotel with no freezer so I didn't wanna risk having to eat it quickly.

I honestly do not even know where to begin. The service at this restaurant was absolutely horrible…read morefrom the moment we walked through the door. What should have been a simple, enjoyable dining experience turned into an incredibly frustrating situation that left me feeling disrespected, taken advantage of, and extremely disappointed. First of all, the hosts did not even seat us where we were supposed to be seated. They never gave us menus, and instead of helping us, they simply walked away without saying anything. I literally had to get up myself and ask for menus. We had barely arrived, and we were already having to do things that should have been the staff's responsibility. Then, while we were looking at the menu, we were offered complimentary chips and asked whether we wanted guacamole and cheese. We agreed, trusting that we would be informed of any additional charges. However, NOT ONCE did anyone tell us the price of the guacamole, nor did anyone explain the portion size we would be receiving. Neither the server nor the menu provided this information. How are customers supposed to make an informed decision when they are not given the basic information they need to decide whether they want to pay for something? And somehow, the service managed to get even worse. When our food arrived, we did not even have utensils to eat with. Once again, I had to get up and ask for something that should have been provided automatically. We were left waiting for utensils while our food was already on the table. At this point, I was genuinely frustrated by how little attention was being given to us. But the most infuriating part came when I checked the bill and discovered that I had been charged $10 FOR GUACAMOLE THAT NOBODY HAD BOTHERED TO TELL US THE PRICE OF. Ten dollars! And not once during the entire interaction did the server mention that price. I was never told the cost, never informed of the portion size, and never given the opportunity to decide whether I actually wanted to spend that amount. Had I known the price beforehand, I could have made my own decision. That is exactly how customer service is supposed to work. When I questioned the server about the charge and asked why she had not informed us of the price, she told me that apparently her manager had instructed them not to tell us anything. Let that sink in. Instead of simply communicating the price to customers, we were left to discover the charge ourselves when the bill arrived. I then went to confront management, hoping to receive a reasonable explanation. Instead, I was told that they do not list the prices. I explained how absurd that was because customers deserve to know what they are agreeing to purchase BEFORE they are charged for it. Then I was asked what size of guacamole I had ordered. How was I supposed to know? Nobody had told me the size, shown me the options, or explained the price! What makes this experience so upsetting is not simply the $10 charge. It is the complete lack of transparency, the lack of communication, the terrible service, and the feeling that my concerns as a paying customer were not being taken seriously. I had to ask for menus, get up to request utensils, and then personally question an unexpected charge that should have been clearly communicated from the beginning. I PAID MY BILL, BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THIS TREATMENT WAS ACCEPTABLE. Paying for a meal does not mean customers should have to tolerate careless service or discover undisclosed prices after the fact. I left feeling angry and incredibly disappointed. No customer should have to go through this just to have a meal. The management had an opportunity to acknowledge the problem and handle the situation with basic professionalism, but the response only made the experience more frustrating. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE, AND I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. There are plenty of restaurants that understand the importance of treating customers with respect, providing decent service, and being transparent about their prices. Unfortunately, this was not one of them. If you decide to eat here, make sure you ask about every single additional charge before agreeing to anything, because apparently you cannot count on the staff to tell you the price themselves. This entire experience was unacceptable, and I genuinely hope management takes these complaints seriously instead of allowing other customers to experience the same thing.

As you walk in great to be welcomed by what looks like a place where the locals meaning college crowd hang out. Dropped with sports and college memorabilia, well used tables and chairs, we were properly greeted by a young college student. Quickly shown to our tables we were welcomed by our waitress. She was very friendly and helpful in highlighting some of the better dishes. So we ordered the gator appetizer which was lightly breaded and tasted very fresh, served with a side of remoulade dipping sauce. Then we had a bowl of seafood gumbo and the red beans and rice with have a hot link. Both dishes were very flavorful and I would definitely recommend them. The only negative is that they were both a little on the salty side for our liking. Oh and my wife had hoped for more okra in the gumbo. But yes I would definitely recommend this place and it was great to see a diverse crown from young kids to the elderly in what looked like a college bar environment.

Wilson was our waiter, and he was very friendly and took great care of us. We got the Garnet and Gold nachos for a starter, and the sauce they put on there was great - we'd definitely try that again. The first hurricane I drank was pretty stiff, and you can see the difference in color with the second one - i dont know if they switched bartenders or not but they were definitely mixed differently. The entrees were very tasty, and I recommend adding a little of the Coosh's seasoning on your fries and other dishes if you like an extra shot of flavor. The gator was cooked well, the shrimp were plump, and the jambalaya pasta was a delightful choice as well. Portions were huge, and I'm glad the wife and I split an entree. Despite not being able to finish our entrees, we got 2 desserts to split amongst the 4 of us - carrot cake and Oreo cheesecake, and both provided enough of a sugar rush to get us home... then cause us to crash. Great experience, and looks like it would be a great game day destination!
