I always enjoy Midtown Pies after a night out on the town. I am convinced this location serves better pizza than the Gaine Street location. The garlic knots are my go to and generally a slice of cheese or pepperoni, you can never go wrong.

Blueberry bacon pizza next to a chicken pesto pie. Both were amazing, which made it worth the price

I do not like thin piece Pizza I prefer my pizza to be thick. They have thin pizza but it was really good that I didn't mind it at all. We got two pies, one blueberries and bacon and the other one was pesto basic with chicken. They were both really good, I honestly can't decide which one was better; but the blueberry one was the most unique in the one I would recommend trying just because it was so unique, great combination of flavors. You can definitely taste the quality of ingredients that they use here. The decor is very hipster, which I appreciated and the location is average sized. The only issue with this place is the pricing, a little but high but I would still say it is worth it!

The pizza was tasteless. Pizza crust was tough and very chewy. Not worth the cost and wait time. Don't let the photo fool you because it has no flavor.

The Pixie! (Spinach pesto w/eggplant, red onion, smoked mozzarella and marinated artichokes) Amazing!!

Great place to go for a fun, unusual pizza! I love their combinations! The only reason I didn't give them a five is because I've been there 3 times now and this last time it seemed that my pizza with the prosciutto and cherries and honey seemed a bit short on ingredients. I', one of those people that assume, as a business owner, that if you're running low on your ingredients, you don't wait for your shipment the next day - you RUN TO PUBLIX and grab some prosciutto to keep your clients happy! Don't think they don't notice, either...we are not stupid. It takes a wise person to see the beauty in a prosciutto, cherry, and honey pizza - so, don't sell me short. Just take it off the menu if you don't have staff to make a run. There, I've said it. Other than that, my daughter had the cheesiest, most wonderful pizza at the same time and it was incredible. Every other time I've come everyone in out party has been thrilled with theirs, so I believe this was a one time learning curve. Please!? ;-D I love Midtown Pies! Everyone should try it and find their fave and then mix and match to try all the others, too! They have cool beers and wine to help 'cleanse the palate' between flavors! ;-)

Grilled chicken and ricotta slices for me, garlic and spinach and plain for the girl

Gaines Street Pies' older brother offers a unique experience unlike its counterpart. The space itself is laid out appropriately, because, naturally, it's more likely to appeal to an elder midtown crowd, while still entertaining the college folk. The pizza is tender with a crisp bite of crust and dough on the bottom, making for a well-balanced bite. On my most recent visit, I ordered a grilled chicken slice and a creamy ricotta slice. The chicken was seasoned and cooked thru perfectly. Often times, ricotta can be heavy on the stomach, but they don't overdo it here at Midtown. They're well aware that a little bit goes a long way. Just like Gaines Street, Midtown offers a similar lunch special. Also, there are a few tweaks to the menu, some selections that are offered at Midtown are not offered at Gaines Street. So, check those out! These guys genuinely have a passion for pizza. Their ratio of cheese to sauce is what I love and why I wake up in the morning. You can't find pizza like this anywhere else. Mangia!

This is my go to midtown gluten free pizza spot. Like other joints, the GF pizza is good for one hearty appetite or split between two if you're just a bit peckish. Comfortable and laid back atmosphere conveniently located and reasonably priced.

Lunch special - two one-topping slices

This place never disappoints! At $6 for two slices and a drink, their lunch special cannot be beat. Delicious thin crust pizza, and the candied jalapeños are a must try!

Gaines Street Pies meets Midtown's foot traffic. It's a great spot to grab a slice when you are walking or frequenting the bars in the area.

They lost my order. I called an hour in advance. How does this happen? 28 dollars for a medium? Why not stay home and cook a steak?

Pizza dough had zero flavor. The cheese tasted bad. Also, 14" 3 vegetable topping pizza was $20. Not worth it. Disappointed :/

We thought we should leave the long high top tables for larger parties. We chose to sit at a smaller table for four along the window wall. The chairs seem too short for the tables along the window. The restaurant is sleek and modern. Eye-catching decor that is visually appealing. We watched servers and management walked by our table several times in a five minute period and not a single person greeted us. We finally flagged down what appeared to be a manager, and asked if we could be served. They abruptly left the table, more minutes past, and eventually a server came to the table, dropped menus, and left. We waited another five minutes and finally flagged the server down to take our order. I've never experienced this, but the server requested a credit card immediately to start a tab. We said we were paying cash and only planning to order a sandwich and an iced tea. She stated that was the policy so if you are arriving with no credit card in hand, it is possible, you can't be served. Cash is not king here. My dining companion really wanted to try the Italian beef sandwich so we ordered one entree to split. He ordered an unsweet iced tea and I drank water. The food arrived promptly and the bowl presentation was acceptable. The sandwich is served on top of smashed potatoes that are probably baked. There was a gravy at the bottom of the bowl, which was I think was the au jus meant to dip the sandwich. The bread was not fresh. The sandwich was hot and tasty. The meal was enough for two people, but the server didn't bring a plate for the shared portion. We flagged another server and requested and received a plate. The total was $25. My dining companion had visited the restaurant for breakfast several weeks earlier. He noted the food was good and the service was efficient. I hope our visit today was not the norm because we felt totally ignored. We decided if we chose to return in the future we would have to sit at the bar to be able to be served on a timely basis, if at all.
