It wasn't bad...it wasn't great...it was decent. My friend and I were looking for a quick bite and decided to go to Decent Pizza. Similar to MoMoS, it is a slice as big as your head. It was pretty darn big. Neither one of us could finish it. The day we went, they had no ice, so we got Jarrito sodas - which weren't ice cold either - coming from a refrigerator. The service was very friendly and before the team member there started our order he did tell us about the ice machine being broken. The pizza is made to order - even the slices. However, the temperature of the pizza was not that hot - you know the first bite of out of the oven pizza should be gooey and stretchy and burn the top of your roof of your mouth hot. It was not ... it was decent. The mushrooms were fresh (yay! Hate canned mushrooms). Loved the artwork on the walls. All in all, the pizza is decent (like the name), service was great and friendly. We had not been to Decent in several years, and went last night for a family outing. My daughter's slice was about 30% bigger than this one. My kids' minds were blown, and they loved getting to customize their slices. My only regret is how much we ordered. We got way too much food, having forgotten how very much they give you. They have improved their sauces and now have a very good spicy ranch as well as a garlic dip, which I do not recall getting or seeing previously. Our kids enjoyed the arcade game and pop selection. But I have to say Decent Pizza makes a decent pizza. Just be aware it takes a long time as they made my single slice barbecue chicken pizza fresh. So my plan to grab a bite and be on the road in 15 minutes became more than an hour total. But the staff is friendly. The pizza was really nice and crunchy as I like my thin crust. Decent Pizza is just a block from my new job, so today I stopped in for the first time and ordered a single slice of pepperoni and sausage to go. The total was $9. When they called my order, I was confused--why such a large pizza box for one slice? Then they opened it. OMG. The slice was massive--unbelievable in both size and appearance. When I got back to work to eat it in the break room, I had to show my coworkers. I could only finish about a third of it, so now I have two more lunches out of that one slice. $9 + a $2 tip = $11 for three lunches. No brainer. I hate to write this review because I like the pizza here and have patronized Decent for a decade at this point. At this point we've had three bad experiences in a row and I don't think I'll be back. Yesterday we waited over an hour for a small cheese pizza and two slices. There were 5 employees behind the counter - close to the same number of customers in the place. They were moving slow, hanging out and chit chatting most of the time. When the food finally came out (with no apology for the wait), one of the slices was wrong. This is the third visit in a row that either this has happened or they have completely forgotten part of the order. At least the last time they offered the incorrectly made slice. This time I'm sure that slice went in the trash while I sat waiting and watching everyone else eat for another 20 mins. Some advice: If you screw up an order, offer the screwed up order to the customer (they did this last time). And also make damn sure the next thing getting fired is the replacement. Instead I watched pizza after after pizza come out and get boxed and stacked on top of the oven - for door dash or whatever - instead of my slice. Another table was waiting for their togo pizza for a long time and it turned out it was sitting on top of the oven in a box. In the end, the only redeeming action on their part is that they acted a bit ashamed - as they should have been - when I called them out about my order. I suppose they could have been dicks about it. Either way, we're at three strikes. :( I hope the owner can get a better crew in place and take care of their customers, but maybe it's just a bad turn because of a change of ownership. So we saw this place while driving and decided that anyone gutsy enough to call their place 'Decent . . . ' must have a great product, so we decided to give it a shot. We had four different types of pizza. First, the staff was very friendly and engaging. The pizzas were ready pretty much when they said they would be, which is also a positive. Overall the pizzas were . . . decent. I can't say they were the best I've had but they were also far from the worst. There was just the right amount of sauce and cheese. The pepperoni was generous; the black olives and jalapeños were sparse. The crust was done nicely - and it was chewy but not overly, so that was good. The bottom crust was a bit thin and a bit greasy but not too bad. The really odd thing was that the Italian Sausage was paper thin slices - we've never before in our lives seen it like that - it's usually always crumbly, which we prefer. So, in the end if I was hungry for pizza and in the area I would have no qualms about going back for pizza; I probably wouldn't specifically drive far for the pizza - it was decent, not bad. read more

Pizza is definitely decent here! Ha, I am sure I am not the only one to be that clever. I personally prefer more of a pan pizza style, but I nearly devoured the entire thin crust 12" pie that I carried out on Thursday night. I ordered my pie topped with red onions (I prefer white but that was not an option), green peppers, and Bradley's spicy sausage, which was recommended to me by a colleague as a Tallahassee staple -- and it was a great suggestion that I will now pass along. :) The pizza was baked what I would consider "well", as in some of the crust was on the slightly burnt side - but I know that many pizza fans prefer that taste. It was presented to me as a perfect circle (a talent that I have yet to master when I bake my own pizzas at home). It was not the best pizza that I have ever had (being a pan crust girl makes that inevitable) but for being my nearby local pizza joint, Decent Pizza will definitely suffice for all of my unplanned pizza cravings. And my parents will dig it when they visit me since they love thin crust. read more

Been going to decent pizza for over 10 years. Tonight was the first time I had the pizza and it was not decent. It was thin. It was hard it was dry. Not enough cheese. I've been searching for a reasonable facsimile of a Margherita pizza since I moved here. This is the closest i've found so far and it was pretty good, not a traditional pie a little different than most but still very tasty. I am a bit of a traditionalist I guess the ingredients are a cracker thin crispy crust, extra virgin olive oil, fresh buffalo mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes and basil leaf, NEWS FLASH - there is no red sauce on a true Margherita pizza. Pizza Margherita is basically a Neapolitan pizza, typically made with tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, garlic, fresh basil, and extra-virgin olive oil. I think of it as a sophisticated version of your basic cheese pizza and also a Caprese salad, but with a crust. The service was prompt and efficient. Have to admit I was a bit surprised at the gargantuan size of a large pizza in the adjoining price of said pizza. That's partly my fault. I should've asked when I placed the order and didn't but with tip close to $60 for a large and a medium pizza is New York City style pricing but if you like the pizza it's worth the money. It's a typical street corner, pizzeria, and exudes that type of ambience which is nice and laid-back. read more

The price to quality and size of the food was more than I could ask for. Cheaper doesn't always mean lower quality as it is was all quite savory. The cannolis were wow, so worth it. I don't know where else you'd get cannolis of this size with fresh ricotta anywhere else in tally (that I know of). You even get a pitcher of beer for $6. They have a varied and flexible menu as the variation of toppings are wonderful and include choices that you don't always see, like ricotta or pesto. Can't order online, unless using via delivery service, so I called back, was told a medium pizza would be ready in 25 mins. Picked up pizza asked for a bottled beer to take home, denied. They said they couldn't sell it to me if I was to leave with it, even if it was not open (I've had restaurants seal my bottle of wine to take home, so what's up with that?). Instead of driving across the road to buy a beer from a gas station I opted for a cherry Coke (one size choice: medium). Got home and noticed the cherry Coke was all soda, no flavor, didn't have it in me to call and sit on hold for 10 mins to let them know. I have an Airbnb apartment around the corner from this joint, and don't feel good about recommending them to guests.
