    Pizza and salad

Both the pizza and the Caesar's salad were just average it was the cost that blew us away. My wife went in to pick it up and paid $42.00 for a medium pizza with three toppings and the salad. When we got home and she told me the price I called and got the manager who was surly and gave me a poor rundown on the charges. I'm leaving a photo here so that you can see what we got for our $42.00. I'll leave it to you to decide if I'm nuts for thinking that this is wrong.

Passing through my old college stomping grounds (FSU)(Go Noles), stopped by for a calzone to take on the go. While waiting, I noticed the venue is big with outdoor seating and that the staff was friendly. The calzone was another story-- was so hot it burned a hole through the entire bag. It wasn't a bad calzone, the ingredients were fresh. But it completely fell apart as it wasn't sealed and was very messy to eat. Because of the hole it soaked the napkins in grease. Definitely unsatisfied with the calzone and definitely took an "L". I don't plan on going back next time I'm in Tallahassee.

One of my go to delivery restaurants mostly because their menu has something for everyone! The chicken diablo is by far the best pasta they offer. The pizza is New York style & all pastas come with a salad and rolls. The bbq wings are way better than buffalo!

This isn't the works pizza I've ever had, it wasn't the best, but I can say I would eat it again probably. I came in for a late lunch around 2:30 and ordered two slices and a water, they do not have bottled water so they gave me a glass of water. My two slices I ordered with pepperoni, and I was served very quickly, probably because I was the only person in the restaurant. My bill came to $6.40, that's more than fair.

Called ahead. Picked up pizza when they said it would be ready. (Anyone who trusts a delivery person with their pizza deserves whatever they get.) Ate good, hot, pizza. What more could you ask for? Pizza was acceptable for New Yorkers, so I guess I sure couldn't have any complaints. Pizza tastes are quite subjective, but Milano's did what they said in the time they said it would be done.

I'm a little disappointed. We've been here quite a few times and have never been impressed with the pizza. The pizza taste bland, and the toppings were very sparse. I hope the quality improves one day.

    Big ole banquet table!

Bottom Line: flavorful dishes to be had at this good neighborhood pizzeria & ristorante with great room for private & large banquets, outdoor terrace with covered and open seating, and full bar. If you're a big fan of Village Pizza up in The Village Commons shopping center - then you already know this is going to be good. This is a neighborhood Joint and all the usual suspects are on the menu, along with a "house specialties" section which I focus on in any restaurant when it presents itself. We've generally come with kids in tow, and tend to eat outside or inside equally. Interior has a remarkably comfortable sofa at the entrance with ample car enthusiast magazines. If I'm not having pizza (which I like just fine, but I tend to order pizza at other places) I generally order one of the following three: The Chicken Diablo, The linguine, garlic, broccoli, olive oil and artichoke dish or The Chicken Florentine. Worth a visit!

It is the reason I would consider returning but "$12-$15" for a salad where I stand in line, pay at the register, find a seat and eat from a plastic bowl with plastic utensils seems a little high for this old boy. My wife regularly pays $14 for her favorite Southern Spin Cobb Salad at Backwoods Crossing where we are waited on at table and eat with utensils and bowls that are reusable and go through the dishwasher rather than into the landfill. I have even rationalized a steak salad for myself a few times because the amount of steak was similar to what I would get with a steak and baked potato meal and the salad meant I was eating healthier. Those too were enjoyed at a restaurant where we were waited on and ate with utensils and bowls that go through the dishwasher and not the landfill. I think I paid $17 for those. Maybe somebody was having a bad day but "methinks thou doth protest too much."

My wife ordered a pasta dish (I forgot to get the name of). I ordered Pescado A Lo Macho. All dishes were fantastic. Flavors were excellent. I added there house sauce to mine, because I like it spicy. I thought this dish was amazing. My wife's taste thought the pasta was a little too rich with cream, but I thought it was perfect. An impromptu trip to Peru is absolutely within reach, and shockingly affordable!…read more We had a last minute opportunity to go out for dinner and decided to make a reservation for Cafe de Martin because they had availability for our semi "early bird" time slot. We chose to dine on their colorful outdoor terrace, and when I tell you that we were transported to another country.... I mean, it literally took us out of Tally and dropped us in a tropical paradise. As the sun went down, the lights began to glow. The ambiance was surreal. I repeatedly told my husband I felt thousands of miles away from home. Was it the cafe lights or the Sangria? I can't be sure. The live music began and it was a whole vibe. Heads turned, ears perked up, and an entire terrace just exhaled. The sultry atmosphere was only overshadowed by the savory food. Dear Lord we ate far too much. What is that saying? Ask forgiveness not permission. Sounds about right. We started with cocktails and Fried Yucca. The Jamaican Margarita was a perfect blend with a sweet sugared rim. The Sangria was a full party in the glass with fresh fruit. The Yucca portion was hefty, but we ate it ALL. In hindsight, we should have saved more room for our actual meal. We ordered Lomo Saltado Beef that was so tender and rich, and it was accompanied by another hefty portion of indulgent carbs. See? That's where moderation in our starter would have been wise. Ahh lessons learned. If we had saved half of the Yucca for leftovers it would have reheated in an air fryer beautifully. We also ordered the Escabeche which was a beautifully fried , snapper filet served with sweet potato and rice. The sauce was simple and elegant with that classic tart vinegar bite. We looked at the dessert menu. I repeat, looked. We simply had no more room. We'll be back soon and promise to make it to the dessert menu and coffee.
