    Fettuccine Alfredo with vegetables
    Hikari M.

Partner and I come here once or twice a month for quality food and friendly service. He is very picky and only likes pepperoni calzones with no ricotta, and this satisfies him completely. We also love the bread, which is served warm. I've had several dishes here from the pasta soup to their Alfredo as well as their spaghetti and meatballs, and I've never had a bad experience with any of my food. My favorite is their fettuccine Alfredo with vegetables; it's very filling and there's a hearty amount of vegetables and well-cooked noodles. Sauce keeps me coming back for more! Pricing is just a bit higher than average, a hearty pasta dish is around $18.95 or more. Slowly working my way through trying out nearly everything on the menu as we keep coming back for a great experience. Outdoor patio seating is nice, just your average clean (if not a bit dated) restaurant interior and Italian decor. Always happy to have a meal here!

Spaghetti and Meatballs! My kinda comfort food!

Great Italian! This is an exceptional place! Tasteful atmosphere and good people. The food was delicious, and Riley is an Olympic class server. I hope they'll have me as a regular!

Linguine with clam sauce. I added sprinkle Parmesan and red pepper flakes.

We had a wonderful meal tonight! I ordered the linguine with clam sauce at Alec's (waiter) recommendation. INCREDIBLE! If you order it definitely save some bread to put extra sauce and clams on. Yum! We sat out on the patio and it was a beautiful night!

Bland spaghetti w/meat sauce. I couldn't eat it! Chicken ceasar salad...no Parmesan smh. DEFINITELY not worth it

I ordered the spaghetti/w meat sauce and the Caesar salad with chicken. I received about three layers of meat and a thimble of sauce. It tasted BLAND! Like they INTENTIONALLY decided not to use seasoning at all. The salad came with no grated cheese. Smh. I'm from out of town but will be back. Definitely not rushing back here. Not for a meal over $40. The garlic bread was good though! I went to the hotel lobby and bought a microwave pizza.

Dinner tonight and I cannot wait to dig in. I absolutely love their food. I have a large cheese pizza a large pepperoni pizza and a order of shrimp Alfredo a side salad and some bread.

    Lovely courtyard at the entrance.

We have eaten here a few times over the years and have always enjoyed their food If I lived on this side of town, I would come more often. However, I would have to pass several equally good Italian restaurants between my house and here so we don't get much. The first thing you will notice as you enter the courtyard where they are located is a enticing outdoor eating area. I imagine when the weather is nice in Tallahassee that this is quite popular during the evening. Our most recent visit was a party of 12. We were served by one very experienced waitress who did an excellent job keeping all of us satisfied. Drinks were refilled regularly, bread and butter was brought promptly (and replenished), salads came timely with the correct dressing for each and all 12 entrees came out hot and at the same time. That is a sign of a well organized restaurant, especially considering there were 2 other large groups plus plenty of other diners. I loved my red snapper piccata special and had enough to take half of it home. My wife enjoyed her carbonara and also had to take over half of it home. Everyone in our group enjoyed their food and commented on the great service we received.

I had been running around town after work looking for costumes for my kids for Halloween and I was in the mood for some good lasagna! I searched but couldn't find one and then I remembered this place. I'd never been before but I've passed by it (since it's in the Winn-Dixie and Chick-fil-A shopping center) and wanted to try it. I looked up my trusty reviews and decided it was time to try it. They have a really nice outdoor patio area and it was busy for a Tuesday night. I saw so many positive things about how the bread was delicious... and I'm a bread lover! I was torn between the lasagna and the Baked Cannelloni but decided I'd stick with the original plan for lasagna. The lady at the register seems to be Italian and she was very nice, she suggested that I do the lasagna since she too loves it and that I should try the cannelloni the next time I was back ;) When I got home with the food it was still hot, however there were a few cold spots in the middle. Nonetheless, I can say that I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I ate the entire container and the delicious bread all by myself! I'm a very picky eater and I will definitely be back to try more of the menu items. They are priced great for the portions and to be able to get a home cooked meal.

What a great find! Do not let the Winn Dixie next door deter you. It's a quaint little restaurant who knows how to do Italian! I got the Chicken Country Style and it is the perfect blend! My husband got the Carbonara and it was delish too (rich, but delicious). The bread is fresh baked and the wine is also yummy! Special shout-out to our waitress Abi for not only being a great waitress for us, but running the whole place (inside and outside) all by herself! P.S. I didn't think to get photos of the food - ate it too fast, so you get a photo of the courtyard on a rainy day. :)

It isn't that great but for the prices it offers accordingly. Simple but good. It is a very spacious place both seating inside as outside. As modern as it looks outside, it is outdated inside. Friendly staff. Simple menu. Full open bar. I had a sangria which came without fruit. I ordered the caprese salad which was terrible but for the price what you expect. Cheap thick cut tomatoes with tasteless mozzarella. It's as good as me fixing this myself at home. But again reasonable for the price. The spinach lasagne was really good. The soup of the day and eggplant Florentine were really good, better than when we had this at Cipriani's!

They are in a brand new building on the way into Woodville. There is a good bit of parking. The dining area is one big space with tables and booths. There's a little bit of bar seating facing the wood fired oven. There's table service and pleasant folks to wait on you. I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese and the wife got the Lunch Special pizza. The Bolognese didn't have enough meat to suit me and it hadn't been cooked long enough to develop that rich depth of flavor that my all time favorite Bolognese at Mimmo's in Destin has. More like a marinara sauce than a rich and thick bolognese. The pizza, on the other hand, was stellar. Tasty thin and crispy crust with a nice sauce, delicious cupped pepperoni and plenty of cheese where extra cheese might be overkill. Would have loved more fennel bite in the sliced Italian sausage but the overall taste of the pizza was so good I wouldn't quibble. And its 4.5 rating out of (900+) was the assurance I needed that I would have a quality experience. On the menu, I instantly took an interest in the 10" Margherita, which was what I ended up ordering with pineapple as my second topping added. Whether it be Grubhub or now Uber Eats, I love ordering online because it is convenient. Much praise to the Uber Eats delivery driver, Danilo, for arriving with my order at a reasonable time, as well as meeting me in front of the hotel. And Danilo also confirmed that it was me grabbing the order, which I cannot thank him so much for. Once I retrieved my order from Danilo, it was so hard to not smell it inside of the elevator headed up to my hotel room. It made me smile knowing that I just put pineapple on a Margherita pizza which is just not normal, tehehe. Even with the addition of pineapple, the pizza looked wonderful once I opened its box. I must say that the hint of cracked black pepper gave it a very nice touch appearance wise. Along with that, the pizza was topped with a combination of fresh cut basil, tomato and extra virgin olive oil with fresh mozzarella. And slice by slice, I devoured it as its toppings fell from it right back into the box. If you are looking for something to order from Gaines Street Pies, and love Margherita pizza as much as I do, then I recommend it. Being that I had a great ordering experience, I would surely order from Gaines Street Pies again whether it be Uber Eats delivery or takeout whenever visiting the city of Tallahassee. I tried while in Tallahassee. So I ordered a pizza with a non-tomato base. It was absolutely delicious. Well cooked good toppings and I really liked it. The Caesar salad I added chicken too because there was no meat on the pizza and I believe they don't charge extra for chicken so that was nice. The salad was great.
