I could have sworn I did a recent review, anyways the Stromboli and calzone were the best in Tallahassee I have had so far . The dough is gold brown every time. The owner sources only the best ingredients for sauce made fresh and the cheese is incredible too . Highly recommended experience.

So excited just got so much food to eat

First time here! Hostess was extremely nice & gave mouthwatering suggestions on the menu!!! We got the magherita pizza, baked ravioli, eggplant rotini, & a dozen garlic knots (it's only two people too lol but it all sounded so good!!)!!! Plus at like $3.59 for a dozen garlic knots how can you 'knot' do it!! Also got two extra marinara sauces for 75¢ each. And they have a sign showing that they sell their saw for $8.99 for a 32oz jar so how can you ignore that it's literally A SIGN THAT THEIR SAUCE IS GREAT ENOUGH TO TAKE HOME TO GRAMMA!! I will be updating after my feast!! (Has to do takeout because they're seating area is pretty small so for extra covid measure it's probably best to carry out. Plus it only took 15 minutes to finish making so not long at all!!) UPDATE: OK THE PIZZA WAS AMAZING !!! The ravioli was great too and my only issue was that I should of been more patient and put my eggplant in the oven to warm up vs the microwave because it did make it soggy (flavor was amazing still don't get me wrong). And we drove about 20 minutes to bring the food home so i definitely believe if you ordered it there (or live nearby) and ate it the crunch would be amazing because it was perfectly coated in a golden brown layer. I have some leftover I plan on finishing soon and I'm definitely going to be better and use my oven instead!!

    god bless Америка

We returned one cold rainy night and everything was just right. Though our first experience wasn't the best, I do give them a five. Just goes to show, you can't really judge a place on one visit alone. Ask for the Markie Special, those DIY meatball knots are my favorite thing!!! Love, love, love them. Love em. Mnm. Lol :) I can see why they get such great reviews. It's a nice place, everyone's happy and having fun, I just wish we had a better experience with the pizza. Don't even ask. Solid three something rounded up.

They are in a brand new building on the way into Woodville. There is a good bit of parking. The dining area is one big space with tables and booths. There's a little bit of bar seating facing the wood fired oven. There's table service and pleasant folks to wait on you. I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese and the wife got the Lunch Special pizza. The Bolognese didn't have enough meat to suit me and it hadn't been cooked long enough to develop that rich depth of flavor that my all time favorite Bolognese at Mimmo's in Destin has. More like a marinara sauce than a rich and thick bolognese. The pizza, on the other hand, was stellar. Tasty thin and crispy crust with a nice sauce, delicious cupped pepperoni and plenty of cheese where extra cheese might be overkill. Would have loved more fennel bite in the sliced Italian sausage but the overall taste of the pizza was so good I wouldn't quibble. We have a local pizza favorite close to home but I would drive right by them, all the way through town and down to Woodville for this pizza. It tasted that good.

But a little bit more courtesy would've been nice. They could have simply said: *"We're about to close, so service may be limited." * "We'd prefer no new orders this close to closing." * "Yes, but we're shutting down soon." Pictures truly don't do the size of these slices justice - they're huge! One slice really can fill up even the hungriest person. My favorite is the Buffalo Chicken slice. It's not too spicy, but has the perfect kick that's balanced by the blue cheese crumbles hidden under the mozzarella. Highly recommend adding a side of ranch to really take it up a notch! I love that Momo's has been able to open up a new location on Pensacola since I've graduated, but the divey nostalgia of the Tennessee St location will always have my heart.

And its 4.5 rating out of (900+) was the assurance I needed that I would have a quality experience. On the menu, I instantly took an interest in the 10" Margherita, which was what I ended up ordering with pineapple as my second topping added. Whether it be Grubhub or now Uber Eats, I love ordering online because it is convenient. Much praise to the Uber Eats delivery driver, Danilo, for arriving with my order at a reasonable time, as well as meeting me in front of the hotel. And Danilo also confirmed that it was me grabbing the order, which I cannot thank him so much for. Once I retrieved my order from Danilo, it was so hard to not smell it inside of the elevator headed up to my hotel room. It made me smile knowing that I just put pineapple on a Margherita pizza which is just not normal, tehehe. Even with the addition of pineapple, the pizza looked wonderful once I opened its box. I must say that the hint of cracked black pepper gave it a very nice touch appearance wise. Along with that, the pizza was topped with a combination of fresh cut basil, tomato and extra virgin olive oil with fresh mozzarella. And slice by slice, I devoured it as its toppings fell from it right back into the box. If you are looking for something to order from Gaines Street Pies, and love Margherita pizza as much as I do, then I recommend it. Being that I had a great ordering experience, I would surely order from Gaines Street Pies again whether it be Uber Eats delivery or takeout whenever visiting the city of Tallahassee. When I arrived at Decent Pizza it was closed. While I'm parked in front of the business using my phone to search for alternatives, because I had guests at my house and this was the planned meal, I receive a text informing me my order is ready for pickup. It's pretty unbelievable that they would allow such a thing to happen. Their website shows that they're open 7 days a week. The door of the business indicates closed Mondays. I called first to ensure they were open and got the "we're probably too busy to answer the phone" message, which instructed to order online. I thought ordering online was a safe option because surely there is no way the online ordering system would accept an order while the business was closed. I used their online contact form to report this issue on the day this happened (5/25). It's now June 21st and I have never received a response. A new owner assumed the business in 2023 and apparently has no concern for customer service. I'm done with this place.

It was pretty darn big. Neither one of us could finish it. The day we went, they had no ice, so we got Jarrito sodas - which weren't ice cold either - coming from a refrigerator. The service was very friendly and before the team member there started our order he did tell us about the ice machine being broken. The pizza is made to order - even the slices. However, the temperature of the pizza was not that hot - you know the first bite of out of the oven pizza should be gooey and stretchy and burn the top of your roof of your mouth hot. It was not ... it was decent. The mushrooms were fresh (yay! Hate canned mushrooms). Loved the artwork on the walls. All in all, the pizza is decent (like the name), service was great and friendly. We'd probably go back if we're in the area.
