It's been a long time between visits (maybe last Pi Day) because they are not close to home but each time I visit I am reminded just how good they are, both for service and for the taste of their pizza. We came on Pi Day (3/14/24). There was a line just out the door but it moved at a good speed. The employees were working hard but were pleasant and helpful. They did their best to bus the dining area which stayed busy. If it's like this on their busiest day of the year then I suspect it's wonderful the rest of the time. The pizza was delicious. The crust was crisp out to the point. No point flop here. The picky eater found the Italian sausage spicy but she ate it. I love their blood orange lemonade and they had Coke in the bottle so everybody was satisfied with their drink. This location is in a busy parking lot with several other food choices and a Starbucks but there was still plenty of parking. I ordered Blaze on the way to my hotel and ordered via curbside pickup. When I got there, they were very busy but I called the number and was put on hold. 3 minutes later I hung up and called back and they did pick up. I tried a couple more times and eventually had to go in. I'm not lazy, but I was in a hurry and had a stressful day and did not want to have to go in (hence doing curbside pickup). While the counter area was busy, there were 3-4 workers standing around (outside the counter) one holding my order and just looking at the tag. I had to interrupt their conversation and ask if that was mine. I explained I had called numerous times and nobody was picking up and the employee was very sarcastic with his apology. This is my first time visiting this Blaze Pizza location. The location is nice and very clean. The young lady, I believe her name to be Caroline, who took our orders and got our dough was extremely pleasant. After her, we were passed onto to other individuals who put the toppings on the pizzas. For one of our orders, it was repeatedly said he wanted the pizza as it comes on the menu, just without jalapeños. Despite saying it several times, when he received his pizza it was covered in jalapeños. When we finally got to the register, the cashier was helping us. We were using a discount we had through a well-known app that they literally have an advertisement for on their door. She acted very annoyed at us using said discount, and genuinely just seemed annoyed overall. She was cutting her eyes at us and acted as though it was a bother to do her job. Stopped in her after a soccer game nearby with my crew for a postgame meal. I had never been in a Blaze before so I didn't know what to expect but they made it very easy to walk through the process. I have no clue how much a pie costs since dinner was paid for, but I appreciate that there's seemingly no limit to the kinds of pizza you can create. There wasn't really any "service" so to say because it's kind of like a chipotle line as far as how you build the pizzas. I appreciate that it's a brick oven and you can see your pizzas being fired up and cooked. Super cool. It's definitely a casual place, laid back energy, and apart from however long it takes to bake the pie, it's a quick spot for food. The pizzas come out piping hot (obviously) and since they're thin crust, the center is a bit hard to pick up so you may need to use utensils unless you can wait for it to cool down a bit. A work colleague and I stopped in here today, as we do once every month or so. Our experience today was of the hook! Every single team member was on point. they were friendly and efficient, and had our orders out quickly. The young man who came by our table to bring our pizzas and check on us was very kind and told us to flag him down if we needed everything. He came by part-way through our meal to ask how the pies were and see if we needed anything. When I told him that the whole team was cracking today he thanked me for the feedback. I asked if his manager was in and he let us know that he was the manager. I congratulated him on running a great crew and encouraged him to keep it up. Saw a lady with pizza from here and asked her if it was good she said "yes".. after must consideration of deciding what I wanted to eat... I ended up deciding to try it ... but as soon as I walked in I realize I had been to one of these locations before in Fort Lauderdale. I remember the pizza was good... so I didn't turn around. You can create your own pizza or order off the menu . I also got a Caesar salad and you can add your own toppings to that too. The pizza I ordered was fantastic!!! Stopped by Blaze for the second time today - and it was absolutely delicious! I got the cauliflower crust my first time, and I wasn't a fan at all. So, I'm happy we came back to give it another try...because the regular dough was so much better! The pizzas were much bigger than I was expecting, and came packed full of fresh toppings. Everything was cooked really fast, right in the oven in front of us...which I thought was really neat. You can customize and build your pizzas and they have a ton of different topping to choose from all laid out. Everything is made right there, fresh. I love it! Customer service was unfortunately poor today. At approximately 5:30pm on 7/19/24 my husband and son walks in to get a pizza for my daughter. My husband paid for the pizza with a female employee, sits down and is waiting for the pizza to be complete. A male Blaze employee with glasses screams across the lobby, Who is Greg? My husband looked at him. The male employee then asks did you pay in front of the customer. The irony was the employee had his receipt because he left it up therefore knowing his name and he had paid. Just a quick meal with the twins. We had the BBQ chicken pizza with four dough-knots. We got the "high rise" crust and if the lady taking our money hadn't caught it we would have had just the regular crust. Interesting concept for a pizza place. We decided to have lunch at Blaze on a typical weekday. It is counter service only, no wait staff. As we approached the counter the friendly staff was extremely helpful in our decision making process. All of the ingredients available as toppings are pretty impressive. Pretty much anything you would want on a pizza or salad seemed to be there. As we moved down the line, the counter staff interacted with us to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. After paying we took a seat and waited for our names to be called so we could pick up our pizzas. It took less than 5 minutes to get our completed pizzas! While getting the pizzas the staff pointed out that a condiment counter was immediately behind us which contained grated cheese, seasonings, shiracha, hot sauces, etc. There is also a soda fountain for self-serve drinks. As we ate our delicious pizzas, one of the managers came by the table to ask how we were doing which led to a lengthy discussion about Blaze. Turns out that all their produce is delivered fresh and prepared for use daily by the staff. Minimal to no canned food stuffs used here... There are 2 additional Blaze locations across town as well. The entire experience was pleasant and comfortable. The food was delicious and the staff very courteous and helpful. We both really enjoyed the entire experience. Love the fresh pizza and salads at Blaze! I also love that you can select exactly what you want to add and how much. The entree salads are HUGE! And delicious! The layout of the restaurant could be more efficient- you are coming out of the same line after ordering that people are picking up their food from and getting their drinks and condiments..it's all a little cluster. Then your pizza is baked and served to you hot and delicious. This location is always clean and has friendly staff. The menu is great, offers a lot of options, and they even have decent salads if you're that person. It is a little pricey because the pizzas are personal sized, but the pizza is definitely big enough to satisfy and maybe have a slice or two leftover. * as an update, I went here the other day and they accidentally burned a little of my pizza. I didn't even have to say anything, they let me know what happened and made me a new one! Plus they let me munch on the slightly burnt one until my new pizza came out. Not friendly, no signage that I could see telling me where to go, I had to ask her where I go to order. The outside area where I chose to sit was dirty, trash on the ground, tables hadn't been wiped and had leftover crumbs from the day before! I will try it again, hoping for friendlier staff. At first, I was going to try a signature pie, but the Blaze team actually recommended the build your own pie. For $7.95, you get unlimited toppings. Let me reiterate: for $7.95, you get unlimited toppings! Unlike Chipotle, where guac is extra, everything is included. I piled on the spicy red sauce (yum!), mozzarella and ricotta cheese, Italian sausage, Carmelized onions, roasted garlic and fresh spinach. The pizza cooks in an extremely high temp oven for three minutes. The pizza was hot, fresh, balanced and all the flavors I expected were there. If I had one knock, it's that the crust is too thin for my liking. But the char and crisp make up for it. Overall, I was very impressed. This was definitely the best fast casual pizza experience I've ever had. Having worked at Disney you can always appreciate a place that makes dining an experience. To me what set this place apart was that when I walked in I was asked was it my first time, they made a suggestion on what I should get, and most importantly they asked me my name and how to spell my name. MAJOR KEY TO SUCCESS. The person making the pizza, the cashier and the person boxing my pizza to go all made it a point to say my name.
