We ordered a pizza at 7:00 PM on a weekday night for pick-up. They said it would be ready at 7:25 PM. When we arrived at 7:30 PM, THEY HAD NOT EVEN PUT IT IN THE OVEN YET. We didn't get it until 8:00 PM. That's one hour after we ordered, for pick-up, for one large pizza and an order of breadsticks. As someone who used to work in a pizza place back in high school, this is unbelievable to me. Not to mention, the breadsticks were made out of a different dough, and the pepperoni and sausage were incredibly sparse. We've had problems with this Pizza Hut before being slow and disorganized, but this was the straw that broke the camel's back. We will not be back! read more

Updated 4/6/19 Ordered one pizza. Here in the time frame listed at ordering. Pizza was hot & amazingly delicious! Ordered 2 medium pizzas & apple pies. It took about 30ish minutes to be delivered. The delivery guy was very nice & the pizzas are perfect. Great job!! read more

Food and service is sub par at best. Pasta had been prepared too early and sat in the warmer. So, it was dry and crusty. Had to wait on boneless wings which were not fully coated with sauce. Asked for curbside pick up, but found out it wasn't available upon arrival. I had to leave my vehicle running to keep the ac on b/c I had my pups with me. I was told when I called to announce my arrival that my order was ready. It wasn't. So, my vehicle sat running in the parking lot for at least 5 minutes with my pups inside while I waited. read more

Ordered through the app. Story short we ordered the 10 dollar 3 topping pizza. As we ordered before the app automatically selects the topping. However, it didn't this time. So we called back after getting home to see the pizza was defaulted to cheese. Called and spoke with female manager and didn't offer to replace pizza or work something out. I bought my house in Powhatan a year ago, and despite the corporate site placing my address barely outside of their "zone" so I can't order online or use any online deals, I have always been delivered to with a "manager override" as there are no other Pizza Huts anywhere near me. I've ordered tons, tipped well, and this location just told me to pick up or go to hell. I don't know if there is a new manager or what is going on, but I was just treated as some kind of nuisance when I asked what had changed by a rude, spiteful individual, as though opening a location in a rural area without contingencies was my fault. We place an order online for 6:30 pm for 2 large pizzas. Receive an email confirmation and text stating the ETA would be 6:55 pm. At 7:45 pm, still no pizzas. I call the store and a new hire states he's not sure whats going on so I ask to speak to the manager. A female picks up and rudely states they do not have a driver working tonight (without any apologies) and bluntly states, "you can come pick them up" lol?? WTF is this BS?! She was beyond rude when I asked why didn't you try to email or call us? Will never order from this crap establishment ever again, sticking to Angela's for take out and Domino's for online. FAKE MILITARY DISCOUNT POSTER ON DOOR. First off I do NOT feel entitled to a Military discount, but if one is offered, I will humbly, and respectfully accept. Then I always thank the business for recognizing Vets. This Pizza Hut boasts quite loudly a 20% Military Veterans Discount. So when I asked for my discount (showing my VA ID) they told me that the 20% was off the "MENU PRICE", not off of my order. OK, no worries, ring it up at MENU PRICE so I can get my discount. The clerk said he could do that but my order would be $3.00 MORE WITH the MILITARY DISCOUNT!?! OK, it's obvious that Pizza Hut wants NON Veterans to think that they are being really good to veterans, when in fact they are doing NOTHING. The Phony "Honoring of Vets" is far worse than NOT offering anything. Staffing is a problem here. Rarely do they have enough staff to keep up with the orders. The staff that is there makes it obvious to all, that they are understaffed. I suggest automation. Take the humans out of the equation and this place would run much smoother. Owner is obviously absentee. No one seems to be in charge. Ordered wings and was told my order was 4th in line? I guess the fryers are not big enough to keep up. So my pizza sat in a warmer for 25 minutes until my wings came out. Again, I can only assume absentee ownership. read more

We placed an order online and were told it would be 25 to 35 minutes. After an hour we called to check on the status. The guy who answered the phone seemed confused and when my husband asked when it would arrive we were told in 2 hours! My husband asked to speak to the manager and he was placed on hold. When the guy came back he said the manager said he was too busy to address my husbands inquiry! We have ordered from this location in the past and have noticed a decline in service as of late ( late pizza and cold on arrival.) I highly recommend ownership taking a hard look at their management team. We will be using Angela's or Dominoes for our pizza needs in the future. The last 2 times we ordered from the website (received confirm and all) and selected delivery.....first time we had to call the store (after an hour of waiting) to find out there was no driver working, second time we end up getting a call that they did not have a delivery driver and did we still want to place our order. This had happened once before about 6 months ago and the website wouldn't allow us to place an order, forcing us to call to find out why. Reason: no delivery driver. So, for at least 6-9 months they've had no delivery driver? I find that so odd when there are plenty of people looking for jobs. Also, for an organization as large as Pizza Hut I find it strange they cannot update their site to say delivery is unavailable in our area. Don't have to say why, just that it's unavailable. It has become frustrating and we will no longer be ordering from here. I am writing this review so others are aware and know to call versus use the website. Food was as expected. The low rating is due to poor service that did not meet the expectations of what this company markets to the public. read more

This store is really hit and miss. We have had delivery that was spot on; On time, accurate, hot fresh, delicious, friendly service. We more often than not have so-so pizza, warm, little sauce, tough, late etc. We've even received a pepperoni lovers without ANY pepperoni on it, only the add-ons. The wings are safe to order.....and call and pickup is a much safer choice. Don't bother complaining, the too-young staff doesn't care. We will continue to hope for the best, but expect the worst. read more

FYI, I do not recommend Pizza Hut any longer. Both the Powhatan location and the company in general are very rude and unprofessional. I have given them a week to respond to an email about my disappointment with their service and no one has personally responded. Just absurd. 1. Was given a free pizza coupon by Powhatan, VA location with an invalid code. 2. Called in an order only to be rudely told that they no longer deliver to my house 2.6 miles away, after years of doing so, with no explanation as to why. 3. Emailed customer service about this location a week ago about these issues and have yet to receive any communication from Pizza Hut in general. 4. The Pizza Hut needs some work. Several times, my online order has been confirmed and scheduled to be delivered within 30-45 minutes, only to have me call an hour after I place the order to find out where my pizza is. The last time I was told that it would be to me within 10-15 minutes, despite the fact that I live literally 2 minutes from the store. I have also had them tell me that they don't have a driver and that I need to come pick it up on more than one occasion, only to be told that they don't have the sauce that I wanted, or the type of wings that I ordered when I get there. The staff is very nice, but young and inefficient, and sometimes unapologetic when it comes to their mistakes. In a small county that has 5 pizza places to choose from, the owner needs to step up his/her game a little bit if they want to be competitive, and stay in business. read more

Pizza was really good and not overcooked. Service was nice and quick. Definitely has the trademark Pizza Hut taste if that's your thing. Would recommend if you're looking for a quick "fast food" pizza. They seem to have everything together at this place unlike others I've been to in the past. read more

Placed an online order at 820 and got caught up at work and arrived at 9:03 when I got there I was told I should have gotten there before they closed and they wouldn't give me my pizza I told him I placed it 40 mins ago did you guys make it? Three time ago the delivery never arrived, after waiting an 1 hour and 45 minutes and attempts to call them going unanswered the manager finally calls to say their driver was off the rest of the night and they couldn't make our delivery.
