Ceiling fans were turned on and made for uncomfortable seating. My wife finally got up and asked someone from the back to please turn the fans down. Server still not inside when she finally came in and brought our food no conversation just quiet. I finally got up and went to the bar as the new shift was coming in and several ladies were present. I simply stated the fans had to go or we would have to go outside to dine. Server finally said I tried to turn them down. She said they were getting set up for the evening. I stated that we were the only customers and we would be leaving shortly and they could turn fans back on. I paid with Apple Pay and requested a receipt. When we were leaving I took my wife's tea to the counter and requested it be to go. The lady took care of it and I requested my receipt which they clearly forgot. I asked if they could see the reviews from the device I used to pay and I was told they could not. That prompted this review. Still the food was great as always. I have been here many times and today was not up to par with service. I felt like I was not appreciated as a customer and to a degree ignored. Most of it was around room temperature (So, basically cold). Tacos had roughly 1/8" of meat on them - They might as well have been called "the vegetarian option". The Mexican Pizza (which we'd had several times at the Springfield location and loved) was flavorless cardboard. (I threw it away). The "Spicy Chicken" sandwich I ordered had next to NO spicy sauce on it. (Honestly, it barely peeked out behind the single pickle)...Such a shame. I'd first had this while living in Austin during COVID & loved it. - It needs the spicy sauce, otherwise it's just a plain piece of fried chicken on a warm piece of bread. The place was EMPTY! Why the 20 minute wait? I'd thought that maybe the previous bad experiences had been because we'd gone through the drive-thru or that we'd hit them at some peak-time and they'd been overwhelmed. One can only assume that the owners of this franchise are taking advantage of the fact that they're visible from I-24 and getting mainly long distance drivers who won't come back to complain. So I've been to lots of road-side fast food places. This ranks up there in the Top 10 Worst experiences.
