New classic American bistro opened in Pleasant View Village recently so we had to check it out…read more There's a range of options - unique appetizers, healthy options, burgers and sandwiches and some yummy sounding entrees like Salmon, Fish n Chips and even steak. The atmosphere is nice. Thankfully they painted after the last restaurant that was in that location. It felt crisp, clean and new. Also, they thankfully purchased new tables and chairs. There is a bar area that you can sit in if you don't want to sit at one of the tables. The service was good. We only waited about a minute to be seated and had a really good waiter who was attentive. Since it was lunch, we opted for sandwiches. I had the BLT and he had the chicken sandwich - both with the house cut fries. We were provided the choice of sourdough or sundried tomato bread. The sundried tomato bread sounded good so we both chose that. The BLT wasn't bad - the bacon was a lot thicker and a little too chewy for a BLT. I typically like thin and crispy bacon on my BLT and they forgot the mayo. I had asked for ranch dressing for my fries so I just used it to dip my sandwich in. He wasn't exactly blown away by the chicken sandwich. He asked for plain and it came with lettuce and tomato which wasn't a huge deal so he took that off. He said the chicken was a little dry though, which can happen with grilled chicken. He said next time he would just get the fried chicken since that's harder to mess up. It's nice to have another option for lunch or dinner in the area that is not fast food so we will go back but we thought it was a little pricey for having ordered just sandwiches.

After 25 minutes, our salad was delivered at the same time as our entree order. Also no drink refills. For salads we had. I had the bacon dressing on my salad, wife had the lemon dressing on hers. We both agreed both were good. The salad- she liked and I disliked. (it consisted of spinach leaves and arugula) For entrees - Against my better judgement after reading the description ( (but I had hopes). I ordered the fish and chips. Mistake! It came as described, hand breaded, pan seared. However, when you tried to eat it, the breading completely came off, and fish was overcooked. The chips were French fries that were hard, overcooked also. Wife's entree- Shrimp and Grits.Description said butterflied shrimp and stuffed crab cakes. Reality:- rubbery shrimp with no seasoning. The stuffed crab cakes consisted of a balled up ball with way more breading than crab. Both of us said the same thing, No flavor. Finished the meal and still no refill on drinks. They were not busy. Paid our bill, and both agreed- Disappointed. Should of went to our usual place a block down the street. There was nothing spectacular about this visit.

There was a handicapped space right in front of the entrance door. There is one step up to a sidewalk that runs the length of the building. I did not see a ramp but that is not the fault of the restaurant. Walking in there are several tables with seating for about 40. The ordering counter is in the rear. There is a relatively easy to follow and read menu above the counter. We were greeted as we came in and the workers were both friendly and helpful in making and assembling our selections. The gyros wrap was filled with a good amount of meat along with veggies and your choice of tzatziki or ranch sauce (get the tzatziki). The chosen side was a diced cucumber salad with an oil and vinegar dressing. I knew I was making the right choices as the person assembling the meal was very encouraging. The gyros pita was just as complete as the wrap and fries were selected as the side. The gyros meat was cooked perfectly and not dry at all. It was very flavorful and there was plenty in the wrap. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and the tzatziki sauce was the perfect addition. The diced cucumber salad was crisp and flavorful, especially with the oil and vinegar dressing. The pita was as good as the wrap and the fries were cooked perfectly with a crisp outside and softer inside. They also had seasoning with made them flavorful without any condiments. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and highly recommend stopping in. We will certainly add this to our meal stop any time we are in the area.
