They advertise to be NY pizza and honestly, Sam's Club or Costco pizza is better. Not NY pizza at all! The guy behind the counter was also very rude. After noticing that two customers had placed their order and left with them while I was still waiting, I went up to the counter and checked on my order. His reply was "what pizza? I have a lot of pizzas here!" To wait 38 minutes for subpar pizza and crappy service is unacceptable! Beware!

She didn't apologize and stated that unless I brought the food in there was nothing she could do and her hands were tied to theor policy, even with pictures I took. She also said there's no way the food was not fresh, basically insinuating I was lying. I asked if there is somewhere else I can provide feedback since she wasn't able to handle the situation and had no empowerment to resolve my concern at all. She gave me an email address which I will contact, though I expect no response. I will not return as all she had to do was take ownership of the situation and provide a replacement meal, a refund, or a coupon for future and apologize things went wrong. I want to share that this company does not care about quality or service recovery in their business to ensure things go right nor resolve things that go wrong and caution you to waste money there as it isn't cheap! It is in a strip mall with plenty of parking. You enter through the covered patio area, which on a florida day when it was 97 outside it felt cooler on the patio. We ate inside. When you enter, the bar is to the left and the dining area is on the right. There are both booths and tables in the dining area. And high tops in the bar, besides the bar stool. Ordered a craft beer from 3 Sisters in St. Pete. It was good. For lunch we had the sirloin lunch special and brisket wedge salad. The food was not good. It was bad. And in their defense, maybe they were having an off day or maybe their lunch specials are left overs. The brisket was dry and way past it's prime. I sent it back and they brought me back more dry brisket which I guess they soaked in something, but you could tell it was way over cooked and past it's prime. The sirloin steak was not much better and the mash potatoes were at best luke warm. This was very disappointing. Especially after seeing some of the reviews. Suffice to say, this outing was definitely a one star for the food and four stars for the service along with the ambiance. I hate to hurl insults, but whoever is in their kitchen has either lost their passion or they just don't care. Best part of the meal was the wedge salad which was deliscious. The manager did come talk to us and did not charge us. The experience was still disappointing. My expectation did not meet my experience at Ovation Bistro in Davenport Florida.
