Checkers is a fast food chain. They do not have indoor seating. It is two drive thru windows with a few outdoor tables. They have a wide selection on their value menu and regularly have specials like 2 specialty burgers for $4. I've been frequenting this place more regularly lately because french fries are one of my pregnancy cravings and I love the fries here. The fries are seasoned and really crunchy. I've not had a problem with them being cold here. They are generally nice and hot. I like their burgers here too, but even ordering mine special it is rarely hot. The last time I ordered my burger it was made incorrect, not once, but twice, so I always double check my order before I pull away. This place is true fast food. It is quick. The service here LACKS. So was here for the $4 meal deal they have online : Choice of a burger - I chose the mushroom swiss burger , Fries, Small drink and a fried apple pie. The Mushroom Swiss is DELICIOUS. Its not a bulky burger but this was def a delicious burger with swiss cheese - mushrooms - the patty. No wonder huge raves on this burger it was def good. Of course the battered fries are delicious as well. The salt it can get salty with both items but tolerable. They fry the apple pies here - Coated in cinnamon sugar. Def another delicious treat. The service - So the $4 meal deal only applies when ordered ONLINE. if its drive thru -its $5. They would not open those pick up windows even if you tap the window to get their attention. I have to say I used to love checkered so much till today the service was horrendous and the food was absolutely drenched with grease and we could not eat it. We spent $35 and had to throw the food away. And I would like to tell you that they said we had to wait because it was they were cooking it fresh but it's almost like they drenched it in grease before they gave it to us do not go there do not waste your hard earned money. read more

I ordered food to be delivered it wasn't even close to the order I wanted I called the manager and said can they correct it and she told me to go back and have the money put back in my account and then reorder it so I can pay another delivery charge and another tip from a mistake that they made and this is the third time in a row that they messed up my order I would never order that from again and needless to say either the manager doesn't know how to manage nor does she know how to train her staff. I have to start out by saying the Brookie is amazing and a perfect treat. That aside this is your run of the mill Checkers or Rally's, its good, but not excellent. They forgot my coke, so I pulled through the pick up only drive through to sit for 15 minutes before a crewmember even attempted to come to the window to talk to me. First off I walked up to the window and was ignored by the staff for several minutes. 2nd my fries were cooked in oil which was too cold so you tasted more grease than seasoned fry. 3rd I drove several miles to try a promotional sandwich I saw on TV and when I got home I found they had wrong us up for and given us the wrong burgers. To top it all off I called the restaurant and could not get anyone to answer the phone. The real thing that irritates me is I filled out the survey requesting a call from management and it has now been over 24 hours and have heard nothing from anyone. Visiting from Texas; they don't have a checkers in Texas so this was my first quick food stop. Ordered a burger with no cheese. Before I drove off I checked my burger and it had cheese so I handed it back to them and told them it had cheese I asked for no cheese. They took it and gave me back THE SAME BURGER WITH THE SAME CHEESE!!! They didn't even attempt to remove the cheese. The wrapper was ripped open and the lettuce falling out. I normally don't leave reviews but the service and food here was awful. I love checkers but this place was absolutely horrible. First of all, I was charged for food I didn't order. When brought to their attention all they did was give me the extra food. As if I wanted it! I was so posed that I didn't have the strength to even argue with them. If I could give it negative stars I would. Terrible customer service, literally every time I come it's just terrible. But specifically this time I came a worker named "Johnathan" gave bad attitude and ruined this whole experience. I don't know if they're low on staff and that causes their workers to be even more stressed but it's definitely a problem the store manager should be fixing. Terrible service. Everytime I walk to the window I spend at a minimum of 10-15 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge me. The staff spends more time on their phones and talking with each other than doing the job. The manager was unprofessional and was not even in the kitchen to make sure things were running smoothly. Instead she was outside on her phone and talking. I can understand why the facility looks the way it does (dated, faded, and uninviting) based off the lack of ambition and dedication in the staff. Had a call to me and was claimed "I did not pay for the food and just drove off" but I have proof in my online banking documents that I paid for 2 CHILI & cheese fries for $5.56 and the other part there was no chili, was only cheese and fries. When arrived it was a long line okay no problem me and my finally had just got back from Miami stoped her after picking the kids up to get something to eat . We waited in the long like okay no problem the cashier was really nice we like her . But the problem came when we check the order and realize we were missing an item. My daughters boneless wings . And the same guy came to the window rude why am I knocking on his window I informed him it was me but before I could get out why I was knocking on the window he wants to get all loud and rude and no grown man will not talk to me anyway so I started loudly explaining to him why I was there he closed the window the same young lady came and tried to desolate the situation and my husband walked to the front so did she . They guy and my husband had a few words the guy inform my husband man to man no you're not getting an refund . My order was 40$ I did not get the boneless wings nor refund for my boneless wings . Everyone was on break to get 3 Sunday's and 1 milk shake took a very long time. Went around 6:30 noticed more employees sitting down enjoying there dinner than employees working. I have to say I have seen Checkers back when we lived in Tx but never had eaten at any before until I got pregnant and we stopped there because we had heard about their french fries being so good and since week 32 of my pregnancy I have started having french fry cravings so we went there, and for around 5 you can get this huge order of fries in like a mini popcorn bucket, and they are just amazing so we have been frequenting this place mainly for the fries I must admit. We stopped in at this particular location on our way home since we have to go up 27 to get to our house, and the drive thru is conveniently open until 2 am almost every evening except Sunday where it is open until 12. So we tried a burger for the first time along with my fries and a tea. The burger was a double cheese burger on sourdough which on the menu looked really similar to a burger I used to get and love back home in Tx from jack in the box, which we don't have any here =(, the ultimate cheeseburger. The burger wasn't good as jack's but it came closer than anything else I have found in this area since Tx, so it was good just not the same. Love the prices, love the fries, cant complain! read more
