They had 8 workers and the manager told me they close at 10 pm and told me to go thru the drive thru due they were short staffe. what I saw was a bunch of employees laughing it up on their cell phones playing around. I asked the manager for the corporate phone number and she would not give it to me. It is policy the lobby stays open till 11 pm. You cannot make your own hours and say I want to close at 10 pm. Visited today on our way to Bok Tower Gardens. Location is convenient, just off of Hwy 27 in Haines City. We entered the drive through around 11:40 am and placed our order relatively easy. It then took around 15 minutes to get through the line. No explanation, no apology from staff at the window, with the pick up window remaining open the entire time. Normally, I wouldn't even review a McDonald's. I think we all know what McDonald's is. However, I had a really unfortunate experience at this one last night and feel the need to let others know that perhaps they should consider going elsewhere. We arrived at 6:25. The drive thru was lined around the building, but it was raining and I had the baby in the car so I wasn't getting out. This drive thru has two places to order and you choose either the left or right. The first unfortunate thing was that the person in front of me was sort of hedging their bets on which side to go to so they didn't pull up all the way, which was fine because he wasn't in a place where he could order anyway, but the car behind me saw a gap and cut in front of me and the car in front of me because he saw a gap. How rude! At least Chick Fil A has someone outside monitoring that stuff most of the day. Once I got up to order i ordered a McDouble, 10 piece nugget with BBQ sauce, Big Mac, and large fry. I didn't order anything complicated or special. I got up to the window and paid and at the next window they said it would be a minute on the mcdouble and could I please pull into parking spot #2. This frustrated me because the line for the drive thru was long and I hadn't ordered anything complicated, but what choice did I have? We pulled into parking space two and waited 7 minutes for our food! It was raining so hard that the person ran it out, handed it through the window and left. I didn't have the chance to check it before she ran back in. There was no BBQ sauce, even though I had specifically asked for it and it was on the receipt. That sucked. The fries were inedible. They had clearly been sitting in the bag for 7+ minutes waiting for the mcdouble, and the nuggets weren't much better. We did not eat the fries at all. We only at a couple nuggets, and we had no bbq. I would have gone in, but I had already spent 23+ minutes in the drive thru and waiting for my food. It was pouring rain, and I had the baby with me. It remained uncleaned for our entire visit and who knows how long it had been there prior. The seating area was filthy and it made me nervous to sit down or touch anything. Trash was overflowing at one of the cans since before we walked in and people started leaving their trash on the bar seating next to the trashcan. Used the mobile app at this location for a late night order. It took 15 minutes to bring out the order. Although I included two drinks in the order, the lady brought out only one straw. She said that "they" only gave her one straw to give me. I don't know who "they" were but I guess she expected us to share a straw or do without since she had no intention of bringing out another one. Furthermore, why couldn't see that there was only one straw but two drinks and grab another one? Very poor customer service. Worst McDonalds experience I have ever had in 30 + years of going to there restaurants. We went thru the drive thru on a Sunday afternoon about 3:00. There were approximately 6 cars ahead of us. It took us 20 min. to get to even place our order. 2 Artisian Chicken sandwich & a hamburger happy meal. Took another 5 min. to get to pay for our order. Then at pick up window told to pull ahead as order was not ready and they would bring out. Waited 5 min. and nothing. Went inside and asked manager on duty what was up with our order? Told was making it fresh for us and was right there ready for us. Went back to my car and waited another 5 min. and still nothing. Now my wife went in and was told same thing making it fresh. She said no just give us our money back we are done. No apology from manager or anything just gave our money back. In total a 40 min total ordeal.
