Hi Everyone, I've…read morebeen to this Grumps in Cleburne a couple of times over the past month or so. I have to say they have very good, definitely five star, burgers! I've had both the bacon cheeseburger, and most recently the chili burger. Both were yummy! As a side, I have had both the onion rings and the sweet potato fries. This is where Grump's five star review took a slide downward fast! The onion rings were decent but very expensive. Plus, I got only six in the little paper basket. My sweet potato fries were also expensive, slight on the quantity for the price, and mine showed up cold! My advice, save your money and don't order a side! The service is good. Friendly. It takes a bit to get your food. So plan ahead. You don't come to Grumps for ambiance. It is clean but nothing fancy. You definitely come for the burgers. I wish I could have given Grumps five stars. But just can't because of the sides. In fact, I struggled to give them four stars. Jim

They provide bread at the table while you wait for your order, plus they will bring more as you request. The bread was ok, what was memorial was that it was not very good ... They provide a bowl of Alfredo to dip your bread in but the sauce was meh. The cooks were slow, for straight off the menu items with no customization, it was slow. We had the Alfredo with Chicken. Yeah I would not recommend this dish ... Just like I mentioned before, the Alfredo is meh. Adding pepper and a dash of salt did not help the flavoring. Would I go back, no. I went to meet friends before an event.

We enjoyed it. We…read morestopped here after a musical in Cleburne. The Breakroom is in a metal building. The hostess station is just inside the front entry with the bar near there too. The dining room is separated from the bar area. It has 10' side walls and open, high ceilings. There's a couple of TVs in the dining room and a couple of ceiling fans. There's HVAC vents hanging down and there are 2 mini splits. It's nearly 100F outside and it's comfortable enough (not real cool) in here. Our server, Penelope, was quite pleasant. She was able to answer our food questions and give us recommendations. They use handheld order taking devices. I like that. I had a Shiner Boch to start and my wife had a Margarita rocks - no salt. Both drinks came out lightning fast. My beer was nice and cold and her margarita was real tasty and not too sweet. For dinner, I ordered the smaller order of Fried Catfish with a side. I had Tots. The fish filet was large, thin-battered, crispy and hot. The tots side was huge, crispy, hot and tasty. A great fried food meal. Took some of it home too. My wife ordered the Street Tacos. She was able to eat 2 of the 3 and she enjoyed them. Their homemade salsa was good and it had some heat to it. We brought her 3rd taco home. Pricing was fair. Service was great and fast. Good tasted great. We'll be back to the Break Room.

The last review in last 8 months was bad and makes me wonder if there's new owners that don't care about quality. We stopped in here to try their dogs after coming through Cleburne for the day. From the outside it doesn't look like much and is really hard to find. Once inside, it looked really cool and different. We stood up front for 5 minutes not realizing we had to walk to the back of the restaurant to order. Something seemed off almost immediately when the cashier showed us individual sandwich baggies containing specific portions of frozen fries. That's clue #1. We ordered then sat down. They brought out our drinks and one of the cups was leaking from big chunks of square ice that cut the styrofoam. We had to walk behind when front counter to get another cup because nobody comes out from the back. Then they brought out lunch. You never can redo a first impression. Right away we knew this wasn't going the way we hoped for when the footling dog was laying across TWO(2) 6" hot dogs buns. WOW! Even Sonic can get a true foot long bun to match their foot long dog. Well....it tasted like a Wal-Mart hot dog. Even the chili tasted burnt and very plain. Guarantee it's canned chili and not even good chili. The bun(s) were the cheapest horrible buns I've ever had. Honestly I've had better leftovers two days old. The other Sauerkraut style dog was pitiful. The bun was so soggy it fell apart and ZERO taste in that sauerkraut. The only thing good was a decent braut. The French fries were dollar store frozen quality. Once again the chili was horrible. If I could give this place NO Stars I would. I can hear up chili and hot dogs at home in the microwave and they would have been better.

I was really excited to try the vegetarian chili and hot dogs they have. We enter, after busy lunch hours and the place is empty except for one table who have already received their food. We walk up to the counter and order vegetarian hot dogs and veggie chili. 20-25 minutes later I see that the family who came in after us received their food and I walk up to the counter to check. That's when I see them open a brand new can of 'Loma Luna' vegetarian chili. Seriously, who needs 25 minutes to open a can and reheat the contents? Had I not seen them opening the can of chili, I would have just thought it's a sad bowl of chili but now I know it's a bad bowl of 'canned' chili. Am now confused if am reviewing the restaurant or Loma Luna. Hot dogs weren't good either. Ikea sells better veggie hot dogs for less than a dollar.
