my chicken breast was soggy and I got the 3 piece bone in . Now they upcharge for breast. ( because they are bigger) I won't be back . The drive thru doesn't tell you they upcharge. $1 for each breast. Tea was watered down . And my mash potato and gravy was cold. And we ate in parking lot so can't blame that being cold for ride home. I use to love Chicken E but I will go elsewhere from now on. Food sucked and tea was bad. The is overpriced for what it is. $33.43 for 2 people !!!!And dinner roll was doughy. Basically my whole order sucked. Don't go to the one on Main Street in Cleburne. Best fried chicken around and priced decently is at Brookshire Brothers in Grandview. And yes you can feed read more

OMG! Not just this Chicken Express, ALL OF THEM! $17.89 for 1 person! Before taxes! A 7 PIECE TENDER MEAL with the one side it comes with and a drink. NOTHING ELSE! I could go to a nice sit down restaurant for this or less. The chicken was dry. They are suck a RIP OFF! SOOOO NOT WORTH ALMOST $20 for one person! read more

Service was nice, but the food was cold. I ordered a family size of their jalapeño poppers. The outside was golden and crispy but the inside was ice cold. I imagine they just had the fryers turned up too high. read more

I asked for no gravy and guess what? THEY ADDED GRAVY!? and that's not all they also had large sprite on the recipe but ITS WATER

I like Chicken Express. I had never heard of it before moving to Burleson, but since then it has become my favorite chicken place. I love the corn nuggets and and tenders, but also love that they will let me order white meat chicken only. Churches will also, but the one in Cleburne has gone down hill lately. I don't know if it is all of them, but that 1 sure has. Anyway, Chicken Express chicken is better I just wish they would get some better fries. Their service is good. If lines are long in the drive thru they will come outside and take your order, and sometimes bring it out before the line ever moves. I really don't think there is ambiance either in my car or in a fast food chicken restaurant. They use to have jalapeno poppers but I am not seeing them on the menu here, but that is probably because grubhub provided the menu. I also like their apple and cherry pies. read more

the staff is really nice and very sweet, but i found a caterpillar in my drink :( it kinda freaked me out read more

Great chicken. People were very nice to me and my order was correct. Store was pretty clean.

ordered 7 piece spicy chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and gravy and 1/2 and 1/2 tea at the drive thru. $17.00. When I got home had 10 small pieces that were over cooked, dry, as if they broke them up and dropped them back in the fryer. Mashed potatoes had no gravy, and tea was completely unsweetened. I will never go back there and will drive to Joshua to at least get normal chicken sizes and gravy on mashed potatoes and gravy. The owners should retrain every employee and manager or replace them. Employees were rude, disheveled looking and obviously did not want to wait on me. read more

Chicken, fries, Mac and cheese, and gravy were all cold. Waited for a long time, just to ger cold food. Window attendant leaned out the window and complained about how tired she was and that her feet hurt. Truly disappointed, because Chicken Express is normally good, but this location failed terribly. read more

Staff was sweet and fun, inside was clean and our food was made fress and extra hot!! Cleburne is a cute little town. read more

Long wait times. First visit came out cold and greasy second visit, chicken and fries were burnt and biscuit was dry and stale. Definitely worth driving to the other side of town for the other location. read more

Horrible customer service and terrible food at this location.. who makes people bring their food back after it's already been touched this weak ass place dose.!!! Will never eat here again and every one I know won't either..! I'll be there tomorrow for a full refund and let them know how much they suck .. thanks read more

Worst food ever. Waited over 35mins. Chicken was burnt and all the family size sides had set on the counter the whole 35 mins wait for the chicken. Over $30 and I sent a message to the email they provide with no type of reply was even given. I will never go back to this location. Your customers should always be your first priority and their food should always be the type of food you would be proud to feed your mom read more

To give these guys one star is being generous. They have gone from the best to the absolute worst in town. Dried out and nasty! For what I paid for a box of crap I could have gone to Kruegers , paid half the price and gotten good food. You people should be ashamed of yourselves! You won't be in business long serving the garbage you serve. GOODBYE FOREVER! read more

They need to regulate the health department rules and regulations. The guy they had at the window was playing with his hair which was all in his face and then rubbed his nose I thought was so disgusting if they haven't had the health department come out they need to because. I'm just concerned about whatever else happens in the kitchen read more

Seriously, we have been in the drive-thru for over 30 minutes now...still no food. We have been sitting at the window for over 10 minutes with not a peep from the employees. We would leave if we hadn't already paid. read more

This restaurant has 1.5 stars rating and there is a reason for that. The customer service is horrible and the food isn't better. The staff is so rude that I spoke to the manager which was useless. I asked the manager for the employees name and she refused to give her name. This place needs to be shut down. The place is badly managed. The reputation of the place is so bad, even the locals avoid it. The manager needs to be fired. They couldn't even give me the right order even after the bad service. read more

Not a good idea to be disrespectful and condescending to the customer when taking my order. Everyone else standing around with their arms folded..I will not be back and your employees need major training. Maybe your business would improve read more

NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! Ate a 3pc fish with hush puppies and tarter sauce. Husband had a 3pc chicken from here on Friday 5/18/2018. Four to five hours later I was belching an awful taste, throwing up, sweating profusely, and ass attack from hell!! All I could do this weekend was drink Gatorade and eat bananas, oatmeal, and tried to have a good dinner on Sunday evening with more bouts of ass attack so bad I had to go the hospital. I have never ever had anything like this before, husband is fine. Doctor prescribed medications that are over $100.00 bucks even with my insurance. Oh and a follow up phone call that evening only got a response of do you want a replacement meal? WHAT??? Are you kidding me? I wouldn't touch your food with a 10 ft pole. Husband went up there and was told the same thing in person and asked if we wanted anything else, oh and they said they were sorry!! Yep you are sorry!! Should have stuck w/ R&K Cafe at least I wouldn't be dealing with this right now. read more

1/11 /20 @4:50pm In my 40 plus years I have never sent food back, complained about less than good service, or wrote one single review. I work in healthcare and I know what kind of effect those things can have. Everyone has days that are just "off" so to speak. However, the so called " customer service" at this particular establishment was absolutely THE WORST service I have ever experienced! The level of rudeness displayed by the older woman that took our order in the drive thru and that I again spoke with when I went inside was 100% unacceptable. Anyone who works with the public and will stand behind the drive thru window, that she has just slammed in someone's face, and not only loud talk but cuss and make racial slurs ABOUT the people sitting right there at the drive thru window should seriously consider seeking out additional training in how to, at the very least, act like you are not the bitter, racist individual being portrayed to the patrons of Chicken E. I will be writing a formal letter to corporate with the details of the rest of this encounter. read more

The customer service was awful and the food is borderline. to awful. When I asked a basic question to have tea with no ice he had to ask someone. When I received my order there was no gravy and looked at me like it was a ridiculous request. BUT THE WORST part was when I found a piece of wood in the green beans. I tried to find the number for the owner to let him know; but could not locate it. (I did not want to reach out to the manager). I could not find the number for the corporate office either. I guess they don't care or would have made getting hold of someone easier. read more

This location is usually my favorite. Sometimes the wait is long, but the faces are usually smiling and the people are kind. I do not know what happened tonight. I'm not angry at my experience, I'm disappointed. Where I usually do not mind waiting I found myself ready to get out of there as fast as possible. Everything I requested was an issue, it was almost like the staff did not want my business. No rolls, no wings, 15 minutes on the tenders. This was all ok, until the attitudes of the people were clearly on their faces. There was one staff member, I do not know her name, that made the effort to make it better, but I literally have never been so appalled by the attitudes of employees that work at this location. I will not be back. I will take my business else where. This is not a complaint to get money back or anything like that, the food was fresh so I cannot complain about that, but it is a heads up that the location needs some work in customer service because the employees will run people off. read more
